Day 152 from seed ( 98 days since I changed photoperiod) and I'm harvesting after one week flush. A few buds seemed to have started decaying inexplicably, like burned, and had acquired a grayish- brownish coloration that I didn't like at all. I think she's caught a fungus. Besides I also think spider mites have done they job well because I was amazed at the extent they had sucked the sap on almost every leaf of the plant, fan leaves mostly. They have weakened the plant so much that she may be int he process of a more terrible thing that could be fungi. Back to spider mites, it is indeed nasty to see the damage this pest has done so far, because I see they have chewed almost -if not all- leaves, and fortunately they hadn't started to form webs, which I abhore seeing. I had started to see adult spider mite forms into the very inside of buds, while I was inspecting the thricomes, so before this nasty pest would eat up my precious buds, or any other cause (mold, etc) I took the decision to flush and harvest her progressively. First I'd harvest the most ripen buds or those that show signs of decaying and leave to the end the most immature (those that were far from lights, which are terminal and very big and dense though a but immature and bright green. The plant looked overall ready and I preferred to harvest the most bud I could, as you may imagine, but I would have liked another week for flushing more thoroughly. I've been flushing with tapwater and 2 mL/L Flawless Finish from Advanced Nutrients. In the next few days I'll be finishing her completely, drying won't take long and as for curing I think a couple of weeks. The smell in the room is really heavy (in fact it has been heavy for the last month), it stinks oif citrus here.

SUNSET SHERBET 9/13-21 The transition to my new grow has been chaos. After reading the events of the last week you too will shake your head in disbelief, but honestly friends you can’t make this stuff up. After germination on 8/30 Sunset was transplanted to her final 3 gallon pot on 9/3 because her early true leaves were brown on the ends which I attribute to the ph of the seed medium. I also cleaned and disinfected the AC Infinity 4X4 for this new grow. The Frosted Guava that germinated on the same day did not make the transition. I started her replacement seed on 9/8 followed by germination on 9/12. The babies are starting in the 3x3. Meanwhile, new fans arrived from AC infinity to replace the fans that weren’t working correctly. One fan made clicks when it rotated and the other did not rotate at all. These new models needed a different splitter than what I was using. Ordered that, now wait for the splitter. A splitter from Amazon arrived quickly and I moved the new gals into the 4x4 tent. Since I’m using controller 69, I set the program to seedlings which has high VPD. The following morning, moisture vapor was seeping out of the tent through the zipper as well as the controller port. It was basically raining in the tent with about 1.5 gallons of was on the floor. Clean up on aisle 2. While I was mopping the tent, the lights were flickering on and off. I just knew the electronics were fried. I reported the situation to AC Infinity. Working through each step determined that the lights were not impaired by the moisture. With each step, areas that could have been the issue were eliminated. Aha..The vent motor was burned out. They are sending a replacement. (note: AC Infinity is very responsive and at no charge to me, replaces malfunctioning equipment). My babies are back in the 3x3 until the new vent arrives. But wait! There’s more! While all the issues with the 4x4 were going on Sunset Sherbet and Frosted Guava were in the 3X3. 9/13 The day after Frosted Guava germinated soil, I opened the tent only to find hundreds of bugs on the floor clustered in corners and in puddles (drippings from wet towel). I took the pots outside and flushed them with about 3 gallons of well water. Sprayed the tent with diluted vinegar water, wiped up the bugs then wiped the floors, and walls with alcohol and put the gals back in the 3x3 tent. It’s not over yet. 9/17 open the tent with more bugs on the floor. That did it. Another transplant for both gals into brand new Happy Frog soil without any amendments. I put the gals on crates and put a humidifier in the tent until I move them to the 4x4. Autoflower plants do not like transplanting so I hope they have not suffered. To help alleviate stress, I provided a light feed with Plant juice. 2 TBSP /gal plant Juice Ph to 6.62 PPM 470 Water temp 70 Pics taken 9/18, 9/20 & 9/21 Sunset Sherbet 200ml with extra poured around the rim of pot Frosted Guava 50ml with extra poured around the rim of pot It can only get better from here. Great growth! It’s incredible how much faster they grow in hydro systems! Everything’s looking good Not changing res yet as the roots just started getting full into the water so I’ll give them another week to drink up what’s in there and then change with stronger nutes. PHperfect seems to be working well Keeping it around 6.0ph Got my chiller setup but made the ph jump a bit so may have to keep an eye on that.

Hello growmies! Welcome to week six of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! So here we are at week six and every one of these girls are at a slightly different stage, it is quite fascinating to watch them develop one after the other. Today I made the last adjustment to the light possible. I removed the adjustable hangers and affixed a carabiner which I tightly tied to the top of the tent bar. There is about 1.5 inches of space between the top of the shade and the tallest part of the roof of the tent. Plant 1 is already taller than this, and it looks like plant 6 and maybe even plant 5 are going to join it. It's a madness. I am sure you have already looked at the photos but just in case you do what I do and read the diary first... Here is my assessment at the beginning of week 6: Plant 1: Height: 1st (137cm) - what can I say about this ridiculous plant? Day 36... 137cm tall. I have had to raise the light to as high as it is physically possibly to raise it and it's still not high enough. She is done stretching now, she may add 3-5cm over the next week or so but I don't expect more than that, so her top of her main cola going to have to develop above the level of the light. Nothing I can really do, nothing wise anyway. What a monster plant. Maturation: 4th - early into flower - bud sites developing, pistils just starting to explode. Plant 2: Height: 4th (111cm) - this plant has been there or there abouts as the tallest plant for most of the grow, but she has topped out at 111cm. She will gain some during flower but not much more than a few centimetres. Very impressive plant, loads of bud sites, really big strong secondary branches. This one is going to be colas galore. Maturation: 3rd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 3: Height: 6th (95cm) For some brief days the tallest plant in the room, she peaked early and is now the "shortest" at "only" 95cm for this "50-70cm" strain. She is utterly dwarfed by four of her five sisters in just about every department, being quite a bit smaller even than plant 4 (although I have removed the most lower nodes from this plant). Compared with her sisters she is almost a runt... except that she is 25cm taller than the strain top-end average and matches the maximal height of the previous tallest Epsilon F1 plant I am aware of. It's not that she is small, actually she's pretty big for an Epsilon F1, it's just that the rest of the girls are on another level altogether. Plants 1, 5 and 6 are all absolute beasts. Maturation: 1st - well into flower - first shades of brown in some pistils. Plant 4: Height: 5th (98cm) although only 3cm taller than plant 3, overall she is a much larger plant. Her secondary nodes are the same height as plant 3. Maturation: 2nd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 5: Height: 3rd (113cm) - one of the two thick/short girls who have grown at a similar pace all along - she is further ahead than plant 6 but not by much and I think she will probably exceed 120cm this week, though I do not think she will outgrow plant 1 or 6. Maturation: 5th - early into flower - bud sites developing. Plant 6: Height: 2nd (120cm) - my predictions were correct about this girl and her continued growth. I now think she might actually outgrow plant 1, which is quite worrying. Maturation: 6th - early into flower - bud sites forming - by far the least mature plant of the six. ### Week 6 Day 2 23:00 30/7 Photographed. Raised the light. Rotated the plants. Inspected, measured and reported on each plant. ### Week 6 Day 3 23:00 31/7 It has not escaped my attention that the plants that are more advanced into flower have darkened and have some burnt tips. I need to flush them and lay off the base nutes a bit.
