They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! Should I have to buy Gelato of this quality at the dispensary that I frequent, it would cost me at least € 15,-- per gram. 246 x 15 = 3690 euros. also, 49 car rides of 25 miles there and back, 250 euros in gas saved. Everything about this grow was amazing! She was a late shooter meaning she was quite small up to the flower stage then after defol she went crazy and sprouted so many sites and buds were huge, frosty and dense! Best of all was the smells during! Like candyland had landed in my nostrils! Honestly no regrets with this one! I have the buds curing in a 3L jar with 62% Boveda packs! Shall add a smoke and ash report once the buds have fully cured! I’ve added a few photos since cute! This bud is fantastic tastes and smells like fruits and yummyness literally all the way through and it’s so strong! Has pineapple cube kinda flavour too! Loved growing her!

This week I've been focusing on continuing to bend each secondary branch into its final position. I am doing this slowly by making small daily changes, pulling each of the secondary branches away from its adjacent partner. As the tertiary branches grow out, I'll be guiding them out around the net basket. I am in awe of the strength of this plant! 💪 Day 41 - Shaping the Canopy! Our 8 branches have grown out a bit, and it's time for us to take the next step in the mainline! Today we're bringing back the handcuffs 🔗 for a little more bondage action. 😉 Using the same technique as before, I am attaching all the new branches to its adjacent fan leaf in an attempt to gently begin guiding our canopy closer to its final shape. I'll stop back in after a day or 2 to re-anchor all the branches once more, making sure that they're nice and spread out and level with one another. Thanks for following along, growmies! 420 Fastbuds Week 3 Gorilla Punch Auto What up grow fam. This week has been exciting seeing one of them really start to stretch and the other is staying super short stacked really tight. Both appear to be healthy I might add a little cal-mag to the next feeding if starts to worsen. Other then that will keep up the same routine. Happy Growing

Blue Dream Auto grew okay. She didn't get as big as I expected, but I was not able to keep grow temp up due to the winter. She is loaded in trichromes and has a berry, woody, citrus aroma. I am gonna cut her today and get back with a smoke report soon. it is healthy and the buds grow vigorously. so far it has withstood wind and weather. it grows in a 1 litre pot. it is more of a minigrow. but it performs very well for the conditions.

Combined the cop of water and paper towel method then planted the sprouts in root root cubes

Nothing to exciting this week, plants are doing well. Little bit of stretching going on and starting to smell more and more now. The newer growth is a bit lighter in shades of green then the old stuff. I think this is from me dividing the flowering nutrients into 4 weeks vs all at once as they tend to get a bit of N tox when I give it all at once so this seems to be doing better. Clones are same old, just waiting for the weather to get nice. Found out that when I use Insect Frass as a fertilizer it's also adding in chitin "a protein found in bugs, crustaceans and fungi" to the soil, when that stuff breaks down it makes chitosan and that can help boost defences against pests and virus in the plant. There are plant additives out their that are pure chitosan in varying concentrations and they use this to make the buds extra frosty. To much can harm the plant though. I also found out I needed to water them a bit more then normal not that the stretch is happening. so they got 6L this week each vs the regular 4L but it was split up in 3 days. In the first bit they got all the additives i normally do and the other bit was just PH'd water, didn't want to over load em. I used a trim bin inside of a container to separate all the pollen and keep it contained. I'm storing it the fridge in a mason jar with some silica packets to keep it dry. I used a light bleach mixture to clean it in between harvests and fully submerge it in the container.
