Starting to look better!

Hola cultivadores. Se acerca la víspera de año nuevo, y con ello, la llegada de la floración. El día 12/27 observé las plantas y se aprecian diminutos pelos blancos, no están presentes en todas las ramas. Pero es suficiente para comenzar la fertilización con productos de floración. Escogí Bio-Bloom de BioBizz en su dosis media para que se adapte poco a poco al cambio de alimento, reduciendo igualmente el Fish-Mix a la mitad. Se mantuvo el Acti-Vera y el Alg-A-Mic en su misma dosis. Ya la planta alcanzó los 67 cm, esperemos crezca y engruese sus ramas porque igualmente están delgadas para soportar el peso de los cogollos.

Hello Diary. At the end of the story, I am very happy with the whole cycle and finally the outcome. 😍 More or less all the information is in the diary, there are really a lot of photos that speak more than words. What I would point out at the end of this story, the Hulkberries were different. One was more developed in width and that eventually had a higher yield as well. He reached a height of 105cm, while the other was more developed in height and grew to 117cm. But the Hulkberry is a great sativa strain, I didn’t have any problems throughout the cycle, I didn’t do any training I just did a little defoliation twice. 👌 The branches were dried for 12 days after which they were finished in jars for another three weeks. In the end I would like to thank the Royal Queen Seeds for making this wonderful strain, Grow Diaries where I can learn, and share something I really love. 07/09/2024 Week 7 Update!!! Yooo what's good gang update!!! What's good gang, we pushing into week 7 now and the girls are doing great, chugging along trying to get them to even out at the canopy level nutso let's see!! 07/11/2024 Yoo gang what's brackin!?!?👹 Soo they girls are coming along, gotta do the water change Sunday and gunna hit the Rez with that CropSalt drop on em!!! Beginning of week.. I only went up on the FloraNectar Fruit-N-Fusion.. The rest, I am going to wait till next week to change up.. The Mandarin Cookies seems like she is right at the end of the stretch.. Still slightly but just about done, if not done now. Both of these girls are stacking calyxes and pistils.. Both are giving off purple stiples.. Not calyxes or pistils.. But the stiples ONLY are purple.. Crazy.. Never seen that before and both ladies have it.. The smells are both already beginning to appear! Both are very tangy already! So excited! Just defoliated a bit more to the Mandarin Cookies this morning.. That's all I think I'm going to do.. Unless I find a larfy nug somehwere.. Other than a few stragglers I may have missed, I believe I'm done with defoliating both ladies now.. Second time with ETHOS Genetics.. Not even halfway thru flower and I can already tell both of these will be on the top of my fav's list for sure. Wow.. Lol Mid week.. Ok so I think the Mandarin Cookies is showing a phosphorus deficiency.. It looks very similar to pH fluctuation.. So.. Stupidly.. yesterday, I went ahead and did a FloraKleen flush in the AM.. Just a plain pH'd water flush in the PM.. And the next AM I went ahead and fed her with the normal dosage I have posted, with the exception of 1.5 tsp/g of the FloraBloom instead of 1 tsp/g.. But it's still too early to tell if it's clearing up.. As a matter of fact.. It does look worse today.. It has spread a little since... 2 days ago.. Which is understandable.. I'm still trying to bring the runoff PPM back up.. Once it's where I'd like it, or where SHE likes it, it should clear up within a week.. Oh.. The runoff pH is like 5.6 - 5.5... I know they say that's ok.. But I have YET to have a plant survive even in hydro at 5.5 pH.. Idk why they even say that's ok to be at lol.. If this isn't a phosphorus deficiency.. Then its gonna be pH fluctuation.. Ugh.. Should've just started with new, buffered coco/perlite in fabric pots.. But they are both trucking along.. ETHOS Cookies smells so dank.. I can't even begin to describe.. Mandarin Cookies is smelling very fruity.. Both have VERY complex aromas for sure! Typical ETHOS strains for sure... I can tell these are gonna be some awesome nugs when these girls are finished! End of week.. Mandarin Cookies has stopped stretching for sure.. The calyxes are already so fat! This is gonna be some nice bud for sure.. Very fruity, sweet, citrusy.. Man, I can't wait to taste her! And the ETHOS Cookies.. Wow.. Such a different scent than I've ever smelled before.. Very hard to pinpoint exactly.. Still short as all fuck, but these colas should be pretty nice and dence.. The tips of the calyxes are already turning purple/blue.. I know the temps aren't low at all.. Even at night.. About 82F - 84F during the day and 73F - 75F at night.. Humidity jumps up and down.. Idk wtf the deal is with that.. But they are both lovin life.. I believe the Phosphorus def. has slowed and almost stopped at this point.. The runoff pH is getting even lower.. Now it is coming out at 5.5.. I've ran FloraKleen thru.. Flushed the shit out of the medium multiple times.. Smh.. Can't seem to get this to clear up.. The ETHOS Cookies runoff pH is perfect.. Going it at 6.2 every watering/feeding and runoff is 6.1 - 6.2 with no fluctuations whatsoever.. Perfect! My best guess is that I left the too many roots from the previous grow and they go acidic after a while.. The ETHOS Cookies pot maybe didnt have as much? And it was able to clear out now?? No idea.. I hope the Mandarin Cookies clears out soon.. Or at least that she makes it through till harvest.. ETHOS Genetics for the win!... On to the next week!...

After defoliation? She bounced back like nothing happened. No stall. No stress signals. Just structure, stacking, and deep healthy green. That’s not luck. That’s environment + balance. And she’s beautiful. ⸻ Environment — Playing on the Edge (But Controlled) Room Conditions • Canopy Temp: ~28°C • RH: ~70% • CO₂: 1000+ ppm • PPFD: 800 → 1300 µmol/m²/s On paper, 28°C + 70% RH sounds high. But numbers without airflow mean nothing. Massive Airflow We’re running: • Strong horizontal movement • Vertical air displacement • Active air exchange • Under-canopy circulation Airflow changes everything. Stagnant 70% RH is dangerous. Moving 70% RH behaves very differently. ⸻ 🍃 Leaf VPD vs Room VPD Room VPD says one thing. Leaf VPD tells the real story. Under strong light, leaf surface temperature runs slightly above ambient. That increases transpiration. Add 1000+ ppm CO₂: • Stomata don’t need to open as wide • Photosynthesis rate increases • Plants tolerate higher humidity • Metabolism stays high That’s why they’re not just surviving. They’re pushing. ⸻ 💡 Lighting Strategy — Scaled to Structure We are not blasting everything equally. • Larger tops: up to 1300 µmol • Smaller plants: ~800 µmol Light intensity is matched to plant size and leaf mass. No ego lighting. Only usable photons. ⸻ 🔦 Under-Canopy Lighting — Why? This isn’t a gimmick. Purpose: • Illuminate lower bud sites • Reduce larf • Stimulate lower-zone photosynthesis • Improve uniformity • Keep lower canopy metabolically active We’re not replacing top light. We’re filling in where dense canopy blocks energy. Active lower buds stay healthier. Healthier lowers improve airflow. Better airflow stabilizes microclimate. Everything connects. ⸻ 🔴 End-of-Day Red (15 Minutes After Lights Off) We run a 15-minute red pulse at lights-off. This is phytochrome management. Plants operate with two main phytochrome states: • Pr (red-absorbing) • Pfr (far-red absorbing) Red light pushes phytochrome into the active Pfr state. In darkness, Pfr slowly converts back to Pr. By giving a short red signal: • We influence phytochrome equilibrium • Support flowering signaling • Encourage structural consistency • Potentially stabilize transition timing It does not extend photoperiod. It manipulates light signaling — not day length. And as always: We experiment. We observe. We document. No magic claims. ⸻ 🌱 Feeding & EC — They’re Hungry • Soil EC: 0.9 • Feed EC: 2.4 This tells us something important. They’re eating aggressively. As long as runoff EC stays stable and does not climb: We maintain strength. High metabolic demand requires high input. If soil EC rises? We adapt immediately. No rigid formulas. Day 64, 22nd of November 2021: Hi there! Here we go..... so basically pistils are appearing stronger this is the 2nd weeks since they started producing pre flowers. The plants getting a bit light might be some air circulation problem? However they look good and of course closer to the end the gettin' older so the leaves also die. Set up and timing is the same since flower season started. ViparSpectra XS2000 is on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity. Ventilation: 12 hours period when the lamp is on it switches 1 hour on and after one hour off mostly to keep the temperature and of course because of fresh air flow. When the lamp is off it switches on in every 2 hours for 15 min at the same time with the extraction fan. The extraction fan is on 12 hours when the lamp is, and then it switches on in every 2 hours for 30 min. That's all a bit more water for them from today also. Humidity quite the same approx 50%, temperature as well approx 26-27 Celsius. Fertilization remains the same since last week, the BioBizz family raised up to be 2ml/L each so it is like 2ml/L of BioGrow, 2ml/L of BioBloom, 2ml/L of TopMax... see the ratio above. The schedule of the fertilization has not changed happnes 2x a week except epsom salt just 1x a week.

These ladies are doing their thang! One week since sprout. Had to move them to cups to support the stem as they were flopping. Placed a fan for circulation to try and get some strength in them. First feed at the end of week one. Went with half dose of the 1EC measurement as per Pro Line chart.

Growing was quiet hard as it just wouldnt respond will with training technique such as super cropping she hardly stretched when switched to flower and grew slow during veg but can not say till I do another run and do things different and as it was my.first time also growing from clones

I’ve just prepared the microbial cultivation and took some photos. I’ll be recording the process separately Thanks for sticking with me through this! 9/19 She was fed with SSKNF Grow #2 @ 9/19 - 12:23PM Hoping to see releaf tomorrow morning for update~! 9/20 This plant has moved past the 3rd node where the leaves were touching. I believe I caught the deficiency just in time before it caused more stress. The leaves haven't returned to their normal color yet, but new growth has started again. It might take a day or two for the lower shoots to fully recover and begin stretching. 9/21 Next morning, the plant seems to be recovering and growing again. The fourth set of leaves has clearly separated from the third, which were previously touching. It will be a full 48 hours today at 12:23 PM since I fed the Home Cultivated Microbes. I'm eager to see the side shoots catch up and grow faster now. Fed on 9/19 at 12:23 PM — first signs of recovery showed about 6 hours later.

-Week 3 of flower. The plants are starting to look better since I corrected the ec and ph. The buds are swelling en the new growth is nice and green. Let's hope they have recovered by next week so they can get back to full focus on the buds.

Seeds Aliens UFOs

start of week 6 the critical buds feel rockhard already O.o

Started LST on the remaining 5 plants I watered straight with 1 ml Pro-TeKt per gal. More horizontal growth on these plants than I'm used to.

Start of week three looks like everything is good so far Topped one ( less leafy one on the left) today feb17th first time topping might do the other one in few days not sure yet if I want to just let it grow nat Day 19 Feb 19 I topped the other one on the right bushy one

Bueno, ayer hice el ultimo riego, mas cantidad de lo habitual, y ya cuando seque, se corta, supongo que actualizaré fotos, conforme avance la semana, del corte y posterior proceso ya que dado que hubo araña y ciertos problemas, voy a hacer el budwashing que habitualmente hago.

Both ladies are growing frosty buds smelling grapes as its name suggests. Both seem to have about 7-10 days left to finish. Next week, I will start flushing.
