12/30/23 - Day 54 - Hello All! I started this week a day early. I wanted to update everyone on something I have been thinking about a lot. Curing. I feel if there was a hole in my growing skills it would be curing. Last grow there was more than I had anticipated. I was not set up for curing 1 lb. I threw in an audible at the last minute. It worked out but I know I can improve with some trial and error and hands-on experience. So after reading a ton, and going off of some of my prior builds for drying, I came up with this design. I have a controller that will turn the air on and will run when the contents inside the box hit whatever RH% I want to set it at. I think the first week I will set it for 78%RH, then every couple of days go down a % until I hit 62%. The thought is that if the bucket gets above the set RH% then the air will kick on and distribute air across the buds until the RH% is back down to where you want it. It will force the humidity out. I won't need to worry about burping. It will happen on its own.... in theory. Ill update tomorrow with some pictures after the water change. 12/31/23 - Day 55 - Everything is looking good. The water change completed this morning while I was in the shower. Its adding nutes now and will do so over the next hour or so. She is starting to get stinky. I had to add the extra carbon filter to the room. I've got some pics up top of that. Happy New Year! Next time I post it will be in 2024! Have a great night and be safe! I got a comment on the bushy-ness and I got self-conscious and gave her a trim. Lol I have been going bath and forth for a while and that gave me the push to give her a little trim. She looks great and is growing really quickly. Ill update with more pics as it goes along.

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend. Not much to report on the Durban Nights, she popped above soil on day 3 and is now on day 7 and has her first true set of leaves. I started prepping the Coco Coir by flushing down to .4 EC and then soaking in water with an EC of 2.0 with Cal Mag and a PH of 6.8. I will let it soak until the seedlings are ready to be transplanted hopefully by next weekend or shortly thereafter. The weather in my region is perfect for cultivating seedlings as it is fairly hot and humid and I only have the Spectrum X running at 30% so it is not putting out much heat and I also have a humidifier running in the tent on low which is maintaining a RH of around 68%. I do have the AC Infinity fan kick on here and there just to keep some fresh air in the tent but no real issues with heat. Super excited for this strain as it is a cross of Durban Thai and Jack Herer which are two of my favorite Sative Strains. I hope everyone has a safe weekend. Our #15 or rather this new creation by Seeds Mafia that we are growing with love is starting to get serious. It grows well and in a very regular way, the leaves are clean and it has a characteristic that makes the plants always very beautiful and special, it has low internodal distance, so don't top and let it go when you see autoflowering like this. We have started with fertilizers for growth which we give in reduced doses together with the rooting agent for the entire vegetative phase. Training has been continued. She is developing very nicely. As of today she has been switched to 12/12, as the net starts to get busy and anticipating another stretch I thought it would be time.

Rain, Rain and more Rain. That is the only issue in our garden at this point and we are on the lookout for bud rot on each of our girls. The season is changing quickly and we no longer believe the girls in the garden will be harvested in the order that they should, they will come done as long as they can stay healthy. It is unfortunate but the outdoor growing adventure can sometimes be harsh, either way we always appreciate what the plant gifts to us. They all had a taste of the microbes and we are now sticking to a daily watering although we will add the Epsom’s once a week, at the moment we have sunshine and the temperature seems right which is something to be thankful for. As for Opium, she has maintained herself. We feel she is by far the strongest in the garden when it comes to weather, bugs and any type of disease. Let us just hope she can stay free off the rot.
