I will be focusing this diary on the smoothie strain but you’ll be seeing some other plants in the tent that are not the same strain. I only have room in this tent so bare with me. There are 2 Smoothie, 1 CNC, and 1 Stardawg (dog). The smoothie are the two bigger ones in the back of the tent. Now, the Smoothie from FastBuds is just killin it right now. Since I popped the beans they have done nothing but show signs of greatness. I don’t think this one is gonna slow down much either. I’m going to push these plants harder than my last harvest. I had a really really amazing harvest last time. I was even able to pull sap out of all 4 plants. 2 Zkittles and 2 LSD-25. This was all done by feeding at the right times and keeping a “moist” soil. Also I want add that I ran pretty much the entire line of Nectar for the Gods at a little less then the recommended ratios. This time I plan on going a tiny bit over the recommended ratios just to see what these plants will do. Trust me, if the plants have a bad response I will go back to the recommended ratios. The reason I want to do this is because I really think these auto strains can handle a lot more than a regular flowering cycle plant would. They can handle more stress, that’s for sure. When do you think I should add a compost tea into my regimen? Soon or wait till the plant is a little larger?

Struggling to get good pictures for my diary at the min when the lights on my pictures are all blurred from the light and i dont like to go in there when its lights out time for them, i had to move the 3 mimosa and 3 tropicana from 1 tent to another and i think the light change stunted the growth for 5/6 although the 5 that got stunted have now bounced back nicely there just way behind in size to the 1 mimosa that took to the change of conditions fine, had a slight nutrient defeciency i developed inbetween weeks 2-3 and they looked worse for wear had me worried to be honest but everything looks nice and healthy now and all growing strong, PS the other 4 decent sized plants are liberty haze i need to edit the diary and add the strain in its also barneys farm, will try to get better pics and videos over the next couple of weeks as i approach switching to flower

Very happy with this weeks growth. So much sugar. I did lots of trimming after last weeks pictures. These girls were flushed yesterday and the smell is really starting to show. Will get some good trichome shots uploaded later today, starting to see lots of milk soon :)

I put the plants under the Electric Sky 180 V2 I kept only 4 plants because one was growing really slow compare to the others and another turned out to be a automatic plant so i took it away as well. I am keeping 2 phenos of the Nanaz x BBC and 2 ot the Humboldt Headband.

I have transplanted these 3 girls into bigger fabric pots after they healed up a few days from topping.They have been doing great in the new pots even though I did lose some roots that grew thru the bottom of the air pots searching for water I didn’t remove 🤦‍♂️.So far so good and looking very healthy developing some colas :)

Will update later on when I get the time. I have some valuable info on the powdered malted barley and other amendments.

Beginning of week 9: Tropicana is 27 cm high and the stem is 38 cm long. Sun is back, rain stopped, happy growing. Day 57 🌤️⛅️🌤️🌤️ 10-23 degrees, humidity is between 70 and 80%. Today I checked the PH of my collected rainwater, of the drainage, of my field horsetail tee / manure. With the soil everything is ok I think. PH of the drainage is 5,9. I was very surprised about the high PH of my homemade fertilizer. Today I took some macro fotos with my new magnifying glasses. I saw the first purple leafs and trichomes everywhere. They are all clear I think. It‘s my first time growing a cannabis plant and I love it!😻 Day 58 🌤️🌥️☁️☁️ 13-23 degrees, humidity between 60 and 95%. Tropicana feels better now with more light. It‘s much brighter during the days but today again cloudy. In my eyes Tropicana looks happy and she is so beautiful. I want to bite in one of those buds, but I will not do yet. Maybe I will take some of the less lighted buds, harvest for tee with cream. I like to vape my cannabis and cook or bake with resin and butter. So I plan to let Tropicana take all the time she needs to produce enough amber medicine. Day 59 🌤️☀️🌤️⛅️ 12-24 degrees, humidity 65-80% The smell is incredible. I really like it. Day 60 🌤️⛅️🌤️🌥️ 11-25 degrees, humidity 62-78%. This morning Tropicana got a bio banana shake which I prepared yesterday evening. I chopped three banana peels and boiled them in one liter of water for short. After I blended them together wit the water and let it stand overnight. Then I sifted the fertilizer in the early morning and gave Tropicana her breakfast: 700ml rainwater and 70ml of my banana fertilizer. The drainage had a PH of 6 On nearly all flowers it‘s possible to find purple colors. The pistils started to change the colors. Our balcony is in the first floor and today it was possible to smell Tropicana down on the street next to the house. 🤭 Day 61 🌤️☀️☀️☀️ 11-26 degrees, humidity 55-75%. Today it was very obvious that Tropicana started fatten up the buds to mature: Different colors, very strong smell, pistils are getting orange. I spotted the first amber trichomes. I could have a nice and potent June harvest but I think it will finish in the first week of July. Day 62 🌤️⛅️🌤️⛅️ 13-21 degrees, humidity is 50-60%. Tropicana enjoys the morning sun while I drink a fresh hemp leaf tee and reflect the last two month of my legal balcony grow. I watered with 700ml pure rainwater. The run off PH ist around 6,3. So I‘m quit sure that the reason for the increase in PH was the watering with the field horsetail manure, which has got a high PH something like more then 7. Day 63 ☀️☀️☀️☀️ 13-20 degrees and the humidity is between 66 and 85 % Beautiful monday morning. Tropicana asked for a banana smoothie, today 1:20 mixed with 700 ml. pure rainwater. She likes to drink it slowly, so I don‘t water all in one anymore. First maybe 20%, 10 minutes later 30% and after half an hour 50%. If I watered all in one, 100 ml of 700 ml run off. If I water step by step, all of the water stays in the pot. After 24 h the pot is much lighter and I need to water again. She is very thirsty in these days.

Yeah baby patience pays. This girl took her time pushing out flowers but I really think she has potential for a great yield. Very slight defoilation seemed to be received well by the plant as she stretched a bit more. Pretty shape and healthy growth.

I cut out branches and 2 defoliations during flower to let the light get trough, if u keep her healthy dont worry to cut her nice

Transplanted into larger containers with fresh soil. The soil is a blend of Peat Moss one Perlite. I then mixed some older soil with the new Peat/Perlite blend. After the transplant I watered with Recharge to help get some healthy microbes starting to develop in the soil. Since she was stretched out a little I tried burying her a little deep during the transplant. I'm hoping to see some nice improvements over the next few weeks. Stay tuned...

@MephistoGenetics, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 10 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. Which means airflow and internal light penetration become critical early. And that’s exactly why this week mattered. ⸻ 🍃 The Defoliation — Not Aesthetic. Architectural. This was not cosmetic trimming. It was: • Removing large fan leaves blocking interior bud sites • Cleaning inner congestion • Opening airflow channels • Resetting light distribution across the canopy • Helping the entire room environment (not just this plant) The room needed air — this plant was advanced enough to handle stress. That’s key. Week 3 of flower is the transition window: • Stretch is slowing • Bud sites are set • Energy shifts toward stacking At this stage, a strategic defoliation: • Improves transpiration efficiency • Reduces microclimate humidity pockets • Prevents internal leaf-to-leaf condensation • Encourages bud site activation below the top canopy This was structural architecture. Not haircut vanity. ⸻ 🌡️ 28°C in Flower — “Too Hot?” Let’s Go Deep. People panic when they hear 28°C in flower. But here’s where most growers confuse: 🔥 HPS vs LED Heat Behavior Under HPS: • Radiant heat warms leaf surfaces directly • Leaf temperature often equals or exceeds room temp • 28°C air under HPS can mean 30–32°C leaf temp • That pushes VPD dangerously high Under LED: • Less infrared radiation • Leaf surface temp is typically 1–3°C LOWER than room temp • So at 28°C room temp, leaf temp might be 25–26°C And VPD calculations depend on leaf temperature, not air temperature. ⸻ 🌿 What Is Leaf VPD? VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) measures the difference between: • Moisture inside the leaf • Moisture in the surrounding air But if you calculate VPD using only room temp, you’re missing the real transpiration dynamics. With: • 28°C air • ~25–26°C leaf surface (LED) • 65% RH Leaf VPD sits in a very workable mid-flower zone. Not extreme. Not stress-inducing. Not shutdown territory. We’re driving metabolism, not cooking terpenes. ⸻ 💧 Why 65% RH Isn’t Dangerous Here Context matters: • Good airflow • Opened canopy • Compact but cleaned structure • Early-mid flower (Week 3, not Week 7) At this stage: • Pistils are forming • Bud density is still moderate • Transpiration is active High humidity becomes dangerous when: • Bud mass is dense • Internal airflow is poor • Late flower resin traps moisture We’re not there yet.
