so here we are after 7 days from the packets. I used a basic potting compost in a multi-tray and only dampened the surface to encourage some moisture to soak the seed casings. I then made a small hole about 10-15ml deep and poured the seed in from the packets. I then loosely recovered the hole and gave the surface another misting to resit the compost. They then went into my heated propagator and were left until the next morning when I misted them again. I only needed to keep the surface from drying right out initially. They did not mess about and hit the surface around day 5 properly. Now nearly a week out of the ground I will be putting them into their big pots in the next day or so. They are really string looking and two of the mash took a hit when they flopped from getting too dry between mistings. I used a support to sort them and they have bounced backnnow thankfully. great genetics at work I feel.

Day 7 Veg: A great start for the ladies has been slowed slightly by leaving them a few days too long in their germination pots. I usually plant into the final.pot from seed bit uad to wait this time for space. They took a hit with transplant shock I think and a few deformed leaf sets have resulted. I think this will sort itself once the plants resettle bit with time being precious on autos , I hope its soon. One of the Banana Mash is a real mutant it seems with two odd looking leaves and a tiny bit of new node showing through. The Purple monkey are all doing very well so far and rhe transplant has not hit them so hard. i also think I have a mango cream growing from a seed that popped out of the mango crop I did. lets see. Be safe and free Growmies.

Day 14 Veg: A great start to the week once they settled into their new pots. hopefully i havent stunted their progress. The mutant Banana Mash is now trying to normalise a little more with new growth. Still fairly twisted but on the mend. The other 3 are more typical of new plants with their growth . I have topped one and fimmed another with one being left natural at this point. They are on their 5th node mainly ( except mutant!) and I am hoping to open their frames right up to get light to all new growth equally. I don't think they will grow too tall by design and I don't want to limit their growth in any way so i will gently manage them as they grow. The Purple Monkey are doing brilliantly so far with plenty of vigorous growth among them. I am holding the 5th nodes down on two of them and have fimmed one. These are in bigger 60L pots so should use the space to its best I think. I also have 2 plants that came from the recent harvest. One of the ladies must have had a pollen sack hid away that managed to seed a few of the exotic girls amd visited some possible viable hybrids. 2 of these are now in the grow alongside. I will be watching them like a hawk and any sign of a testicle will result in a slaughtering of the LGBGTQ sympathiser instantly . lol We do male or female only unlike the human race !!. heehee ( bit of a political hot potato!). I gave them an actual megacrop feed today to boost the available elements for the speedy growth coming. The L.o.s is still active and providing enough nutrition but I am trying to avoid the drop once the stretch period gets busy and saps the available food from it. This seems to have been happening most crops since beginning using it to avoid the leaves losing their solent green colour too fast like starvation can cause. I also added a touch of calmag to counter the L.e.d leeching that often occurs in flowering. So there we have it Growmies. A good week with the beginning of l.s.t and some promising growth. Another issue that I have managed to resolve is the R.h. We are getting warm dry air now so the room is getting silly hot and very dry at around 40% . This is great for the flowering times but has been an issue for veg in the past. not wanting to invest in a humidifier that is costly and expensive to run , I had resulted to using towels in buckets to attempt to raise it this does work in a totally sealed tent , in my leaky d.i.y "tailored " one , this has been hard to maintain. The solution came in the form of a vicks vaporiser that I bought from fleabay. It works perfectly to bring up the rh to around 70% on its lowest setting. The tank is enough to hold a days supply of water and shuts off with the lights. simple but effective fix to a common problem we face indoors. Be safe and well. Until next time. G7 Summit will be interesting in the uk!!

Day 21 Veg: Hi all. Hope we are all free and healthy in the grow diaries community this week. It has been a very enjoyable and productive week this week. The purple monkey are gaining a nice size and taking to training really well. Their bases are getting thicker and i am now seeing small white female hairs at their bracts. I think flowering is very close now on these ladies. All three are looking very healthy and green with no signs of any issues to worry about so far. They are all reaching the pots edges with their side branches now so should make a decent sized canopy and bush after the stretch has finished. I did strip lower, small tips out too so that air can reach all of their budsites from underneath too. Banana Mash is a little behind the monkey so far and has no real gender signs yet. The mutant is growing out a little better now but is still looking odd. I have included 3 seeds that came from my last exotic run and where in some of thenbuds that I harvested. I suspect a lemon mimosa xhicked some pollen before I took her/he down and it hit all of the strains except 1. I now have about 100 seeds crossed with the mimosa lemon amd have kept each seed batch separate so I can have some idea of at least the mothers genetics if mimosa isn't daddy !!. They are also doing really well with the Mango cream X being the best looking so far. be interesting to see if they remain autos of just keep growing as photoperiod. I am adding the Megacrop to feeds now as I approach flowering and plan to germinate the next exotic goodies to join the second harvest. ( to follow...) They are all being trained now amd have taken to the idea quite well. I did have a snap on one of the Purple monkey ladies but tape should rescue the buds on that limb hopefully. So there we have it , another good week with plenty to do and the next week should hopefully see the start of some flowering stretch to wrestle with as they explode with growth. lol be well growmies.

Day 28 and we are in flower !!!. The Purple monkey have really accelerated their growth this last week and have been building flowers for the past 3 days. They are all really healthy looking with nice strong limbs to support the upcoming fruits. There are 2 different phenotypes by the look of them with #3 being slightly different to the other 2 . I have been gently shaping them towards the pots edges without stunting their growth too much vertically. They are very long limbed from their stretching and the nodes lengths are a fairly medium distance from each other so won't be forming donkey di#$s buds but should have some very nice cluster buds with their overall indica leaning sides. At around 18 inches tall and still stretching, these girls could be great yielders. No signs of any issues at all with the addition of the sumo boost which will support the flowering cycle but won't stop the stretch as other boosters can do. this means I can use it from the start of flowering. Banana mash have spent the week stretching past rhe tries and opening up for light. They are a little behind the Monkey girls but are showing starts of flowers now. Their limbs are a lot less solid than the other strain too with a loose limbed appearance more like a bush. 2 of them have been set in a more splayed out mainline approach to keep them low and get the lowers into the canopy too .i have included some pics of the lst to show howbi did itThey have a lot of potential mains now that the apical dominance has been broken. hopefully a ring of buds should form on them both now. the #1 is more natural with a topping only to stop her getting too tall. She has some nice mains forming now too. The Mutant Banana is a really odd lady. she has so many growth tips close together in her bunched up appearance. She is starting to stretch now so will finish quite good I think. I have been growing out 2 seeds that came from previous grows of exotic strains. sadly the pollen "donated " came from another breeders strain but hit most of the crop on a couple of buds so gave me seeds. i am testing a couple out with this run so include them for their exotic connections. The mango cream X is doing brilliant and had to be supercropped over into an s shape to hold her down a little. def female so far and growing very quickly. The Exotic ? is just starting her real growth now but will be a squat lady by the look of her so far. no idea which she is but will be an interesting grow out for fun. The fact that one went into flowering already is a good sign of an auto genetic at least. So there we have it growmies another week done and exciting times ahead in flower. be a safe and well.

Day 14 flowering: A great week for stretch among all the ladies this week. The Banana mash got a clean out and minor defoliate as they desperately needed it. They can now breath a bit better and airflow can get around the bases far better. The #1 isna nice size and looks very happy tonget in with growing unheeded. The #2, #3 and #4 are not so grown up and need Daddy to keep helping out !. #2 is not a happy girl from being overfed. She has a nitrogen claw around the bud sites and has now been given plain water to relieve the toxicity hopefully. The others have absorbed the feeds and not shown any signs but sjebseems to need less food. The #1 and #2 Purple Monkey are really focused on their bud growth now it seems while the # 3 is still stretching and sharing the energy around I have had to supercrop a few of her bigger mains to stop them touching the lights and her node distances are still widening with the stretch. 2 differently structured phenotypes are at play now and clearly different. I am very impressed with these genetics and wish I had a room full of them now..... The mimosa x exotic crosses are doing well too with the Mango X Mimosa gaining some speed now and definitely a lady. Exciting to see what she buds like now. The Exotic ? is starting to lengthen her branches finally. I have moved her to the end to encourage the gains upward. she isnt in female mode yet but is showing some signs of a reveal. The heat waves we keep getting are driving temps up to the 30° s. Thankfully running with the doors open helps as does having the exhale bag to offer more co2. I have a new viparspectra xs1500 to add to the room now too but it is a 150w and a really neat little unit so should be easily to add. plans afoot on this one.... Well that's it for this one Growmies . be safe and well until the next time.

Day 21 Flowering: Well what a week it has been this week growmies Dealing with flash heat waves , building soils , setting up new lights and generally trying to squeeze every last inch of my grow space for plants without creating a stagnant lower growth below the canopy . airflow is vital with such a cramped , hot and dense budded canopy starting. I have been feeding the Banana mash with a slightly lighter feed than the Purple monkey and they look a lot less toxic. Still way behind the Purple Monkey for bud production and density , theyvare stretching wildly still. The main 3 are very similar in size etc but #4 is really getting like a bowl of noodles now and will need some serious thinning out and brutal decisions in who goes to harvest time. Being in the middle of the canopy she is really trying to spread out wider too. The Banana mash are really good, vigorous growers with lots of side branching to create some really big plants full of budsites , the key will be if you can utilise all of that growth or if ,like me, you need to select the best branches and tips to focus on. The Purple Monkey are all doingreally good and for 21 days , the buds are very well developed. It could indicate an early flowering finish around 7 weeks possibly but I am hoping it is more about their intended finish being huge buds. The #1and #2 are really packing the weight on amd stacking the nodes already. this gives their buds a really solid appearance already and I will be very cautious of allowing moisture to build up with this density . The #3 is a different pheno to the other 2 and her buds are further apart and more spikey looking. She is also trying to hit the clouds still so need to be firmly held down if you want to keep them low. I have been supercropping the tallest of the limbs and trying to keep them upright enough to stay in the light available. She will need support once her buds pack the weight on. They are all starting to smell so sweet too and even now have a nice sticky appeal when touched. I could not recommend this strain enough and love growing it already. The purple is starting to appear in #2 already and should continue as it is not related to temp drops at all that can happen . Shebwill live up to her namesake i think. The other 2 are pure white and solent green looking buds which are a great examples of what they can do. I can only see a great yield from how they are going now and wishbinjad a room full of them .lol. The other 2 crosses are both starting to hit their stretch max now with the Exotic? really looking thick and bushy and showing her sex now. She needs to stretch now to get her mains up into the canopy without the tub underneath. The Mango X Mimosa is in full flowering mode for sure with no signs of any male gonads or hermie behaviour...It is making a huge plant so far and with the massive growth of the father being the main driver I think and she/he put out over 5oz. Fingers crossed for that size with beautiful exotic mango cream buds ..... So there we have it for this update growmies. Hope the video isn't too long this time guys but a lot happening in the room. Until next time. keep it green and be free .

Day 28 flowering" Aloha grow buddies. Hope all have happy plants and greenery. These amazing ladies have coped really well with the heatwaves we are going through here in the uk. None of them have held back with bud production and seen the mutant # Banana has decided to join in now. I did a very careful but needed defoliation of most of the ladies . The airflow now is a lot more useful bit it is still very warm. Bamana mash are all stacking very nicely now and their stems are looking less spindley. There are a lot of really nice length limbs showing their potential now too. The canopy has evened out nicely for these ladies now. Purple Monkey are really storming ahead with girth now and the buds different Phenos are all more obvious. Only the #2 has the Purple showing so far. The middle row has now got a firm race on with the ladies there trying to dominate for the available light. I am stoked with the development in the experimental seeds and can see some nice harvests coming. Well done Exotic seeds. Hopefully sponsor some more autos to follow on ? , maybe ? . lol They are all feeding really well now and on about 5L each per 1 days. No signs of any issues now at all and hopefully the next 4 weeks + will all be about swelling those stacks. Be safe and well growmies .

Day 35 Flowering: The bud fun continues to impress me with these Exotic girls. The heat has been ridiculous this last week and in the 37°c area more than a few times. It shows the brilliant resilience of the genetics. They have not stalled or shown any heat exhaustion during the practice for hell week which has been a relief. I think without the co2 bag , they would have feared a lot worse. The Banana are really filling out nicely now and when I tested the smell with a rub, the hit of ripening bananas hit me hard. They are not as chunky as the purple monkey but there are a lot of mains among the 4 plants so fingers crossed for a good haul. The Purple monkey are doing really well with some excellent examples of buds on them., they should start to really bulk up over the coming week you. I still think they could finish early around day 49 flowering maybe as they are so well developed and are starting to show more orange hairs all over their buds. The smell is amazing too with a really sweet candy and lemon hint with it nice and tacky to touch now too. The 2 crosses are trying their best to catch up with the main ladies and all look healthy and well too thankfully. Playing the waiting game now with the last 4 weeks to swell and ripen . Be safe and well growmies

DAY 42 F: Another roasting week in the grow room. Temps have been hitting 37°c still and keeping them watered has been a battle. The water has been taken up instantly and they had built up a little too much nute in the soil. We have a major yellowing of 2 of the middle row plants ( mango x mimosa fast bud cream cookie) They are still building buds but you can see the effort is taking them without the green for photosynthesis. Hopefully they will be fixable over the coming days. The Banana mash are doing well and even with the heat issues , still bud building. They have shaggy looking buds at present but I am confident they will become more solid soon and swell more. They have a pungent banana hit now and they are so tacky to touch too. The mutant #4 has really spread put at the back of the middle row and is producing some nice looking buds too. Purple Monkey continue to make me drool when I handle them and the buds up close look so edible. With their sweet candy smell and pinky/reds , i cant wai to try these out. They are just pushing their second pistil flush so should swell nicely over the next week or so. The heat has not bothered these at all it seems and keeping them nice and areated to avoid mould being able to form has been this weeks task. All fed and watered for the day now . Until next week grownies. Be safe and well. Keep the vitamin D up and bask in the sunshine of God green planet . peace and blessings

DAY 49 FLOWERING: sorry about the video this week. Very long week and it is hot in the grow room now. My camera is not as good on my phone now so the quality suffers I think. Bare with me on this one. Lol Now the important bit , the plants..... All of the purple monkey look amazing now with their pinks and reds shimmering in the lights. They smell amazing now and all look so ready besides a flush of new pistils all over most of them. #3 is not at that stage and may be harvested any day now I think bitbthebother 2 need another week i feel to hit their best before ripening off. Tine will tell this week. They have been rock solid throughout this heatwave and even with very dry pots issues , have not skipped a beat. Certainly one to grow again. Banana mash are all looking slightly different in how they have dealt with the heat now. A lot of yellowing starting to happen on a couple and the other two have great trich build ups , very different from each other but all the same age ect.. They will need about 2 more weeks i think and expect a 10 week flowering period for them now. They are very sweet smelling now and their shaggy appearance and long spikes are very appealing. The younger crosses are now starting to swell up more too with the exotic? Looking like it will be a good finisher too. It is easy to see the mimosa Lemin genetics in both of them now but no clue in which exotic the ? Is yet.... With all that said , they are feeding g better now the temp has dropped a little and the end is close now growmies. Be safe and healthy

DAY 56 FLOWERING: It is time!!!!! The Purple Monkey are all done and hanging to dry..... They finished perfectly at around day 50-55. They all have a deep purple colour among the reds/pinks and they smell amazingly sweet like a candy . The 1st two hing up are close to jar dry already as the heat here has been so warm and dry. I kept the leaves on and dried with no cuts to the plant at all to try to slow it down a little and not blow all those terpenes . I will do an update on their harvest weight ect as soon as I am able to trim the last one Banana Mash are all looking nice and frosty now with the buds swelling quite steadily. They could go another week at least I think and will benefit from the extra space and airflow created by harvesting the monkeys. ( sounds like a dhali painting!). THey are so tacky to souch now and the sickly banana smell is really pungent too. The #4 is not as developed as the others but has a huge frame to her so hopefully another 2 weeks will see her finished too. Mimosa/mango is a huge beast of an plant now withings everywhere. I got to really see her size during the re jogging of the room . She has had to have some yo-yo's to hold her manyinbs in the light as they are heavy little buds she has produced, hidden among the canopy. Exotic ? Is also starting to build some nice stacked buds but looks about 3 weeks away from her finish. Overall a great week with most happening ( including the birth of my new son last Saturday 7th Aug.what a week!!) Great things coming with the Banana mash hopefully and an interesting guessing game to the other crosses too. Be well and safe

Rhisnstrain has been very easy to grow and work with. I had 2 phenotypes that built their bud structures slightly differently overall but produced very similar amounts too. If left to grow naturally, they could easily reach the top of my roof so I used l.s.t to keep them lower. They responded really well to each way I used and did not miss a beat in the ridiculously high temps during our heatwaves here. Often at 35°c , they never showed signs of deficiencies or stalling their growth either. A very hardy strain in heat for me. They easily filled their 60L pots to the edges during their 4 week veg period but really flew when the stretch period kicked in around day 10 of flowering. Buss formed into long spikes very early on and just spent weeks fattening up. This created a really manageable, stout cola's, robust plant. Excellent work by the breeders @exoticseed...

Wow what a run with a whopping 339g of dried and perfect smoking Banana buds. No idea why it wont let me put dried weight down on the chart ???. They were and easy grow with no real issue along g the way. Nice sizes and certainly no slouched when training.
