Well week 5 of bloom is complete, and this week brought a few challenges. Humidity in my area has been through the roof, close to 100%. My heavy-duty equipment was struggling to bring my tent to acceptable late flowering levels, sometimes reaching over 60% RH, especially at night when the plant was respirating more. Additionally, her pale yellow color, and leathery leaves didn't excite me too much. If you remember, we had a severe heat wave a couple of weeks ago, which contributed to that. But also, since I messed up the ScrOG training, and regrettably decided not to super-crop her, a fair share of the leaf problems were due to light stress as well, as I didn't want to sacrifice lower colas, so I let it go. My biggest mistake this grow, was not paying attention to her the one day she decided to stretch nearly a foot, and was unable to be weaved into the net the next day without being snapped in half. My second biggest mistake is NOT snapping it in half, and letting it repair itself. I wouldn't have had nearly as much bleaching of leaves I think. This week, and I'm assuming because nearly all chlorophyll was depleted from her fan leaves, I didn't notice much of any change from last week. Her buds seemed to be about the same mass, and the stigmas still had the same ratio of red to white coloration. I suspected she was dead, or dying, or just...done. Not all genetics will transform all of their stigmas from white, and not all genetics will have their trichomes turn amber. So, I did a few things to confirm that suspicion. First, I looked at her trichomes on various buds closely with a microscope. They were almost all cloudy, with very very few amber. That told me that she was at an acceptable level of ripeness, even if she could have went longer, assuming she was still alive. Next, I removed the pea gravel mulch I was using in the raised bed, so I could get a closer look at the soil she was growing in, and more specifically, her roots. The soil, although moist a few inches deep, was not at the level I expected, and I think I have not been watering her enough. I don't think I'll be using a gravel mulch again. On the plus side, it did help prevent fungus gnats, as there was zero the whole grow, apart from an early week when I placed some solo cups to germinate on top of the bed, but after removing them, the fungus gnats disappeared with them. Also while inspecting the soil, I carefully dug down to inspect some of her primary roots. They were actually dry, despite the surrounding soil being moist. This could explain why she wasn't drinking much if any for the better part of the week. So, given her dry foliage, dry roots, and ripe-enough trichomes, I decided it was time to harvest her, earlier than expected. Let's also not forget that I was frightened this week with some high humidity scares, so growing longer, and possibly for no reason if she was dead or barely alive, was not in the cards. I've dealt with my fair share of bud rot before, and I would rather try what I have of her now, than to wait the extra week or so for her to be fully ripe. So, that is what I did, on the last day of the week -- I chopped her down, cut off some larger fan leaves, and hung her upside down. This, of course, was after removing the raised bed. It took me a while to empty about 45 gallons of soil so I could move it, but in doing so, I noticed a lot of beneficial critters, and nothing bad. Such critters included small centipedes, which feed on other insects, and soil mites which eat dead organic matter. I set the tent to dry at around 72F and 55 RH. And now we wait for about a week before trimming. One thing is for sure -- I am very proud of this grow, despite all these flaws. She smells incredible -- like pure citrus emanating throughout my house. This is a very strong-smelling plant. These monsters are just piling on the weight majority of buds on the right side are tied up did minor defoliation just watching them stack and keeping an eye on the humidity as its begun to rise .left side front to back am haze 1, exotic thai ,am haze 2 .right side front to back lsd,fruit spirit,blue mystic. Day 85 25-4 the buds are now really starting to take off, i just added Power to Bloom to the nutritional balance and is being gobbled up and exploding out in buds and sites😎 I think i should have allocated a little more room for these Monsters.😎

Topped to 4th node. Started brewing ~5l of neem/kelp/aloe Trying out LST clips for the first time. Added a couple of small LST clips on the 4 largest fan leaves. One of the large lower fan leaves snapped off this morning when I was adjusting the LST clips. It looked like it had already snapped yesterday. Adjusted VPD to lower humidity

I left her alone for the last month. It was waterer a week ago. Just left under the shelter rain sun or shine. They grew beautifully but need to be chopped tonight. Smells nice. Buds are as big as advertised or my skill is showing.

June 5: Cooler temperatures and no rain this week. Wind has been strong and a couple of nights near or at freezing temperatures. The greenhouses worked really well, but now to expose these seedlings to the full elements. Windy day today so expect them to get a bit beat up. Watered in with well water and covered the stem quite high with soil for more support against the wind.

Buds just keep getting bigger and bigger!! I think they need atleast 2 weeks more, so i gave them 1 week more pk booster and i want to try and give GHE ripen for late flowering next week. Going to flush them when i think they are as good as ready to chop, till they yellow and hopefully get purple :) Cya next week!

Swell continues. Day 34 of 52

Last week really started to PACK on the buds. Really taking off. Just measured the buds to see the week growth. They are all right at 1 1/2" ACROSS. Not vertically. So lets see what the week ends up being. Any guesses? Put em in comments. Ok that's it. No more nutes. She got her last feeding today. Tomorrow I turn her to ph water only and 12/12 hours down from 24 hrs light. 10 days to flush then harvest next Saturday. So it looks as if I may be able to combine my 10 days of flush and my 3 days of darkness by just switching from 24/7 light to a 12/12 schedule. She reacted and pushed out more trichomes in only one night. Interesting Ok so end of week 8 (I know it says 7 but its 8. The germination week counts as week one.) Nothing but 12/12 and a flushing. Will take her next week. Thinking to give her the full 7 days and chop her Saturday. Oh btw the buds are 2 1/4" across now. 3/4 of an inch in a week!

I got some new lights this week, so am looking forward to seeing the difference led can do, getting awesome growth from the auto's, and the fem seeds are going well too. All is well in the garden this week other than the Lsd 25 auto seed, which is struggling still, wet feet may be, I will try to dry the pot, before more water is fed. Any ideas?

Shes in the fast lane and got the hammer down now. Look at the growth over 2 days once I hit that sweet spot with the nutrients. Geoff has definitely checked off some boxes with this girl, the vigor and structure are on point, she's definitely oozing some strong skunky terpene early on as well.

Switched spots in tent to see if Purple Kush darkens up a bit. pH at 7 again over night, so I dropped it back down to pH 5.5 Next day Purple and Pink Kush had pH around 6, so I dropped it a little again. Is it normal for pH to change over time? Purple Kush still shows signs of getting darker leaves starting at the tips. I will give another 2 days to see if the lower pH helps. Purple Kush seems to be getting color back through out it's leaves. Not a gradual change, but blotchy dark green moving back in I hope. Pink Kush and Purple Maroc seem to enjoy the addition of a CO2 generator. I expect this time next week to have flowers on the Pink and Purple Kush. See you next week....

Hot damn this is a pretty plant. Enormous fan leaves, tight nodes, and LOTS of em. This plant continues to impress, however, some of her daughters are blowing past her in height, surprisingly. Room is on point, mother is happy and healthy. 55 days or so till harvest:)

I ended up running these plants a total of 60 days. Topped each plant 2-3 times. Once flipped to flower the plant does not stretch much. The final product is dense, sticky, frosty buds with a fruit punch and piney gas aroma. Yield for this pheno is above average, but I highly recommend trying to get a top in every trellis hole to get maximum yield. Overall I pulled a little over 3lbs off of 16 plants. Notes: Room size: I'm not sure what to put as grow room size below... room was 8x8x6.7 Gram per watt: Gram per watt per plant doesn't seem to be the best measure in my opinion as it would encourage you to grow fewer plants with longer veg times to get the same yield. Unless I'm missing something? The actual power draw from the wall for each light is = 355watts per 315 LEC x 4 = 1420 watts in Flower. The yield was 1380 grams which makes the total Gram/Watt ration = 0.9718 ***Sorry for the shitty pics... my phone camera is still shit right now and these are all the pics I could get at the moment.
