i have used no nutrients yet. just regulator and camg boost sometimes. i let the soil do its thing and it's better.

Hope to get some feedback about nutrition : After 1 plant developed a small brown tip, I started feeding. A total of 116.6 liters of water goes into my system. The feeding schedule says that you should give 4 ml of root juice per liter of water. So: 116.6 x 4 = 466 in total for week 1. So, 466/7 = 66.5 ml per day. Despite this, the differences in root growth per container seem very different. 1 bin was so far behind that I changed them. However, after 1 day a brown mass developed in the roots. The others are still nice and white. Is this already the bereft root rot? I've made some pictures and a video. The first plant in the video was first in the container of the third plant in the video. EC value = 0.6 PH = 6.6 Update 3-5 : After adding more air, problem solved. Need to keep an eye on plant #3. I've put sticks on top of the startblock. 1 stick is plant #1 etc. Plant 3 is behind the rest. Root development also differs from the rest. Instead of a long (about 50 cm) long carrot, they are a few short (10/15 cm). The plant is also significantly smaller than the rest. Can't do much now so, let's hope and see she can catch up.

Warming up nicely, 22c days, 10c nights, finally some more rapid growth. Final top of all 16 leading nodes this week, of which I've left the first nodes (removed second, topped third) after the last top as secondary branches. This should give a total of 64 primary nodes. You'll notice the right side gets a little less sun, and there's a few pesky nodes that just refuse to grow, Ohh well, there's enough as is, but the symmetry won't be perfect haha. Will measure and order a proper scrog net this week, generally won't put it on until shortly after final flower stretch. I'll be using bud clips for simple LST to try and keep an even canopy. I've been bending some nodes towards the middle to help it fill in. Nothing but drip irrigation 2hrs and a spray of Lost Coast Plant Therapy this week.

In the end, it's still a nice phenotype, but not at all frosty. Very dense buds with a slightly lemony scent.

Die Pflanze hat innerhalb der letzten 3 Wochen einen starken Stretch von knappen 23 cm hingelegt. Das bedeutet, das die Diesel Sativa Gene jetzt voll durchgeschlagen haben. Nach dieser Woche kommt der Stretch jedoch zur Ruhe und Mann sieht der Pflanze an, das sie sich jetzt auf die Blütenbildung konzentriert. Die Trichome fangen an zu sprießen und ein säuerlicher Geruch sticht langsam hervor, so wie es gewünscht ist. Auch die Blattform wird an den oberen Trieben immer schlanker. Die Blütentriebe bilden sich immer stärker aus und die Stigmen fangen richtig an zu sprießen. Bei diesem Genotypen, ist das Wuchsverhalten weitgehend ähnlich, nur die Hauptwuchsphase war mit etwas kürzeren Internioden abständen geprägt. Der Stängelabrieb duftet schon stark nach säuerlichen, dieselartigen Nuancen, mit einen etwas GMO typischen Aroma. And then your branding/research helps give me confidence in knowing that I am working with great genetics before I even start my grow. ---------------------------- Germination Start 2/13/24 to 2/18/24 2/19 to 2/25 Veg Days 1 to 7 Week 0 to 1 Germination took 6 days from dropping in water to transplanting into 1 gallon pots. 29hours in a glass of 6.3ph room temp RO water. Something I would only attempt if they were both floating. They were,so leaving them that long they were able to crack open. I then placed both in paper towels wet with the glass water and pasted to the sides of the glass for 3 days (1 day too long in retrospect). I placed in rapid rooter pods and closed with toothpick tips. They popped out from the pods 1 day later but I gave them 2 days before transplant. Video: Incubator water level is key for rapid rooter pods to wick properly during incubation. Transplant to 1 gal pots: I am using a 50/50, 50%perlite/50%soil with a .5lb of dolomite lime and a .5ml of flora micro added to .5 gallon of RO water (Im mixing 2 gallons of soil total so the water to soil ratio is 1/4 of the total medium volume) to achieve a soil tested ph of 6.4. I am using a 50/50 soil/perlite mix because I plan to use these in auto pots. I also used about 1 cup of the same soil mix water to pour around the plant after transplant; you can see how the perlite rises to the top where I did this. I sprayed two domes and covered - I plan to leave covered for the first week. Feed: I kept them under the domes and sprayed every day that I didnt feed them, to keep humidity up while I let them find water in the soil. By the end of the week I took the domes off and took pictures. Feed this week was another 1 cup of 6.3ph water 5 days after transplant. Feed plan next week will increase the amount to 2 cups of plain-no-nute water with about 4 days between feeds. I want to see the water run through so if I need to use more than 2 cups I will. The idea is to water deep and through, but then make them search for more before the next feed, hopefully spreading the roots out while doing it. Veg Plan: I plan on 8 colas for each plant. So that will be 3 topping days and a total of 7 cuts. I will want to cut the first time on day 21 if I have 5+ nodes. I will transfer to 5 gallon auto pots with-in 1 week of the first topping. Once I have 3 nodes of new growth past the first topping, I will top those two branches to the first node again. (that's 3 cuts total by this point) Then, after 3 new nodes of growth after that, I will do a last topping on the 4 branches. (4 new cuts added to make a total of 7 cuts and 8 colas) I will train the branches using LST/HST with tie downs as soon as I can after the first topping day to help maintain the branches growing where I want them to. I will also introduce an adjustable tomato ring after they have settled into the 5 gallon forever pots to provide support and mobility Hopefully all goes well, and I will have 1 to 2 weeks of growth before flip after week 8. I think it sounds more ambitious than it really is, but if you follow this journal, we will see together.

Good Start!

Start of Week 7! Day 44 - 12/12 Big difference in the two Cali Snow plants! The centre "Plant 1" is well along in the flowering process with obvious bud sites forming along the small amount of LST I've been able to get going. Got a bit more stretch out of it but it looks like she's settling down but the sativa flowering of this strain is noticeably behind the indica LSD-25 planted same day in my other diary. The other girl "Plant 2" that is far left and was cooked under the dome early in the grow seems to still be in a pre-flower phase and I'm actually getting a lot of decent stretch/growth in the secondary sites. I'll keep an eye on it for the next week to see if I have to set it off myself with a 12/12 cycle but there are a few pistils here and there. Hopefully it's just a little set back in its timing because it's going to turn out to be the biggest of all 3 plants I have going now. Will have the best veg base for flowering for sure. Hopefully I won't have to set it to 12/12 and rob the other two plants I have further along in flower of a few hours of light a day. Gave another feed with upped nutes but still playing it on the low side. Going up a little each feeding and no signs of burn on any of the girls yet. Making sure I'm chasing feeds with plain water and spraying the top layer with plain water here and there to keep any build up at bay; Since the girls aren't big enough for full pot runoff feeds due to small size. Day 48 - 12/16 You can see how different the timing on the two Cali Snow are. I'm loving the extra time with Plant 2 to set up bigger secondary branches and the pistils still seem to be SLOWLY forming near the top and mature sites. In an attempt to avoid switching her to 12/12 to fully trigger the flower, I've let the temperature drop down a bit to the high teens with the light on by lettering in the winter air and keeping the tent open with lights on. Hopefully the lower temp here and there over the next couple days will get it moving. Plant 1 is well along in it's flower. The bud sites are well defined and the stretch seems to be wrapping up bringing it in just a bit bigger than my small LSD-25 in my other diary going right now. Pulled it out and reset some new LST on the plant with a less drastic lean. Clipped a few fan leaves and 3 fingers from the two Cali's, anything blocking light or bunching up too much but tried to leave as much as possible for energy production. The classic Cali Snow smell I was warned about is starting to come in. Even P2 with little to no flowers is throwing off a nice scent. Still tent contained without exhaust for now so no worries on that front. Day 50 - 12/18 Gave them their biggest feeding today in both nutes and volume. Both split a mix of 1ml each PH Perfect MGB with 1tsp Molasses in a gallon of water with a half gallon plain water chase. First time the plants have been big/thirsty enough for a run-off feeding. Will spray top layer in a day to clean top layer of any residue then top with D-Earth sprinkle to let sit until next feed. These girls have gone from identical to fraternal twins. P2 on the left is looking more like the plant I wanted in terms of size and spread. The set back in flowering time has really allowed me to train it up and get lower branches up to a pseudo-canopy. It looks like it's FINALLY about to make the final switch as the still bright pre-flower tops are starting to shoot more pistils and new leaf growth has that telltale upward point as the spread comes to an end. P1 is full flower swing is chugging along nicely as I opened her up main stem up with some selective defoliation and the thin sativa bud structure is slowly but surely coming in. As a new grower, seeing the fatten/faster Indica flower of my LSD-25 right next to the Sativa on the same schedule is a great observational experience. 👽 The smell of the two Cali Snows are finally starting to ripen up. Ztrawberriez auto in perlite is doing good. I been keeping her well flushed and wet the best I can.
