#seedsman420growoff and #SeedsmanSeeds 📆 Week 9, 22-28 June 2024 22 June - Observed and let the plant grow. 23 June - Defoliated 24-28 June - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 Defoliated all large lower and damaged leaves from plant. Checked TDS PPM on 24 June, the reading originally started at 1290, was now 455, so I decided to change solution earlier than scheduled. Checked TDS PPM on 27 June and the reading was 390. So the nutrient solution was changed again. Larger plants consume much more nutrients and may require a modified feeding schedule. I’ll just observe and see how she does. Some plants are sensitive to this. Again I’m talking about DWC specifically. Her smell has intensified this week, defined by a pineapple scent! It truely does! This lady looks super cute, very short size, not tall at all at the moment, really looks like a plant coming from the cross of COOKIES KUSH X Casey Jones showing beautiful fat indica leafs, really good plant, it's a mister y for me, didn't know the strain and this great Spanish Bank called Gecko 🦎 seeds. They have provided me their awesome strains, so here we are to show them to everybody!! Let's do this my beloved cannabis community!

DAY 56 f: well here we are folks. The final week for these girls to impress and sparkle with the build up of their trichromes. The Six Shooter are the closest to the harvest time and i think i will be taking them out 1st. They have some beautiful purples and dark reds on their leaves and buds and the smell is so damn potent too. Very fuel terped so far but really potent to inhale. Both have different sizes but identical buds to represent the strain really well. I think their bag appeal will be top drawer. The Mexican airline are also close now and smell.so fruity fresh that it hits your throat with a sting. Lol not the biggest ladies for production but some beautiful looking buds on them. The Strawberry pies are another level altogether.... #1 is so fresh and vibrant looking with most of her leaf left on stil. I think she may go another week before her sweet spot is here though. She has a lot of good sized mains around the plant and they look and smell line fresh chopped pineapple so far. #2 has had her main leaf taken out for the past 5 days to encourage as much light around the numerous beautiful buds she has produces. I did supercrop her main to keep her from hitting the light and have noticed how floppy she is becoming from the weight building in the bud tips. I love how she looks now with the edible looking buds everywhere. Some of the best buds I have had the pleasure of seeing in these autos. Roll on harvest time. The soil has performed brilliantly throughout the whole grow this run and with a no-till method being used in the trays , I expect it to get better each new run. The organic/vegan soil also means any edibles are as clean as can be from home growing. The lack of harshness from using nutes is very noticable in my grows now and drying really is just about the moisture removal and natural chemicals so curing is a lot shorter. Instill get the gassy , initial conversion when using jars but it is more about the potency of the hit than the harshness of residual chemicals. While there is a slight loss in yield from soil , the smoke quality certainly makes up for it. So there we have it growmies. I cant beilve how big hybrids and xxl auto grow these are the best results I've ever had i won't be going back to autos again sweet seeds have a really good range of f1 hybrids and autos I haven't had a problem with any of there seeds so easy to grow and loads of fun can't wait to start more

7/7 Grow diaries isnt letting me post a harvest week. So heres a little teaser. 65 grams dry. 2ounces 9. kaprikorns website says this is a low yielding plant. i cannot fathom what their high yeilding plants will do. this cultivar was only 12 inches from the soil line. i trained her fairly intensely but it was worth it. not much larf and the main nugs are nice and uniform. if you didnt train this plant, i can see how it wouldnt really yield much.

This was a really easy strain to grow!!! I had some personal problems while I was doing this diary!!! So didn’t update as much!! But so far this is my best one yet and best strain I have grown and the best harvest and yield I’ve had to this day!!!!

The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. The near infrared (IR-a) borders around 700nm up to 1400nm @ photon par flux density of 1.8 instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. I think of my tent as a lung. What goes in must come out. When the rate of air going out exceeds the amount of air coming in, it creates a negative pressure. Tent concaves (bends in). If set up correctly, the RH will begin to drop slowly to the desired level I set, and the extraction turns off when it reaches the desired RH. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always release more water into the air; therefore, the RH% of the tent overnight will increase, as long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over. This creates a strong pressure differential, which will work wonders with mass flow. Replicating high and low-pressure fronts in nature. Critical for oxygen diffusion at the critical time of peak cellular respiratory function.. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. The plants are now putting all their energy into bud production, and it’s really starting to show!🌱 Both are developing bigger and bigger buds, and the smell is becoming more intense every day. #2 has an insanely large main bud, completely covered in trichomes. The aroma is very hazy, deep, and complex. it’s going to be interesting to see how it develops in the coming weeks. #1, on the other hand, continues to impress with its tropical, sweet, and pineapple-like scent, and its buds are also swelling up beautifully! Everything is going exactly as it should—excited to see how much more they’ll bulk up in the next weeks!💚

Oct 3rd, - start of week 9 in flower; Panama Red, Honduras x Panama get a visit and a feeding tomorrow - (ford) Pink Kush (Bahia black head) get a visit and phood tonight as well. (Bahia Black Head is being Flushed this week, no food) - Alaskan Purple is simply putting on a Huge display after being so quiet all year long. Pictured bottom branch is over 9’ long… 4th - applied the Milk treatment as planned. White Powdery Mildew has been knocked out on this plant; Alaskan Purple. Its also completely stalled Mildew on two other grows. (2-part Milk / 3-part Water. 3.25% fat content is what the Gardener references used for hard vegetables: 7-10 days as req’d 5th - fed Panama Red and Honduras x Panama. (Black Tuna gets Chopped Sunday) 6th *** its a great story, and I’ll keep it short here. - LEGACYMARKETFARM gave me an opportunity earlier this year, and I want to give a shout out to them so people can see the High-Level that they are working-on. Andrew bought some seeds at auction that were created and bred by a Famous and Notorious grower; Charles Scott. aka the original Reeferman. Andrew provided me with a wonderful palette of seeds to work with, as I adopted many of his growing targets and patterns into my own efforts this year. One of the Seeds I could only shake my head at; “TOM FORD Pink Kush x Vanilla Frosting” wtf is this was probably really close to a direct quote. There was Nothing online beyond Pink Kush… and One of the seeds was Germinated. Here we are 6 month’s later, I’m planning a harvest, and looking up tentative flowering times, and Lo and behold, the exact Seed I am growing, is now on-sale from Reefermans former employer: Old School Breeders Association. The exact Strain… Kinda freaks me out that I’m at the head of the Line, but there was lots of useful info on the site, and she stays outside for another week or two now thats for sure… Please help me celebrate this great discovery of info, and give Old School Breeders a Look, they have some amazing Genetics at work there. I’ve reviewed their Black Willie, thats why there is a second one growing outside right now! 2 out of 4 plants are a week maybe less from harvest, which will be day 100. the other 2 plants are a week or more behind. I reckon the delay(as Chunga pointed out)is from the cold temps first month or so. Next year I’ll wait till mid may to plant. But overall I’m very pleased with how they are growing, they be small but looks like I’ll have a successful harvest. 🤘😶‍🌫️🤘

New microscope came in, just in time to start checking trichs on CP. I never realized how hard it is to keep a steady hand for a proper shot, so hopefully I’ll have better focused shots soon... Appears they’re mostly clear, I like that couchlock high so I’m going for mostly amber but maybe partial harvest? I don’t know. Comments, suggestions, opinions, all are welcome here. For now I can wait.

This was the last week for the Cookies Gelato. They've turned purple. Weather is not that great anymore, and I want to avoid more budrot, so I had to chop them down 😛
