The veg cycle was shorter than i usually like to have a plant go through, due to time restrictions for the Bubba Cheesecake Diary grow-off, but it still did fantastic in my mind! Three months in veg under high-octane light and 11 1/2 weeks in flower have let this plant turn into a dreadlocked group of nugs. Three main colas, but lots of burnable flower to enjoy once the dry is finished. I did a light LST with a decent amount of defoliation throughout the plant's life. I like to open up the middle area of the plant and let as much light as possible hit as many branch and potential flower nodes as possible. This way, i don't need to lollipop as many branches and as much foliage as i would if i didn't do this. Plus, the candelabra look is b-e-a-Utiful, in my opinion. Light intensity through veg ranged from 40% as a fresh seedling to around 55% the week before i put it into the bloom room. Once it was in the bloom room, the intensity was set at 50% for the first couple weeks to allow for a decent stretch. After that, i think i recorded the light intensity in my diary notes for each week. But, just in case i didn't, I bumped up the intensity by a few percent every 3 days until i hit 100%. Once i got to MAXIMUM POWER, i left it there until harvest. Water was natural well water that tests out at 7 pH. I always added BuildABloom to the water, never the soil, when i used it. Same with Dr. Earth's 1-2-1 tea concentrate. Other than those instances, it was just straight water that i was giving to the plant. Grow rooms are both about 4'x8'. This is the end of this journey with my first grow and it turned out pretty good for an newbie grower like me, i let the plant cure properly also to get the maximum out of the terps 😋 i'm really happy with the grow and will continue to grow more and more 😈

Week 5 of veg. Swapped the plates for an alfalfa cover crop and put up a trellis. The London pound Cake and Purple Shah are moving right along. The blueberry muffins are looking good at day 14. Probiotic growing practices take a lot of stress out of growing. No need for ph up or down. The soil balances itself so you get to see a more natural expression of the plant than you’d get with synthetics. You will see plant health change as the soil increases its biodiversity. When the soil is populated with lab bacteria you can completely saturate the roots in still water without root rot or drooping it is almost impossible to over water unless your soil isn’t populated enough with the lactobacillus. Very easy fast pace growing.

Week 8 (May 24th - 30th) This week the roots began getting larger. This was also the week I began to really use eggshells and coffee grounds. I saw more bugs come out of the dirt (sometimes just happens) and I noticed the wood I burn as well as grounds, the more I use the better and stronger. I also know that coffee grounds and eggshells contain certain nutrients that are necessary in plant health and growth / life. The roots were starting to come out of the bottom of the pot-hole. I started looking for larger containers.

🌿 Woche 8 - Zweite Erntewoche ️🌿 🌱 Wachstum🌱 Lady 2 wurde Ende Woche 9 also nach knapp 10 Wochen auch geerntet. Bei ihr kam erwarungsgemäß mehr rum bei rum. 47g bei Pflanze Nr. 2 Heißt All in All 83g. Die Mängel sind kaum noch zu übersehen. Ich bin überzeugt das die Pflanze zum Schluss ihr volles Potenzial nicht ausschöpfen konnte. Trotzdem haben es viele gute Buds geschafft und der Rest sieht auch rauchbar aus 😋 🌱 Living Soil🌱 Ich bin mit der Erde so semi zufrieden. Aber wenn man die Umstände bedenkt, und das eigentlich zu kleine Beet, für gleich 2 Pflanzen. Kann ich mich doch noch glücklich schätzen. Nächstes Mal vllt nur eine Pflanze 😜 Vllt hab ich auch hier und da was falsch gemacht. Der Blumat hat mich mitten im Run auch im Stich gelassen. Vllt war es hin und wieder doch etwas zu Trocken. Grade in der 2. Hälfte des Runs. This plant seems to have grown much denser and better than my first plant. I just got the ac infinity ventilation setup with controller 69 for my 2x2, still trying to learn, hopefully grow #3 goes even better. Stay tuned

Day 38-45 (Day 39) Almost overnight, nearly a third of the white pistils turned red. Not sure if this is something do with environment but it wouldn’t surprise me if it had something to do with the feeding I gave it yesterday. Who knows (Day 42) I was going to give a fat defoliation today but I’m second guessing myself. I might take a few of the leaves that are sitting on top of each other but that’s it. After that, I’m on cruise control until the end. I’m watering in a gallon every other day and 1 day off when they look a little overwatered. All plants look happy and herm free. Bud size is still lacking overall. In my experience, buds don’t really swell that much after day 45ish so this is pretty much it. Can’t say I’m too happy but I’m certain the quality will be on point. (Day 43) I’m seeing a little more fade each day now. It’s almost pinkish right now. (Day 45) I’ve been taking a few leaves per plant every couple days or so. Once I can see that almost every budsite has adequate light I will stop. Just for good measure, I’m going to give a final feeding of seaweed extract. We still have 2 weeks of fattening up to do and they could definitely use a K surplus. And since this is a water soluble nute nothing is lingering and breaking down for more than a few days. Earlier in the season I had a seedsman white widow and a local m39 plant I was going to flower if I got less than 4 female BBB’s. I was lucky enough to get 5 so I gave the insurance 2 plants to a family member. M39 is now done after 60 days of flowering. And the white widow, which was really stunted is going another 10 days at least. Both plants were flowered in a closet under 2 cheap amazon blurples totaling about 200w. They were in 1.7 gallon pots with amended soil nearly their whole lives. They were only top dressed once around day 30 of flower. M39 must be a low feeder because it really didn’t get any deficiencies after it left my hands. It was consistently the most vigorous plant in the tent during veg too. From what I understand, it has the classic fruity m39 smell and because it’s not grown with paclobutrazol it’s not freakishly dense. Awesome. I will post some more pics and report on the smoke once it’s dried.

It's amazing how quickly the weather can change. Just a few weeks ago we were bundled up in our warmest coats, and now it's finally starting to feel like springtime. With temps in the 40s and 50s, it's the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. My pound cake plant is finally getting somewhere. It's totally weird, because the stems turned this super cool purple color. Soon it's going to be covered in pound cake buds that'll be ready to eat. I'm thinking fancy frosting might be the way to go, but I'm also considering something fruity on top.

Fractal week 18 & 19. 7/28 - 8/4-10 I am late for my outside ladies diaries updates. Life has been getting the best of me lately. I’ve been packing my daughter’s room and moving her things to her new home. For those that have followed my since my beginning here, Cancer left me with neuropathy and arthritis in my hands. I can no longer do my glass fusing or flame work. To close this chapter of my life, I’ve been inventorying glass, tools, equipment, molds and supplies to sell. The most stressful has been appealing Medicare claims and receiving the second denials on the same claims. They are the last payer of record so good luck getting any reimbursement you are entitled to. My apologies to all of you for being so brief on your diaries and not providing many comments. Photos are from 7/28- 8/9 for both weeks. For my outside ladies, Opium, Auto Opium, Fractal, and Lemon Cake not much changed. They continue to live in sweltering conditions. Temps are in the upper 80-90s with humidity over 105. In addition to the heat, Hurricane Debby started up the coast but was downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it got to us. Expecting our normal thunderstorms, I waited til morning to bring the ladies inside. Overnight, we had wind gusts of 25mph. Yeah, then I brought all gals into the house. The photo gals are strong and with thick stalks were able to withstand the winds. Both Opium’s got blown over Auto Opium is thin and spindly and before I could save her from the winds and rain, she got whipped side to side. The top 2 feet bent hard one way and the top 6 inches bent the other direction. The pics show my attempt to bandage the damage 😟 to her top cola with chopsticks and electrical tape. I top dressed all ladies with Bloom Soil for organic fertilizer. Buds are fattening up, trichomes are minimal at this time but some fragrance is starting to be noticed. Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend. This week went great for the 5 mainlines. I got the final toppings completed for all the ladies, I got them done on the Sundae Driver and Red Hot Cookies on day 38, and the Durban Nights, Green Crack, and the Bubble Runtz topped on day 40 for the final time. At this point there is not much more training left to do, just some minor LST to try and keep all 8 tops per plant level, and some minor defoliation along the way. I am planning to Veg them for 1-2 weeks and flip to flower probably sometime in week 8 depending on how fast they grow. I do have them all on milk crates which are 10" each so I will place them on the floor and adjust the light power probably about the time I flip to flower to accommodate the stretch. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very pleased with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. The heat and humidity are finally letting up in my region so it is nice to be able to open some windows and drop the temp outside the grow tent.
