But as we approach the final stretch, it’s a delicate dance of vigilance and care to ensure a clean and bountiful harvest. Here’s a deep dive into this exciting and educational week: The “Flush” in Full Swing The flush continues as we prepare the ladies for their final days. While we’re a week or so away from harvest, the plants are responding beautifully, showcasing stunning fades that highlight their unique genetics. This fading process is a critical part of the journey, helping the plants naturally finish their cycle while preserving those complex terpene profiles we all love. The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Made the flip to flower to start this week. Did a bunch of lst to get the side branches booming for the Scrog. Put a second net right above her to start things off spacing and structre wise. Second she starts to stretch its scrog game on! Got her on a well balanced diet to support her transition period. Can't wait to see her explode and take off! Start rowing me out some colas! 12/05Gave the cover crop a light watering this morning to keep the bed happy. The girls are looking a little hungry gonna give light feed next watering probably tomorrow. Temps have dropped some due to winter weather 12/06 gave light feed with this watering and a little more water per plant now that roots are established.. IPM sprayed at lights out with lost coast plant Therapy gave a light spray with some wdg3000 to pots and about a gallon of it into the cover crop.

Recovery ,recovery, recovery. Drowned them with nuts @1400 ppm. Hot for a hot soil mix. Soil mix was missing something different that 3 of the strains were needing. I dropped the bomb on them, defoliated the hell out of them and lst . Dark Devil no lst. Let the nutrients set 2 days and flushed with RO testing run off and ph. The plants that weren't showing to much signs of nutrient burn flushed with sledge hammer back to around 1200 ppm 6.5 ph. Plants with burn flushed back to 600 ppm wattered with dechlorinated tap at 7.0 ph. Finally the seeds man white widow and the gg#4 started into flower. The kera white widow and the critcle purp are loving the environment and nutes. May have to flush the Dark Devil a little more or full flush it. Still showing signs of nute burn. Over all happy with the grow. I definitely know what each strain likes and what they dont. I'm keeping a physical journal on each for future grows. Lessons learned: For a first indoor grow and a first auto grow, it would have been easier to select hybrids that were close in their sativa/indica ratio. Sativas are sensitive temperamental little girls. Get a dehumidifier so the room or tent can be contained with less co2 loss for summer. Ventless blue flame wall heaters work great in the winter for heating the room and creating plenty of co2. Running a test grow with 6 plants when your home only 40 hours then gone for 3 days is fun insanity.

Day 22 - 28 She is really eager. The growth rate is noticeable every morning when I have look into the growing tent... I am keeping the same nutrient rates because, as you can see from the pictures, there are signs of nutrient toxicity. I am giving CalMag and Rhizo as mentioned above, but I have decreased all the TriPart nutrients to half. I will continue watering her this way for the next 2-3 sessions. I am also confused regarding defoliation. Every session I am cutting some leaves if they are blocking too much light and if I cannot manage to push them down. However, I will wait for the real defoliation session until the early flowering phase. What do you guys think?

• FLOWERING WEEK #2 ✎ ANOTHER HEAVY LST

Am Wochenende haben wir das Netz gespannt. 2/3 der Blütezeit hat sie jetzt ca. hinter sich gebracht. Nach dem ausharren und dem neutralisieren des gekippten Wassers, trat sehr schnell auch ein Mangel sehr vermutlich ,,Schwefel,, am Haupttrieb im obigen Bereich auf. Da wir aber so oder so in der ersten Woche mit erhöhtem Mineralien bedarf (Top- Max) uns befinden, ist dieses nach dieser Situation ein absolut positives Anzeichen, da es bedeutet das sie die Nährstoffe benötigt und somit auch verarbeitet. Auffallend und auch nicht mehr zu ignorieren sind die Thripse. Um diese kümmern sich aber ab Paketeintreffen die neuen Florfliegenlarven. Ansonsten haben wir beim Netzt Spannen noch kleine nachwachsende Stins weggenommen um wirklich alle benötigte Kraft in die Cola´s zu bekommen. Wir Gießen im Moment ca. alle 24 Stunden 4 Liter Nährstofflösung inkl. 0,08 g Co2_ Tablette und 4 ml PK14/15 Wir wünschen allen Growmies viel Erfolg und eine angenehme Woche! Seit dem 16.10.24 wird Sie nur noch 11 Stunden beleuchtet und statt 4 Liter mag sie im moment eher wieder die 3 Liter pro Tag Nährstofflösung.

This plant was really great. Beautiful structure, purple stems, dense sticky and stinky nugs. Super frosty and really did great overall. Super excited for the quality smoke. I left the two side branches on to allow the seeds to finish developing. Nice sativa side cross with Durban Poison and a nice Indica side cross with Big Bud 😎💪
