Grow diary for week 18: The final week Hello, dear grower friends! I’m here with the final update on my plants in week 18. This is my first grow and I’m overjoyed by how it turned out. I’m thankful for all the support and feedback I’ve received from you and the “Wonderful Social Group”. The harvest was delayed a bit, but today I have good news: I just harvested the plants and they look amazing. I will dry trim them, as this offers me the most comfort. I’m happy to show you the buds in the following days, they are big and beautiful. It was a fantastic journey with many ups and downs, but I will definitely continue this hobby. Apart from the help of this community, which was really fantastic, I met some great people and had some nice exchanges. I want to thank some people in particular: First of all, the wonderfulsocialgroup, fantastic people, always available and helpful. Without you, I wouldn’t have made it this far. First i have to say i messed up at gemenation 3 of them dyed and had to gereminat again. So: Sweet seeds: Black Cream Gem at 30/3, Veg at 6/4 is now preflowering at week 3 and was the only one that didnt dyed. Zamnesia: Wedding Cake Gem at 6/4, Veg at 12/4 is now at week 2 Bomberry Glue Gem at 8/4, Veg at 14/4 is now at week 2 also Purple Couscous Gem at 11/4, Veg at 17/4 is now at end of week 1 Its going to be a strange diary but because the timelapse ideia makes all sense just to make one Diary. When I was enjoying some smoke from a green gelato came to my mind what if i automated my garden? Hand on in some zigbee sensores and plugs and my Hassio. Still No soil moiste control just a miflora but not very accuret still searching for sensor that works to come up with a watering system All its maid to have a <300watts consum so small lamps and no dehumidifier buts very easy to scale it up. Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 6 2/9-15 The Cheese gals are in full flower, the buds are puffing out and stacking. I even see some lower buds connecting to the upper buds and some pistils are turning brown. There is some smell when I open the tent. The F1 genetics are reflected in that these 2 plants are almost identical. I don’t see much difference in their growth so far using the different mediums. Soil and soil/coco blend. Maybe harvest will show a difference in yield from each one. Time will tell. On 2/13 I did major defoliation on my Cheese gals. I removed all large fan leaves and any leaves shading bud sites. Initially, I thought this would be my last defoliation, however I have heard that 1) they continue to grow new leaves until day 20 of flower and 2) there must be enough foliage on the plant to photosynthesize energy. Well, I hope I left enough leaves for energy to keep bulking up the buds. Stretching has slowed down. Both girls grew only an inch and now 17 inches. This is only the end of flower week 2. Controller is set to flower. I add 2 gallons of water to the T700 humidifier daily to keep the VPD in line. 2/9 & 11 4 gal fed 2 liter each nutrients added at ½ of recommended amount. Making 4 gallons since I have 2 pots of carrots and a Dill in the back. Day 65 since seed touched soil. Big disaster in garden !!! I added epsom salt and didnt phed , was in a rush to overtime, they dranked in 3 days , that was unexpected .... Joe has only fresh roots damage, all brown and dead, canopy stayed ok i would say. Running out of space. Mars Hydro TSL2000 is doing great job, two plants are like 5 cm away , still no signs of burn. Try to keep humidity in 65-70 % range, temps around 22, nights 20. All works. Will top up this week with next watering, want to give one plain. Wrong Ph led to slow uptake, two plants are in limbo, behind couple days by weight, if troubles are bigger than i see now - maybe even 3-4. So sad .... One time wrong ph and you can damage garden heavily ... Close up bud photos were taken under max light, so colours are false. Day 66. Joe escaped best, colour is very nice, leaves praying, only good signs from that plant ... Still a week behind in development compared to others. Day 68. They drink fast, 3 days were needed only. Loaded 4 liters again. Made top up. See bleaching, raised lights , have 10 cm left. Jie is having very healthy distance, leaf colour now best. Top up was dosed, mixed well and laid on top, then i rough and mix top lair of soil with top up and only then i water. Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering. Things are going good in here. The resin production has really kicked in now. Smells just wonderful in here. Like a sweet orange flavored chalky candy. Delicious. Big snow fall last night. Big for here on the west coast of Canada. 30 to 40 cm fell here and I was worried about my little humming birds. It's been -4*c here the last 2 nights. The weather says -8*c tonight with wind. I don't know how they do it, they are just so small to sit on a branch and make it through the freezing night. Such amazing little birds. It took me 2.5 hours to dig out this morning. Have fun. Chuck.
