At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. Harvest wet weight was 65.5 grams as a whole plant. Have her drying at 70 degrees and around 50% rh with a fan to circulate air. Will update with more info and pics when I start the cure. Update: dry weight is 12 grams. Buds were not as dense as I would’ve liked but very potent and sticky. Smoke is smooth and taste is more pronounced. After cure I’m sure it will be even better. I’m not upset at the final weight as it was 1 of 3 plants in a tiny 12x24x24 inch tent with weak lighting.

4/20 Still having trouble getting seeds to grow! 4 out of 6 seeds from the initial pop have died, so I've popped one more Chemdogging and one more Sour Diesel. Placed the popped seeds directly in the pot they'll stay in for the whole grow per suggestions. Built a 30"x36" trellis out of 3/4" PVC pipe, will install a double trellis netting on it once I set up the Blumat watering system. Also added in a smart power strip that now has built-in timers I can control from my phone. Organized all my extra grow equipment and cleaned up the room! The little pots in the photos are some random seeds I'm starting off in here to give to some friends to grow outdoors. 4/25 - sour diesel popped up today! 5/2 Still no luck getting the Chemdogging to sprout, currently waiting on C-dog and a Blackberry auto to sprout in my other two pots. Set up some random plants from seeds I found in a bag of Black Lime and Cookies, put them in a separate room to flower so I can find out if they're female.

Day 49 Flower Hey Growers. I did a flush last week to get my runoff closer to 1050. I’m not sure why this happens that I get tip burn doing FFW. Maybe I start ramping up flower nutes too much too quickly. I have tip burn on my Blue Dream too. I’ve gotta come up with a solution as it buggers everything up. Flushing and Dealing with tip burn instead of packing on size. This is a 10 wk strain so I’m not as concerned cuz there’s lots of time and I think I got ahead of it. The nugs are smaller, marble to golf ball sized but hard as a rock already. The smell is of over ripe lemon when it get that sweet and Hazey earthy woody characteristic. I’m going to feed 2 more weeks and try the Advanced Nutrient Overdrive that I have kicking around. Then flush heavy for 1 ish weeks and hopefully get a nice fade. The Vipar spectra XS2000 is doing a great job, it has me wondering if I could use it to flower a 4x4 of autos. Its super strong. My poor man’s light mover has the plants getting a ton of light every other day with a nice rest in between. There is no light burn or yellowing, a tiny bit of leaf edge curl that goes away during its rest day. I am very happy with this light and know it’ll blow up whatever I run in here next. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. Ho hum veg veg. The boring weeks that make the plant. Started with some LST but decided to give this girl the freedom to grow. Trimmed the lowest fan leaves only. Moved her around in the tent to give her some space and better light and airflow. Slight increase in nutrient strength.

Anche questo aggiornamento è stato fatto grazie all'aiuto di mia madre che gentilmente mi ha tenuto e curato le bambine, sono contento perché sembra che è riuscita a seguire tutte le mie istruzioni e questa volta non ci sono stati problemi...è la prima volta che mi capita di competere in un contest e farmi mandare foto per mail..chiedo scusa se la messa a fuoco non è sempre delle migliori e personalmente non posso chiedere di meglio, è un lavoro che mi serviva e sono dovuto partire lasciando tutto indietro...tornando ai nostri fiori, il green sensation di Plagron devo dire che ha fatto la differenza, contando che il cibo questa volta è stato preparato interamente da me, ha fatto un ottimo lavoro e i fiori sembrano dirlo forte! Light Schedule - 11/13 Cycle From the start of flower, we are running an 11 hours light / 13 hours dark schedule. Over the years, I’ve found this lighting strategy beneficial in inducing faster flower onset, increasing terpene production, and ultimately producing better-quality fruits. This is something I personally swear by, but as always, I encourage others to experiment and see what works best for their unique environments.
