Danylo Germination: 18h soak in 1% H2O2/distilled water¹ - then directly in low nutrient substrate mix.
Visible in the pic are the three seeds I chose for this run. From these seeds, the Orange Bud 2.0 seed was the _most_ juicy one! Quite a bit heavier than usual and instead of floating slightly below the surface for half a day it sank almost immediately!
It germinated without problems, but the cotyledons were looking unusual.
As it turns out this seedling started with three branches per node. Never had this directly on the first node before - will be very interesting to see where this one goes!

Danylo From the second node on, two of the three branches were fused together. Apart from this the plant grew very vigorous and was ready to be transplanted into a 1L pot after only 11 days.
She seems to have strong root-genes, probably not going to be a picky eater ;)

Danylo She grew well into her slightly larger pot.
Some defoliation this week to get some more light on the lower branches so they don't get completely left behind growthwise.

Danylo Many things happened this week. They got too big for the small veg tent, so in the big one they went!
She also was transplanted into her final pot (20L) which probably should have happened a few days sooner. To the detriment of the bigger ones I was waiting for the slowest of the three (a Sensi Seeds - Nicole Hindu Kush) to root through its' pot. I should take my own advice and not do that 💩
Still thinking about what to actually do with the fused branch situation.
Some (lots) more defoliation too.

Danylo After a few days the first roots were poking out of the bottom already. Absolutely amazed by her root system 😍 She was apparently very happy about her new, larger pot.
I decided to remove the mutant branch. While it looked really cool, abberant structures like these can be starting points for budrot. Which I already have nightmares about.
So with everything in place and the 12/12 switch on the horizon I topped. I wanted to give her at least a few days to acclimatize.

Danylo Slowly changing light hours from 19 to 12 this week. I also did some heavy defoliation because the lower branches were completely obstructed from direct light. I swear I must have taken off about 50% of their green mass each. I usually stop when I think "ok this is getting a little much".
They just fucking laughed it off though. After 4 days they had slightly improved structure but the tent looked like a rainforest again.

Danylo She is stretching nicely. Looks like she'll have great structure and not get tooo tall.
At the end of this week the first signs of inflorescence started to show.
What comes after all the defoliation you ask ? More defoliation.

Danylo On the last few days of stretch. Flowers are coming in nicely.
She is getting frosty early too! The other two (Sensi "Nicole HK" and "Big Berry Bliss") show no signs of frost yet - I'm sure it will come but my beloved Orange Bud 2.0 is the frontrunner 😊
Also defoliation.

Danylo Stretch is mostly through, so this week I started them on the pink miracle juice.
Flowering is progressing nicely, especially trichome-wise. I also see some darker colors on the edges of some leafs!
Her buds seem to have an interesting morphology - very excited to see what they look like in harvest week.
No defoliation this week! 😬

Danylo To my uneducated eye it almost seems as if the buds have stopped gaining much volume at the moment. Which is funny because the trichome production has not stopped. even. a. little.
She has loads of budsites though, so yield will be awesome in any way. I would, however, love for the general bud-morphology to stay the way it is atm, because I imagine her bag appeal would be fucking amazing! A man can dream... 😻
Will probably update this week 2-3 more times - this is my first "real-time" diary-week !
Also: No defoliation this week either!! (Let's not count a few stragglers getting caught in the zipper)
