Man, it's been a crazy week. These past few days have been brutal – seriously cold with this crazy humidity. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of the chills and the way my skin feels all sticky. It's been a struggle, but I'm finally getting on top of things. I think I've figured out a good routine to dry things out around here, so hopefully, I'll be feeling a lot more comfortable soon.

I felt things were going well, and didn't want to jinx it.... however my time has come for the next level of challenges. This week things were looking great, but then I saw some leaves having discolored spots. I looked under the microscope and saw it was the leaf, didn't think much more of it. Next day, more spots, so I investigated. looking again with the microscope, I found the devil! Spider mites! So, I sprayed greencleaner on them at light shutoff... and the following day plant does not look too good. Looks dry and light burned. So I moved the lights up, they were not a problem before and the plant had stopped stretching this week. hopefully I this will go away, but I need to spray tomorrow to keep with the schedule, hope it does not dry out y plants as much this time! However looking at the bugs again, they are dead! I also lollypopped the girls, however since I am a noob, I could have trimmed more, but it makes me nervous of taking off too much, so maybe a few days I will take some more off, or just watch the dead leaves closer, and will clear daily...

Ayer le tocó agua pura y en cuanto me pida más le daré un poquito de extracto de algas de top crop. Big one y top auto en muy bajas dosis, pues la planta no ha mostrado signos de deficiencia alguna.. Hice un riego foliar con aceite de Neem, extracto de canela y jabón potásico a modo preventivo. Ha respondido bien a la nueva luz, la distancia entre el sodio y la copa es de 60cm, iré acortando más adelante 10cm más si la temperatura me lo permite, La sigo!

This week, I continued the LST on each plant everyday. Unfortunately, I broke one branch of the Cashew Kush by pulling too hard on it. Since it was one of the double branches (see last week photo), I'm curious to see if the other smaller branch will now increased its growth to compensate the loss. The growth is good despite some probable nitrogen excess (curled tip + dark green leaves) on the Blackberry Cake and the Cashew Kush. This is not the first time I'm facing this with Sensi Seeds plants in this pre-fertilized soil, but they always turned out fine in the end! I added a bit more water to these two plants to try to eliminate a bit of nitrogen excess. I also increased the watering frequency. I wanted to give some light to the lower branches without defoliating too much, too soon. So, I get the idea of removing only some leaflets on all the plants. I don't know if this technique has a name and if it's useful. Flushing has started and I expect to harvest within the next days. Mostly all the trichomes are milky. Not many clear trichomes left, and some older sugar leaves have have trichomes getting yellowish amber.

Gorilla Jealousy F1 is growing great. I just did her first lst training today. Getting her spread out and center opened up for future growth. Everything is looking great. So as you can see I now have four flowering which I guess were the autos and I have one gelato that is still vegging and is doing damn good. There are two that have lighter color leaves, I’m trying to focus on on these and see if I can get better production. As for the tall GG in the back, leaves are waxy and have resin production starting. A lot better, overall I’m learning more and more every week! Ive been busy brewing up the High tea and I fed about 15 litres of the diluted (5:1 water/tea ratio) Tea to her over a two day period and she lapped it up and has regained her vigor again. I know ive mentioned it previously in this diary but I can't stress how Important the condition of your soil is in ,is to your plants overall health. Ive seen lots of grows (mine included) where the Grower only takes notice of the plant itself and ignores the soil until issues appear via the leaves on the plant ie nutrient deficiencies , Root problems ,disease etc . By being Proactive with your soil as well as your plant you can potentially eliminate or alleviate any problems before they can effect the plant. Things like the use of Mycorrhizae will attack any bad pathogens within the soil and root system. Using seaweed/kelp on a regular basis helps the plant during times of stress or High temps as well as being a NATURAL PGR . Mollasses can be used to provide Carbs to your plants roots and the girls love it!! This will be the last week of 18/6. I've got to count 2 - 3 weeks of stretching at 12/12 and the surface of the screen ain't that huge. I've did some defoiling, not much...just some top leaves and some under the screen. My watering and feeding strategy is that I start with little doses, less then prescribed by Canna. The soil is fresh so there are already nutrients available. I don't water the Runtz everyday, but every other day. This week that was about 1 liter every other day. And it got a bit brighter this week. The grow lights are lowered to 70 cm (27 inches) at 224 watt. Hello. This is the end of week 12 and the beginning of week 13 of veg. The plants are doing good and smelling like citrus/lemon when I work with them. It will still be another week or 2 before I start flowering. I'll continue with training them till they fill in their spaces. A couple of plants have made it to the edge now, but still have to fill in the spaces. They are getting a gallon of rainwater each 3 to 4 days now. There's lots of compost in each pot (5 gallons per pot) to keep them going for a few more weeks before needing nutrients. In the past, in this greenhouse, I've used my 15 gallon hydro reservoir to give a some nutrient each day, and hand watered when they seem dry. And got great results. So I'll try that method again this year. Give enough nutrient each day for 6 days so the 15 gallon tub lasts 6 days. Then make more nutrient and wash the tub/reservoir on the seventh day. Then fill it up for the next 6 day schedule. I'll do that starting the 2nd week of flowering with flowering nutrient. Just so's you knows. OK. Be Great. Chuck.
