It is day 30 and we are finally seeing some growth starting after a few days of being locked out due to what I believe is from nutrient burn. Won’t go as heavy next top dress. I have ordered a soil ph pen which will be arriving tomorrow so that I can’t test my soil ph and the run off. Until then I have ph'd the water to 6.0 to hopefully stimulate more growth before flower. These plants are very short but stacked! I can’t wait to see how big they are at pre flower. After it’s 3rd week stretch. Reach for the skies bitches! Watering less aswell. I believe iam overwatering because I go days without seeing these girls. Exhale c02 bag doing well. Resembles mould at the moment. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who’s visited my diary. and on it goes. i don't have much to report. due to some very hot days she got alg-a-mic and acti-vera from BIOBIZZ for a better nutrient uptake. she has grown another few centimetres, looks healthy and strong. i had applied LST to her again to get the side shoots more into the sun.

not much happened this week. there was a lot of sunshine. a few stormy days and some rain. she is still doing well and is growing steadily and the flowers are starting to show more. she is now also getting biobizz bio-bloom

Hi all. I finally decided to plant a little defoliation this week... a lot of buds are hidden under leaves that are difficult to develop. I think before the end of flowering they will receive enough light to become stronger and covered with trichomes.

hi all. Here we are finally here with some of the ladies out and hanging to dry. It had been a fun week with trimming and hanging the Girl Scout cookie ladies. They finished so perfectly with a beautiful colour and terpenes oozing off them. Everytime I go up to the room , their sweet smell hits me before I get to see the other ladies. With about 6 days for #2 and 4 for #1 , I expect a few more days before they are even close to jar ready for a cure. Thankfully as they are organic and not needing to deal with leftover sodium based nutes, the terpenes should remain fairly intact with the very low 8°c and plenty of airflow keeping them rotating slowly. Rh is around 50% but not a mould risk thanks to the draughty eaves. The remaining Amnesia Haze ladies are like wound springs now. They are still 2 weeks from their supposed harvest time but look ready now. If I didn't know that there is a second flush about to pop them wide open and swell them even more , it would be easy to pull them before their true ending . Still very smokable at this stage now but i am confident that they will have a second flush of fresh pistils any day now. There are signs of it starting on a couple of the mains so i will be using the Dragon force to support this for about 7 days , which is designed to boost them at their finishing stages. I rate this product and use it every grow. Well worth a look. The natural fading and the temperature drops at lights off are creating some amazing colours throughout the canopy now too. Thankfully experience allows me to enjoy this kaleidoscope of autumnal colours and not panic that I have a major deficiency going down. There are some nicely cannabalising leaves in the canopy too which is also a good sign that they are performing just as nature intended and gorging on the stored goodness from the big fans left on. They are a multi purpose leaf for the whole process from veg to finish , they change their role as the grow progresses and as soon as she notices that they are taking more to keep alive and become a sink instead of a gain , she will cannabalising the stores built up and shed the leaf herself. This is why I get stuck with the whole defoliation debate. Perfect strain for begginer growers and not only. Very easy to grow. Plant is very resistant to any stressful conditions . (Heat, cold, I was overfeeding but she was taking it more and more without any problems) She was growing very fast in vegetation, But took 12 weeks of flowering period. (Maybe that was my faulth cause it’s only my second grow and i missed something) Buds are very dense with sweet berry aroma. I could not wait untill the end of drying period and had a taste of just a little bud. That shit is very strong even for experienced smokers. Huge to breeders 11/10. If you have not tryed to gro Green Gelato yet i wouls advise it to everybody. She will not dissapoint you. 💥👌🏽👌🏽

Propa first week of flower finish. I change light shedule and now girls have propa night not like before there was a bit of light leaking when they supposed to sleep. This learn me if they sleeping it has to be 100 % of darkness. We learn all our life 🤙

Got some Nute burn my fault, caught it to late thought it was something else but do beleieve it was Nute burn. The high ppfd didn’t help either. They all bolted and are now flowering beautifully.

What a joy this grow has been. She was a real beauty. Absolute joy to grow...strong branches but she likes to stretch a lot. I knew wat to expect. I have grown Lemon Kush outdoors 3 times. The scrog this year was the perfect solution. I will not grow her again outdoors. This was my first time to see her finish. Seeing her flower this year, she just needs the warmth in the end. The climate here rarely offers that. I must say the dense flowers are amazing also size and yield is incredible. Update about that later. Trichomes were underdeveloped. I had to harvest early because of mould. The last 3 weeks of flower the temperatures were very low 10-15 C daytime and very very wet. I believe this stunted the plants. They made a full stop in development and exploded again in the last week. 3 days of sun did more than the 2 weeks before. Weather forecast were bad so big buds were harvested 25 september. We eventually had more sun than expected and bottom half was left until 2 october. That week made sooo much difference!! Those bottom buds finally developed some nice trichomes and turned purple. Of course I wish the big buds could have enjoyed the sunshine during that last week as well. Most of you will know, being an outdoor grower...Every year is about compromises. This year was so hot during growth and cold and wet in bloom that mould was unstoppable. After all I am very pleased with this grow and cant wait to taste some of this. Probably needs al long cure though to bring back that lemon scent. Almost seems like all that the rain washed the scent right off her😪 Keep growing y'all!

The 4 gelatos are just about week 3-4 of flowering. Looks like they will all mature within 10 days of each other. This gives me some time during harvest - as doing all 4 big plants at once is a lot. So far no nutrient burn at all as I punch it at 600ppm koolbloom and 450 ppm Jacks RO with RO water at 5.8ph. 1050 ppm. So far this mix has been very ph stable. I used power SI in my coco. I like silica in my substrate in lieu of in my reservoir. Hence no more ph drift. Very impressed. They’re drinking a solid 2 gallons a day. That’s a lot of RO water (8 gallons a day). It looks like the stretch is slowing, the branches are hardening in anticipation of the weight of the buds. I’ve defoliated almost every day. Next I have to move the plants and net them to prevent the moths / caterpillar during the fattening stage. My biggest problem has been the plants toppling over from the wind. One has hit the deck 10 times. But they just keep chugging along. Best of luck on your grow.

Chopped her two days into week 14. What else. Buds. There are a lot of them. And they are quite large. And they look like they will require little effort to trim. What more can I wish for? I am a very happy man. Upd 1: Trimming is SO SIMPLE! Not much sticking out to begin with, because of the amazing bud structure and me plucking most bud node fans. Solid nugs which are not bothered by anything, so pulling smaller sub-bud fans is very simple too, while the buds are what I would call moist. I'll call this Moist Trim 😄 ✂️✂️✂️ Went for the best trimming tools available on the market (well at least my research concluded so) and LOVING every minute of trimming with the B-500SRF. Why would I or anyone else use something less suitable or less comfortable for such a delicate and long job is beyond me, except if you cannot afford one right now, in which case I wish you to experience it one day. Fiskars are also very good in therms of the blades, coating and cutting ability and precision, but the spring is just too stiff, like way, way to stiff for something that is to be used for hours on end. One might argue that such spring force helps overcome resin buildup, but please just rinse your instrument regularly in an appropriate solvent (ethy, iso, whatever — consider you instrument materials as well) and wipe it after. Why would you let significant amounts of resin to accumulate on such a gentle and precise tool? Kinda defeats the purpose?

Another week down. The timer is fully switched back to 12/12. It took a week to get there but the ladies don’t seem to mind. The gruntz is still queen of the show, or the biggest. She seems to want to take over the whole tent. Amazing how big she is getting. The Bruce is a close second. Only a few inches shorter. The widows are there and are nice but they aren’t reaching for the stars like the gruntz. They are all beautiful, what can we say, we love all our ladies. There isn’t any smell off them yet, you can get a whiff rubbing the stalk, but not strong yet. We did a defoliation this week, but I don’t think it shows. We also took a few more clones off the bottom branches. The first try of the gruntz didn’t do so well. Try ,try again. Otherwise it’s been a good week.
