Auto Mimosa - Mr.Hide Seeds - Late Summer Season 2024

TommyBVRSA75 Start of the autoflowering season in full summer, aiming to have the harvests ready by mid-autumn. I've focused on quality autoflowers, so that within a limit of ten weeks, we can have a variety of autoflowers. I'm looking for three specific indica strains: two with great potency and one with great flavor, along with a sativa strain that brings the most social herb flavor on the planet to delight some of our friends. So we start with the end and the first germinated. The Auto Mimosa, where we've already had some serious germination issues. With the heat, I've combined attempts and germination techniques, and the usual germinations in a glass of water and on a wet towel haven't gone as well as I'd hoped. I lost Mr. Hide Seeds' Auto Trippin 25, and out of the three, the Purple Queen Auto from RQS (the Trippin 25 from Mr. Hide is amazing weed, but the seed didn't take, what a shame, and the Purple Queen Auto from RQS, a seed I had conditioned about three years ago, had its "cotyledon" very curled up even in the seed shell. When I tried to remove the seed shell to place it in the jiffy peat, it simply broke... suggesting that the structure of the root peduncle wasn't necessarily of good quality, and forcing the cotyledons out of the seed shell was fatal due to its fragility. I think the existing heat at the seedling's start softened the root peduncle, leading to failure. I could have waited a bit longer on the paper towel, but given the number of days for germination and the existing heat conditions, it wasn't possible... it wasn't the first time, and it won't be the last. It's a shame because it was a seed from the "COVID fold" generation of 2020, and I'm sure the Purple Queen Auto RQS has been improved, but I would have loved to have the "purple queen," an example of one of the most important strains ever, from RQS. Meanwhile, if you can see in the photo... so far, the Mimosa Auto (really good) has thrived on paper towel and then moved to jiffy peat and into the pot. It's noticeable if you zoom in that one of the cotyledons did break, but it hasn't compromised the seedling's development, which has already started to grow, and it's clear that the seedling will have the conditions to thrive. It's probably not a cotyledon that will prevent the Mimosa Auto from thriving as it should, and it's easy to see that along the line of its stem area, its insertion in the jiffy peat, and its transition to the pot, I've been watering it with a very light dilution of Raimil from Cannaboom, which is phenomenal as a rooting agent. The pot preparation has been incredible, using 10 liters in an air pot, so that the grow will be completely organic, utilizing the new Biobizz milestone, the Juju Royal, which will be the nutrition I'll use from the start to the end of the autoflowering development. Well, and since this comment is getting long, let me tell you that the remaining growing area has undergone changes for this season, and I'll explain. As I've mentioned, the total cycle of the autoflowers will be 100% organic; the light power has been reinforced with the usual setup: 2 sets of Mars Hydro TS 1000, which is 300 watts + 2 sets of 26-watt TLED for vegetative growth, totaling 52 watts, plus 2 sets of 26-watt TLED for flowering, also adding another 52 watts... so the total light power will be 405 watts in full spectrum LED for an area of 0.64 m² (80 x 80 cm). In summary: 405 watts, from seedling to final harvest, in a constant light/dark period of 20/4. So, at a very good time, we already have the potential of the Mr. Hide Mimosa Auto, which, in addition to its wonderful flavor typical of Mimosa and its impressive colors, even in summer, are purple and pink, and its fruity terpenes give it a unique touch. And then, only when the OK is confirmed for continuity, as has happened with the Mimosa Auto, we currently have, with the root peduncle sprouting based on a wet paper towel, in addition to the Mr. Hide Mimosa Auto, also from Mr. Hide, the Auto Tropicana Hide, which is already at its peduncular point inserted in the jiffy peat, now in another 9-liter air pot; a third autoflower in the same conditions, the Critical Kush Auto from Barney Farm, and finally, with some differences, directly in the jiffy peat, the Blackberry Gum Auto, which went straight into the jiffy peat and is inserted in a special 9-liter plastic hydroponic pot. In all the pots, daily watering is done, distributing water with 0.2 ml of Raimil from Cannaboom per liter at the perfect pH of 6.00, distributing two liters daily of that preparation across the four pots, allowing the excellent organic boost in the root system that Raimil provides and giving this seedling start the amount of nutritious water that the heat, even indoors, demands. Additionally, the substrate was prepared with mycorrhizae, trichoderma, nitrogen-fixing bacteria, and a whole array of agents like bat guano in the deeper areas of the pots to gain phosphorus, potassium, and of course, nitrogen from the start, along with the action of fulvic and humic acids; a residual amount of bone meal for calcium and iron, and also including microelements of lesser availability. Thus, the base is a living one, to which only organic nutrition from the new generation of Biobizz will be added, along with some old tricks, like the occasional use of enzymes and Kelp as agents for medium regulation throughout the grow. So, another season, and let's see very soon. I would love to provide you with gradual updates on the integration of each of the strains we've started to develop. For now, the Mr. Hide Auto Mimosas are already seedlings and will be considered week 1... while the others will only be considered when the seeds open and the cotyledons allow the seedling's outline to begin its development, and thus the strain will be considered OK, and I'll add a new palette to the Late Summer Autoflowering 2024 season.
