26/02/19 It's now been a week since my 3 plants sprouted into this life, the seedlings are going very well apart from 2 seedlings toppling, hopefully I've saved them from digging them in deeper. One seems to have stunted though. Have fed them their first grow feed which was 0.5ml of Kalong Grow and 0.1ml of Rootbastic mixed into 1l of leached tapwater then divided into 3 parts each per pot. I'll do a mid-week update, nothing like the long read I wrote for the 1st week. #13.9.2021 - Feed is only water and slowly reducing pH down to 5.8 with GHE’s pH down. Trying to get most shades out from the foliage #17.9.2021 - Pheno#1 went for the 48h sleep before the harvest #18.9.2021 - Stem splitted Pheno#3 as well. We’ll see how it affects for last 5 days. Pheno#1 will be harvested tonight after 48hrs darkness.

Still getting abit attacked by slugs, got to go down tomorrow with some copper tape and slug pellets. Lost few inner nodes and the 2 tops 1 is lagging behind the other. But gave a big feed so hoping will help and once these slug deterrents down they won’t endure anymore stress. That’s all this week. Happy growing🌱

This week Went very uneventful. Reduced the fertilizer down to 600ppm and flushed twice on Wednesday and Thursday, on Wednesday I still had 100ppm in the tank after the second flush it went down to 0. Kept her in darkness until Friday night and then started chopping her down.

I think I trained too hard too late in harvest. One of the Wedding Cake plants went hermie and pollenated everything. I'm disappointed but I'll be more gentle at the end of flower next grow. The buds were still good in a vape but I had to be careful of the seeds. I made hash from most of it.

Salute comrade ! According to the passport, it would be time to harvest, and they look very appetizing. Not all trichomes are still amber, it will stand for 1 week in a solution with honey and molasses. 5 days of flush, 2 days of the night👌

I put the plants into an NFT system couple weeks ago. I could have waited a bit longer for the plants to develop a stronger root system before placing the rockwool cubes into NFT but I was being impatient because of the slow start and wanted to get the plants under proper light. Now two weeks later they are growing well with good root development. I switched the lights to flowering cycle about a week ago so they should start stretching soon. No preflowers yet.

the girl is hot, it's 31° in the tent, but she continues her work :) the rings look great:) the girl got 3 liters of water with 6.3 ph this week :) not much left until the finish line :)

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. This plant was quite bushy and I had to get rid of a lot of lower growth, leaves and mini shoots, gave it a pretty aggressive stripping and half ass lollipoping. This will be the last week they are in Veg and switching to flower cycle next week with a 12/12 photoperiod. I was going to try a 13/11 but I wanted to test out the automatic light functions on the Medic Grows Minisun-2, So this will be relieved next week. Been having issues with PH in the medium again and some nutrient uptake. I am thinking I will switch to another brand I have to use up, trip tonic from my last grow on the balcony. Its a bit more complex and not as easy as mix into water and feed but I think its going to help me solve a lot of the issues I am getting. Given this update is a few days late some of these pics are not from today. the clones in the photos above are from the beginning of the week when I potted them up.
