04/13/25: The plants have now fully adjusted to their new environment, and all five are looking vibrant and happy. Leaf posture is strong, color is rich, and the canopy is filling in nicely. They’re handling the training and topping well, showing no signs of stress, and overall growth has remained consistent. While inspecting them before today’s round of training, I noticed what appear to be early signs of male pre-flowers on PP1 and PP4. It’s still too early to be certain, but it’s looking like I may already be down to three possible females. I’ll be keeping a close eye on them over the next week—things should become much more clear soon. Today I topped all five plants again—this time at the first node of each of the four main branches created from the last topping. This will help build out a broader, more evenly structured canopy. I also used plant ties to gently pull down each of the branches to open up light penetration across the plant. In addition to branch training, I used ties to lightly hold back some of the larger fan leaves on the lower two branches to help expose new growth sites. I’ll leave those fan leaves on for another 3 to 4 days as the new tops develop, then remove them to redirect energy upward and continue opening the structure. They were also watered today with a light nutrient mix, similar to last week’s. The plants still look very nutrient-rich, so there was no need to push the EC any higher just yet. Based on the current rate of uptake, I expect they’ll be ready for another watering in about 3 to 4 days. If anything noteworthy comes up—especially regarding sexing—I’ll update sooner. Otherwise, I’ll be back in a few days to document a light defoliation and any continued developments.

Week 11 This week the plant clearly showed signs of being in the final stage of flowering. Growth has slowed almost completely, and the plant's energy is fully focused on the buds rather than new leaf production And the weeks marks the x so she will get cuttet these days

Thankfully she survived a low pressure system soon to be named hurricane Melissa...a good water soak is what she got…I.E. no watering for the next 3 days….Gave her a trim and adjusted the LST ties.

11/18-11/25 The buds are very dense and covered in trichomes. The sweet berry smell I mentioned a couple weeks ago has mostly gone away. It smells different now. I dried and vaped a sample bud. Very potent. As of now, the trichomes still aren't showing they're ready for harvest. Some clear, mostly cloudy, no amber. Tent temps are averaging around 75-77 in the daytime, which is higher than I'd like. The humidity is good at around 45 average. 11/22: After putting the trichomes under the microscope, I'm making the call. Harvest day will be 11/24. This morning I turned the lights off and am going to give them 48 hrs of darkness prior to harvest to increase terpene production. I've never done that before, and suspect it's a myth. 11/24 will be 69 days of flower.

FastBuds FBT01 aka AK47 29th December 2019 Week 3 of Flowering Begins...................................... Well the first 2 weeks of flowering was all about the stretch and at 69cm high she is a bit stretchy . Only tester number 13 is taller at 73cm. I fed her a third of a cup of Mr B's Green Trees Bloom mix aswell as a qtr tspoon of Great white Mycorhizae. We have a fairly cool week forecast compared to the rest of the state but I'm sure it will be sunny enough for this girl to thrive 💪 I hope you all have a great New Years and I'll be back next week for another update on the AK47.

This is the plant left to grow without the use of techniques to see the other go to the previous week. The trichomes said cut me: it is a sativa predominance of leather we want to preserve the energizing effect. So guys not too much amber on the sativas I recommend otherwise you transform them into indicas. I see enough at least for my tastes and with respect to the strain, always evaluate not only based on your tastes based on the strain. Don't let the amber rule influence you too much we like to talk about harvest window and therefore we have mostly milky / coudy, some transparent and a good amount of amber as well. Technique used // This plant was left to grow free and beautiful with some cleaning at the bottom and some leaves but at the right time. Better with techniques or normal? This time we have two phenotypes similar in appearance and different in terpene profile, the plant left to grow straight seems to be a little better but they are really very similar. Flower quality // From one to 10 stars 9. The plant has resined very well on all sides, it is quite mature, I am satisfied with the color and I harvest it. Lots of growth this week, and still nursing the potassium deficiency which looks grim, but she actually seems to be doing okay. Lots of white hairs literally everywhere. A lot more than the Northern Lights growing next to her.. only 3 days apart too. It’s been interesting to see how differently they have progressed. Sb is way taller, her main stem has been tucked 4 squares and she’s still standing tall. We should be coming to the end of her growth spurt soon, but we shall see where she ends up. I’ve kept on the same feeding schedule, upping bloom slightly. Hopefully she continues to do well, it’s been a learning curve every week of growing these autos.. the most important lesson is that they continue no matter what, no time to fix anything unlike photoperiods.. and I kinda like the challenge of that. Both plants have been fed the same, one has shown a deficiency one hasn’t at all. (yet🙈) entering week 7 with hopes of no more deficiencies, and the production on bud.. the smell has started to show, and it’s clearly coming from s/b. Very sweet, if you’ve ever been strawberry picking it smells like when you get to the strawberry fields, mixed with gank cannabis.
