Hello! I am back! Welcome to day 76, almost the end of week seven for Poppy the Purple OG Punch. I am not going to be able to compete in the contest as she is not yet ready so my first two competition entries end in total failure. Poppy has suffered multiple snapped colas in the move, and a lack of training, but she is doing okay, buds are fattening nicely. Height 82cm, she was fertigated 10l about 4 days ago, and 7.5l today.

I enjoy growing. Definitely happy with my grow.

This week was fun, had nutrient lockout on the one plant some signs on others. Decided to flush from the top with two plants which is a terrible idea with autopots; the minerals build up in the soil and all I did was wash them down. The plant that was looking the worse had some lower branches die after this so I cut them out. Reached out to autopot and they were a huge help, flushed from the Rez and then brought my nutrients way down. I only just got an ec meter but I was at 3200 ppm when I started the flush and 150 by the time I added nutrients back in. The two plants that I flushed from the top aren’t in great shape but they’re still alive, only 2 more weeks to go so hopefully this didn’t have too much of an impact on quality!

No issues. Been doing quarter strength Cronk. Doing a light top dress this week to bring them home. Already seeing fading on one mbr x gp. Still no tip burn….. Day 39: I think the Pablo’s are going to go longer than 8 weeks. Mr big runtz smell the most. They’re both on the citrus/lemon leaning smell. Went against my better judgment again and didn’t top dress. Instead I’m doing half strength Cronk and alternating that with a molasses feed.

I'm very happy to say that I had 100% germination rate across the board👏 All my ladies started to come up on April 24th, including an extra! In the few years that I've been growing, I've probably started around 50+ seedlings, but having 2 seedlings come out of 1 seed is new for me. I'm curious to know if anyone else has come across this. Regardless, it's pretty cool and I'm happy. My only concern is how viable the 2nd seedling will be. I feel like I need to wait until she's stronger before I try extricating her from her twin, since she's a few days behind in this very sensitive stage. But at the same time I don't want to wait too long because their root systems will only become more intertwined. We'll just have to see. Once these babies began getting upright on April 25 I put them under 3 Litever 24v grow light strips. On April 27th they were hitting the roof of the humidity dome so I took them off the heat mat and put them in a south facing window for the morning and put them under the lights in the afternoon. The next day on 4/28 it was absolutely gorgeous out, 60F clear and sunny so I put them in the south flower bed in front of my house and they drank in the sun. The 29th was overcast and chilly so they stayed in the house under the lights. Same thing today. No nutes this week, as the potting soil still has a little more to give, but they'll be getting some Nitrogen soon. See y'all next week👋

Final 2 weeks

Day 64 Flower (Day 106) Today is the first day of the 10th week of flower and I put on a powerful headlight and some magnifying glasses and closely inspected the right girl during the dark period, so the colors from the grow lights didn't fool me. Unfortunately, I found another couple of buds with bud rot. Soon I'll have to decide to harvest the plant now and cut my losses even though she isn't done, or I'll take my chances and let her go a while longer. I turned up my extraction fan, installed another circulation fan, and ordered a dehumidifier that will arrive tomorrow. I'm hoping that all those measures will bring down the humidity in the tent (unfortunately, I can't do anything about the temps) and prevent further rot. I will let her go another few days and see if any additional rot pops up. Fingers crossed that it won't. The left girl is just doing her thing, but it doesn't look like she will fatten her buds. I guess all that stress in the tiny tent was too much for her. No matter what the result of this grow will be, it certainly has been a great learning experience. Day 65 Flower (Day 107) Things are looking good for the right girl as I haven't found any more bud rot yet. Turning up the extraction fan certainly helped, not only with the humidity but also the temperature dropped. Not by a huge amount, but I'll take whatever improvement I can get. Today the dehumidifier arrived as well, and I put it in the tent right away. The humidity in the tent has now dropped from the high 60s to a much more suitable mid-40s, and I hope this will be enough together with additional air circulation to prevent any further rot. I looked a bit closer at the trichomes today and found that most have gone cloudy, and I finally found some amber ones (about damn time!). I'm aiming for around 20-25% amber in this harvest as I'm hoping for a relatively "heavy" smoke - one of those frying-pan-to-the-head kinds of smokes suitable for late nights. Day 66 Flower (Day 108) Still no signs of more bud rot. Fingers crossed All I did today was to mix up some more nematodes in water and then feed each girl with 3 liters of it at ph 6.4. I'm not sure it was necessary for my main tent as the fungus gnats seem to have died out by themselves. I put in a new yellow sticky trap yesterday, but it was still empty today, and many dead gnats were lying on the tent floor. I have no real idea why, as I don't use any pesticides, but maybe the gnats really don't like this new low humidity in the tent. In any case, I'm just happy that the little buggers are gone. Day 67 Flower (Day 109) The bud rot is still staying away, and I'm getting hopeful that it will stay gone. All I did today was to give the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.4 water. She was a bit thirsty as I had the irrigation turned off for a couple of days due to the nematodes I gave them yesterday. I've now turned on the system in each tent and will just cruise along until harvest. The girls are already way over time, but most trichomes are cloudy, and I've started to see some amber here and there. Although, not much of a fade so far. Day 68 Flower (Day 110) All I did today was snap a couple of pics. It's all just a waiting game at this point, and I hope it won't take that much longer. I'm ready to cut the girls down and have some time off before the next season is here. I plan to grow a couple of photo CBD girls in my main tent and maybe an auto in my smaller tent. We'll see. But yeah, first, the current grow must come to an end. It looks like the left girl is starting to get her fade on, so there's that at least. I didn't bother looking at the trichomes today, but I'll have another look in a day or two. Day 69 Flower (Day 111) I didn't do a single thing with the girls today except snapping a couple of pics. What I did, though, was to make a smoke test of the right girl. Let me explain: Earlier this week, I had to cut off four buds due to bud rot. Out of those four buds, I saved two small tops after trimming off all rot (as well as plenty more just to be safe). I left those tops on the tent floor, where they dried in only a few days, and yesterday I decided to try a smoke. Naturally, I can't say anything about taste as this weed is dried the worst way possible: fast, hot, and in the light. On top of that, it's not cured either. That being said, holy smokes, batman! This stuff kicks like a mule, which is why I didn't post this last night already. I was too stoned to care. Precisely the effect I was hoping for from this harvest: properly stoned and incredibly lazy. Boom! Day 70 Flower (Day 112) Today was the last day of week 10 of flower. Not much exciting is happening this late in flower, so it is primarily a waiting game at this point. I did remove the irrigation system from the left girl and will hand water her instead. That cheap system I had was too erratic, and I'm better off without it. Plus, I hope that she will be done soon-ish. She will never win a beauty contest due to her scraggly foxtail flowers, but I'm still happy to get something from her considering all the stress she went through. The right girl has been doing fine all week, and no other bud rot has been seen since I fixed her environment. I rechecked the trichomes today, and still hardly any amber in either girl. I'll let them go for another week, but then it is time for the chopping block. This grow already went a lot longer than planned initially, and it is time to bring it to a close soon.

The gushers is a perfect indica biased specimen. She is shorter then her room mates but holds a perfect shape. Lovely vertical check not stems forming up 9 really nice mains and a few lowers that I think will push through to give some good bud.. I'm away in America doing the formula 1 so the updates are from photos and messages sent from my wife back home who is looking after the ladies.. No issues really apart from higher RH then we would like but she has gone in and defoliated a bit and things seem to have settled. I'm awa until November 1st as I'm doing the Mexico formula 1 after this.. Updates will be a little light on detail I'm afraid and images will be generic from the room.. Thanks growmies. June 7 - We ordered some new lights last week, they are 240w kingbrite samsung lm310h with uv/ir, 3000k, and meanwell drivers. We setup the new room and moved the girls into there. After a bit of LST and a watering (with nutrients) at roughly 7ph, they were ready to go under the 2 new lights and the same SF-1000 we have been using in this grow. The new room is a 12 ft enclosed trailer. I moved everything from the small tent into this. I put clear poly on the walls, floor and ceiling. I put poly on the shelf I am going to be keeping in there as well. I bought 50ft of 6mm mylar and lined the floors, roof and sides with it. I plan to get some reflective tape to seal everything and to cover the wood. I did not get much of a chance to watch temp's today as they it was later in the evening after all was said and done. The inline fan blowing in air from outside. June 8 - 9 AM i checked the plants, they were at 25.2 and 50% RH. Late through the day I had checked and we had gotten up to around 32 degrees. So I moved the inline fan to the closer vent, hooked up to that, and had the air blowing out of the trailer with the inline fan sucking it from above the lights. I then added oscillating fan and had it blowing air on the left side of the room so it would somewhat circulate once I closed the doors. I then checked at about 9pm and we were at 22 degrees. Definitely noticed a decent amount of growth already. I have the lights on a 22/2 cycle as I was worried about the heat at night time. June 9 - Some great growth from the girls, still having problems controlling the temps in the afternoon. I decided to prop the door open a bit to have a constant breeze throughout the day while I am at work. Decided to do some more LST and also a bit of defoliation. I took about 25% of the leaf's that were blocking the new growth as it was getting a bit bunched up. I was then told the leaf's are almost solar panels for them. So from now on I will be trying to just do some tucking unless needed. The leaf's I removed were most of the damaged leaf's, I am not to sure if that makes much of a difference. I gave them a watering with only water as there is a potential I am getting a bit of a nutrient buildup along with the PH problem. Or potentially the reason for the ph problem is nutrient buildup. After watering with A PH of 7 I got some run off and tested it. The smaller plant gave me a PH of about 5.5 where the bigger one is around 5.0. June 10 - Plants are looking happy and showing tons of growth. Seems to be trying to stretch outwards. Not a ton of sign of PH issues showing so potentially getting it under control. Still a bit of damage to previous leaf's but it is what it is! The last few days I have been leaving the door open a bit in order to keep the temps down. I decided to test something and turn the lights off (automatically) at 11AM and back on at 5PM so light schedule has now changed to 18/6 and it seems I may have figured out the issue. We haven't had lots of sun the last couple days so it hasn't been to hard and I have yet to know if it truly fixed the heat issue for now. (I will be looking into a ac unit as well since it typically gets to around 30-35 around here. June 11 - Pulled some of the branches back down and added a few more LST spots. Seems we have a good amount of growth from the smaller plant out of the 2 topped spots. Unfortunately it looks like I fucked up on the bigger plant and only one of the nodes seems to have new growth. I will continue to monitor that but I think I cut the node to low and also to soon. Other then that, the girls are doing great. They seem to be absolutely loving these new lights. I gave them some nutrient water today as well. roughly 3L each. They seem to be A hell of A lot more thirsty under these new lights. June 12 - The girls are doing great , they are still just doing growing away. Lots of progress everyday. I am going to be getting a go-pro so I can set-up a time-lapse for the rest of this grow. I received my new inline fan, I got A ac infinity CLOUDLINE T4 with the temperature humidity controller. I am going to be having one fan pushing fresh air in and one fan pulling out the hot air. I will be doing that tomorrow since I have to work today. June 13 - I ordered another 50ft of mylar and that showed up today. I have decided to remove the shelf and add another 3+ feet to the grow space. So today I installed more poly, mylar, the ac infinity fan. I have it set-up to pump in air if it gets to warm. I am thinking of switching it to the output that way if it gets to hot or to humid I can have that air pulled out of the trailer. Right now my other inline fan is the outtake and I just have it set on full. Overall I think everything is set-up a bit better and more accessible. I will be putting my 2x2 tent in there at the left of the doors so I can have a veg room when these 2 are in flower. I plan to have 4 in veg and 4 in flower for the next grow. Still waiting on JOTI seeds, ordered 3 weeks ago and still have not been shipped. I will be getting those going the moment they arrive. The girls seem to be happy still, did a bit more LST to try to keep everything even, mainly I'm just pulling down on the spots I already have tie wire on.

Finally received a couple of humidifiers to test from the local shop. These shitty low cost humidifiers will not really do, I can only have them on non stop until the water runs out. If I connect them to a sensor that switches them off, it won't go back on because it doesn't have a mechanical switch, I have to press on each time. Still, let's see if this helps my poor dry leafs a little bit

Plants recovering well …heat is causing some problems in the indica room otherwise all is well …1 more week till flush then 1 more week after that til harvest

Buds really got phat this week. I been following the fox farm recommendations on the feed. Im impressed by the flowering sunlike leds I'm using on this grow it really made the difference. And comparing this plant to a plant i did nothing to I gotta say LSTing is the way to go.
