Yep, I have been so lazy keeping my diary up to date, life gets in the way sometimes🙄 Im on week 19 or there abouts. So a few things, As of about a week ago, I thought I was close to harvest, I had advice to start harvest when around 60% of the pistils had turned color and curled along with the trichomes becomming cloudy. I cant really get a good look at the trichomes no matter what I try but a couple did appear amber which I was told you can probably get away with a few amber spots, but it is a good indication that its probably a good time to harvest? With that, I thought it be a good time to start flushing, so I started using just clean water to start the process at about week 18. Started getting from what it looked like last time, cal deficiency, so I added cal mag, slowly cleared but now it looks burnt either from nutrients or light🤦‍♂️🏽 4 days ago I noticed a sudden growth spurt with new growths throughout the buds, as you can tell in the pics. So I went back to adding just bud candy in the water..Stupid idea? And now today I have noticed fuzzy white mold and yellow gold spots in the soil. I dont know if it is harmful or a good indication? Should I just harvest it or let it grow further? Some advice would be much appreciated at this point. Other than that, it has been a super long and slow grow and I am so keen for it to be harvested already as you know, it is my first grow after all. Peace✌️😊

Finally moving on to the next stage where i expect to keep the conditions more stable and plan on moving the vpd up slowly as well as move the temperature down to around 21 degrees by the last week of flower. The lighting schedule will start at 12 hours of dark and increase by half an hour weekly until we get down to 10 hrs light and 14 hours of dark for the last two weeks (last week plus flush).

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are topdressed @ ml/gallon of soil. Day 1 we had sunshine and a lite breeze. Day 2 and 3 we had sunshine and a lite breeze. I watered about 2 gallons from the water hose per plant day 3. Day 4 we had shower in the morning and throughout the day. Day 5 we had rain in the early morning, drizzle and afternoon showers. I added an additional 50ml of ferrous sulfate top dressed. I also spread just enough peat moss to cover the ferrous sulfate to prevent the rain from splashing it onto plants. Previously the rain splashed granules of ferrous sulfate onto the leaves, burning them. I used 50ml or 1.66ml/gallon of soil, as I've only got about 30 gallons of soil in the pots. I'm waiting to top off after this excessive rain is done. Day 6 we had intermittent rain, drizzle, and mist throughout the day. This weather has been very WET for cannabis.The good news is the ferrous sulfate is working. The soil pH is down around 6.4. There's still a small amount of excess phosphorus but these girls will grow into it. Day 7 we had rain all morning and into the afternoon. The pots are soaked. I noticed on day 3 that the #1 plant is falling behind the other two. The reason is the procession of the sun has caused it's path to create shade on the #1 plant. We have large trees surrounding the grow area and the #1 plant is receiving about a hour less sun in the morning. I waited for the pot to get lite and moved to a sunnier location on day 3. Everyone grew very good despite the excessive rain and cool nights. The plants doubled in height and overall this week was a success.

Both growing under and in exactly the same conditions and substrates and nutes. Ones so much larger both are topped.

The girls are starting to wrap up their cycle. I have been watching the trichomes closely, and we are getting very close..Trying to pick the best day for both of the strains I have going at the moment, the Apple Betty are a little closer than the cookies, but they are very similar in readiness… I’ll be checking daily, I did get a wireless microscope for Christmas so it has become much easier to tell👨‍🔬 I’ve got mostly cloudy, with a few clear, but I am waiting for a bit more amber to give them the couch lock that I like when I smoke. My first grow 'attempt'. I am growing in an insulated shipping container. Using two Fluence SpydrX LED 660W lights. Not currently supplementing Co2. Feeding by hand for now but I will set up an automated dripper. Drain to waste. Growing in Pro-Mix HP w/ Mycorrhizae which contains (65%-75%) Peat-Moss, Perlite, Mycorrhizae, pH adjusters, and a wetting agent. All 5 seeds sprouted!! 3 Peat Pellet, 2 Paper Towel Light intensity set to lowest setting. (8%) Feeding every couple days with 160ppm, 6.0 pH. Overall, pretty good week. Lights on! Using 18/6 light schedule. The peat pellets were placed into peat pots and under a dome. The lights should have been turned on a lot sooner, the seedlings stretched quite tall. Lesson learned there. They continued to grow quite tall. One fell over, it was replanted slightly deeper to support it. Fingers crossed it survives. Light intensity set to lowest setting (8%). A lot to learn.
