Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. the 9th week. it's slowly starting to smell. but it's a really faint odour. the trichomes are starting to turn milky and the pistils are changing colour. i think it will be ready for harvesting in 1 to 2 weeks. it still looks very healthy. i hope the next few weeks will be really sunny again. unfortunately it's very changeable weather at the moment

Buds starting to become more dense and frosty

This week i did LST on the gorilla cookies. The nugs are starting to fatten on a couple. Looking good so far 😎. Also the yellowing went away after a good few days of flush. Now rhey are on half of the recommended does of nutes.

The blackberry moonrocks have really started to root well I can see lots of thick roots at the booth the pot. These to plants are ready for flower they just have ti wait for the rest the tent to catch up. They are starting to develope a smell. This past week, the plants went from being weak little plants that had just been top and now they are on there way to being nice and sturdy. I could flip them to flower now if I wanted. I plan on letting them grow a few more nodes on each branch before I give them the flip. My hopes is I get longer colas if I let it ride out longer in veg cutting off all the lower growth b4 flower. I have had the light on 25% still but today I raised it up to 3o% I like to have them handling 40% nicely before I turn them to flower

Week 9 Day 58 I have started the week, by lowering the Glueberry OG, it was to close to the light. I had some room because i use normally a container under the plants to collect runoff, it is so, i can remove the water easy, so i took it away and placed the plant on the floor. Now i have to collect the runoff everyday by hand. But it is worth the effort because i have so much better light on the canopy yet. Zkittelz is nicely stacking up, big cola i like that. Started again with PK 13/14 Booster Day 62 Actualy it is 2 big cola it seems, behind the big main cola rises an other big one. first i was not so happy with 1 side branch reaching so high, above the main top. But it was stacking up so nice and now it's become sort of a second main cola. Temperatures dropped a little bit, i'm so happy now i have a nice 25 - 27 degree Celsius / 77.0 - 80.6 fahrenheit I am dropping down the feed a little bit at the moment, because run off was a little high EC. i'm only giving PH water with cal/mag at the moment, the cal/mag i am using is not in this list so i cannot add it. for now i'm happy at the end of week 9.

Feeding Molasses, epsom Salt and envi seafeed xtra. Also as foliage spray. Some leftover glozing BB spray. I did a second topping over the 4th new node and tried to defoliate a bit on the bottom. All Plants are doing great, no pest, no signs of nutrient deficits. Still 6 weeks of veg left ❤️

When you get to a certain point in the flowering, the real magic begins, so far beautiful yes but when the flowers form I would stay there speechless admiring them for the whole time enchanted. ---- General conditions in the Growbox - We are talking about our autoflowering @zam.nesia which are all in great shape and are now showing their differences. The F1 Hybrids are flying, they are ahead of everyone else, if you want to realize how much the F1s work look at my photos in the growbox. Look, test and then talk, I never talk before trying. I get an idea based on what people say, especially when I hear the old school know-it-alls a bit hippy talk badly about a new thing I think: "this new thing is worth trying, it must be the bomb", and in fact... ---- Plant - I have sung the praises of this plant and the F1s and not just to throw words to the wind. 25.05. 🌿 Day 25 – Stretching Begins! The plants have noticeably stretched since the last update — a clear sign that they’re moving deeper into the vegetative phase. The vertical growth is picking up pace, but they’re still looking strong and well-balanced. Despite the rapid upward growth, structure remains solid, with thick stems and healthy leaf development. The 19L pots and BioGrow feeding seem to be doing their job — no signs of deficiencies or stress. Light distance and environment are being carefully managed to control the stretch and keep the plants from getting too lanky.
