KnightRider Hey Cannafam Welcome to my Sundae Worship diary π
FastBuds are really pumping out the new strains at the moment and this collaboration between them and Mephisto really caught my eye, citing that the strain blends the creamy, dessert-like traits of Sundae Thumper with the vibrant tropical fruit profile of Guava Auto RF3, producing dense, resin-heavy buds.
I'm hoping that i can get a plant that looks like moody dark frosty beauty on their website and that she will be worthy of my devotion and Worship!
For this grow il be using my usual 65/35 split of Plagron Royal mix and Canna Coco pro blended together in a 4 gallon pot for a nice airated substrate.
I've mixed Atami NRG upgrade through the substrate as i've had good results with this previously along with Dynomyco.
It'll be my first time trialing the FB 4 gallon fabric. I would normally go for a 3 gallon tops, so it will be interesting to see if i can get her roots completely filling it for a better end result π
Her seed has been soaked for Four hours today in a shot glass with some dynomyco, after which the seed had already swollen and looked ready to pop!. I made a shallow hole a couple of mm deep, wet itdown before planting scraped the Dyno gunk on top from the glass and gently firmed in with a few more drops of water applyed by hand after. Lastly a grape box was pinned over the to protect my seed as i've had some issues with a local squirrel recently digging in my plant pots causing kaos!
Tempretures her in the UK after a cold start to week were 30c yesterday with 18c last night and were set for the same today so nice and warm for germination.

Well its not been the best start for my little Sundae, in fact this is probably the slowest start possible. When i planted the seed she looked ready to pop, but shes only just broke the surface today!
My theory is that when i scraped the microryzal gunk over the top of her it set with the earth like concrete, to be honest i cant really tnink why else she would have taken so long as its been nice and warm.
My other issue this week is the local squirrel who dug up my other plant recently, the little bugger had been trying to dig under the grape box! luckily he didnt manage to dislodge the turf pins. Ive included a pic and he even looks sinister and like hes plotting more damage π€£
Weather wise we started the week with really hot weather for May, with temps of 28c daytime and 16c at night, the tempratures have slowly tapered off daily by a couple of degrees each day and by Thursday - Saturday we were looking at 22c daytime 14c nightime.
The days have been solid sunshine with humidity about 55 until yesterday and today when its been raining all day, current temp is 18c and humidity has shot up to 83. Daylight is currently at 16 hours 09 minutes currently.
The weathers looking a bit more unsettled/cooler for the next week but hopefully when shes cracked out she'll be ok.

Horray I now have a plant!!!
After a stalled start last week shes now broken out of her shell and started life proper. Although still tiny shes just started her first set of leaves, is lookin healthy and she can only grow up from here! Im also happy to report theres been no further squirell attacks this week, my hope is that the mighty Eagle has carried him off on holiday π
The weathers been pretty shocking over the past week overall, Its been raining everyday this week with a few hours of Sun on a couple of days and today again has been sunshine and showers alternating all day.
Tempretures have dropped significantly and for the 1st half of the week we were looking at 14c daytime and 10c at night, Friday - Sunday were all 16c Day and 10c night and yesterday and today weve got extra warmth at a heady 17c π€£ Daylight length is currently at 16 hrs 20 minutes.
The weather from the reports is looking to be a bit better for the next week, so hopefully she'll have a bit more Sun and can start flourishing.

Well my gal has had a slow week, we started the first half of the week like the last, low tempretures around 17c daytime 12c night, continous rain and winds at around 30mph with high humidity 80%. On Friday afternoon things to dry out a bit, with Saturday and Sunday having some decent Sun at 23c, then Sunday night a thunderstorm we and yesterday back to greyness and today Fog with high humidity! Daylight hours are currently at 16hrs 25minutes.
Growth wise shes not got allot bigger this week due to the weather, Her Cotyledons have actually shrunk which is weird never seen that before π€ She has however just started her second set of leaves and the weather is due to improve so im hoping things will be more progressive next week.
Shes also had a close shave with the afterlife this week, i noticed some slug snail trail in the pot, ive very carefully put a ring of diamatous earth round her after i learnt recently from my other grow it can damage leaves so hopefully that will keep the bleeders at bay!

My little Guava girl has had a much better week just gone. Shes just started her 3rd set of leaves and is looking miuch happier overall π
I didn't voice my concerns last week but i was that maybe her tough breakthrough initialy had maybe stressed/stunted her, but thankfully she seems ok, and most development has taken place in the past couple of days due to better conditions.
Weather wise its been allot drier/consistant overall but with fog, mist and drizzle starting each day Tuesday - Saturday with the Sun coming through for a bit in the afternoons. Humidity has remained very high but with constant temps of around 19c daytime 14c nightime on those days.
Sunday mist and cloud diappeared and it was a lovely hot 25c day/18c night and its been a scorching 28c both yesterday and today! Daylight hours are current 16hr 25 mins but this will now start reducing each day as the Summer Soltice was on the 21st.
With the heat shes been kept well watered(twice today) with a good drenching of the soil, as it could be fatal for a seeding if it dries out in these temps. i did think of putting her in shade today and yesterday but thought as shes of half Sativa lineage she'd be ok so let her soak it up, It would seem that this lineage is showing through currently as her leaves are long and slender.
The hot weather is due to continue all of this week at least for the rest of the week so im hoping she'll take off further from here π

My little Guava girl has had another good week due to some really decent and unseasonbly hot weather for the UK.
Its been absolutely scorchin with Tuesday 28c ,Wednesday and Thursday 30c with continuous Sun apart from a thunderstorm on thursday night but she was unphased. Average nighttime temps have been 24c during those days so uncomfortable for me but good for her π Friday through to Monday things tapered down to 23c with Sunny spells and cloud, and today things have been a bit breezy with 20 mph winds and cooler at 20c.
Daylight hours are currently at 16 hrs 22 minutes.
Growth wise shes really come on and recovered from her slow start just over doubling in height, putting on 2 tiers of nodes and shes just starting her 5th set of true leaves, her auxilary shoots have now also started and internodal spacing seems quite short at the moment. I don't think im gonna train her atm but i could well change my mind and we'll see how we go.
Shes also been nibbled a little bit by bugs but overall is lookin happy n healthy π

My little Guava girl has had another good week due again to good weather π
Although not as hot as last week its been Sunny everyday apart from a little rain Friday morning, its been really consistant with daytime temps of 21c -23c Tuesday - Sunday, yesterday thing crept up fo 25c and today things are hotting up again at 27c! nights with last days of heat are now an average 18c. Humidity has remained high in the range of 70-90% and Daylight hours are currently at 16 hrs 13 minutes.
I've been on two minds most of the week on whether or not she should receive any training, due to what seems like very short intrrnodal spacing, although i do want a low profile as it makes her blend into her surroundings easier in case unwanted visitors.
On Saturday i decided to FIM her, mainly because i've never FIMed an auto, but also topping would slow her down. Since then recovery has been fine and auxilary shoots have started growing out well, im going to train these out to the side of the pot hopefully in a nice formation. Also today shes just ticked over into flower, so hopefully any stretch should also be directed sideways.
She has been dined on this week slightly by a snail or slug but luckily i think it must have been a baby as only slight damage. This was entirely my fault as after a good watering i didn't replace the diamatous earth and she wasn't placed near my other grow which has a beer trap next to it, this has now been replenished!
All in all another solid week and really happy with our weather and her progress π

My little Guava girl has had an absolutely stella week due to the continuation of rare fantastic UK weather.
Wednesday things started to ramp up again tempreture wise 27c day/18c at night. Thursday - Sunday 30c day/ 20c night so pretty flippin hot again and yesterday and today things have dropped down to 28c in the day. Humidity has come down this week which has been welcome into the 70s and daylight is currently at 16 hrs 1 minute.
Shes been pretty consevative with water in this heat only drinking 2 litres a day and has taken the heat really well with no stress. I haven't administered any additional feed as shes still lookin good on the premmixed soil.
I can only describe the growth on this plant as Explosive over the past week, after the FIM all side branches have grown out significantly as i had wanted, but shes also grown upwards a great deal as well and is huge compared to last week just over doubling in height! So much for my plan to give her a low profile i may need to find a new place out of the way in the garden as shes now towering over all other plants and draws the eye immediately.
Training of any branches hasn't begun as yet as ive currently misplaced my twisty ties π
Overall shes lookin really strong, healthy and happy π
