Week #12 Baby Boom By Kannabia Week#12 Jan. 13th-20th This week Plant was flushed RO water she smells yummy of sweet berries and looks great. She has nice trichome coverage and overall she a great plant to grow. Grows quickly seed to harvest in 86 days.

The Plants recovered from topping last week and are now more or less on one level. I increased the light strength every day. Now at 40%.

This cycle was all along a great pleasure. The plants developed MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED, the result under the Q6W-Gen. 2 LED lamps from SANlight is FANTASTIC. I have NEVER harvested more from plants of the same strain under HPS and the quality of the bud (trichomes, taste aroma) is MUCH BETTER when grown under LED, my decision is definitely made, I will continue to solemnly grow with LED-lights in the future. I harvested 2250 gram of Shiva Skunk and 3009 gram of Serious Kush, that a total amount of 5259 gram. In relation to the 3000 Watts (incl. dimmed part!) power of the LED-lights thats an AMAZING 1,753 gram per Watt.

📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. Second week of flush and the girls are looking ready. I’m always learning though and will definitely have to be more savage with my lollipoping in the future as I’ve got a fair bit of larf on lower branches. Almost harvest time 😍😍

Hey all! 👋 Remember last week when I said Falco was getting some chlorosis? Well, the first photos show how bad it is (or was) but the plant is "old", she was quite special as a young plant and her main leaves are doing well so I suppose what is happening is just something normal or maybe some other weird factor... might be affecting her, but more probably I'm just way too worried. In my confusion I added 2ml of Green Grow (which is the growing fertilizer I previously used) thinking that she needed the extra nitrogen but in the end it seems it was unnecessary (as it's a normal process of the plant), I just removed the old leaves and left her to be. 😝 Besides what I previously said I saw a lot of bud progress this week (and I tried to picture all that! 😋). There are plenty photos of the same flower (most of the times!) showing how trichomes were constantly appearing during this week. Next week I'll be adding some extra Potassium and Phosphorus and I hope those products will help my babies to get bigger buds! I also made a video at the end of the week to show how my plants look at a normal speed plus two time-lapses. There are also some photos I took with my DSLR and an inverse ring just to see how the plant would look... and I think they look amazing! 😍 Anyway, I hope you all like the photos and thanks for reading! 👋

Huston I think we have an issue.. So the temp in the tent has been getting up to 90% for 4 consecutive days as well as the humidity has risen to 77. I know that it is from my room conditions now that I am running 3 lights in the room and it is causing the overall room temperature to rise. I have ordered a portable AC unit for my grow room and it will be here next Thursday so I can only hold on. Heavy defoliation commenced to try and bring the humidity and temp down as best that I can. The Maui Wowi hermied on me under the heat stress.. but it is too big to let it go so I am plucking Balls daily from anything I see. Also I had to chop the Blue cheese down it was dying from lack of light because you guessed it the Maui Wowi has stolen the show and light.

So these girls are shorter than expected allthough the 2 girls are of decent height enough for me too flip along side my aptus fed girls. I have defoliate all areas that covers light getting too the lowers and also removed excess branching too focus energy towards the main tops also did this via a little lst 🌱 One of each plus an extra 412 so hopefully they stick through and make it too harvest which they look too be healthy so far. I will next defoliate on week 3 of flower and also remove excess plant matter taking up neccasary energy 🌱 Shogun is serving them well so fa!
