Today’s date is June 11th, it has been 6 days since my last update. So far the Dolomite lime seemed to have helped with the yellowing of my fan leaves and the only “yellow” ones left look like they have a fade to them but I’m not sure if it’s due to proximity of the harvest or from the magnesium deficiency I had earlier. Either way I have to be more on top of my nutrients and my macros too. They chunked up a decent size and the branches are even toppling over from their density! Trellis was definitely needed for this one. Nothing special but watering when needed, temps have been as high as 84 and as low as 67, I’m really trying to master the environment but due to my location it’s getting harder to do so without hoping I don’t blow a fuse with all my equipment running, haha. Overall I’m happy so far and hopefully next run I’ll dial in more perfectly, if you have any tips for me please share!

We started the 8th week of flowering, the time of harvest is approaching, this last week we will use flawless finish to clean the plants of nutrients before cutting them. Possibly a week of flowering extra would be good, but in this case I will cut them after 8 weeks. Checked TDS PPM on 24 June, the reading originally started at 1290, was now 455, so I decided to change solution earlier than scheduled. Checked TDS PPM on 27 June and the reading was 390. So the nutrient solution was changed again. Larger plants consume much more nutrients and may require a modified feeding schedule. I’ll just observe and see how she does. Some plants are sensitive to this. Again I’m talking about DWC specifically. Her smell has intensified this week, defined by a pineapple scent! It truely does! Last week of flowering and will be cut !!! Very well formed by dense heads along the branches. I just cut one top of the plant and it gave very good results! I smell the fruit! I have made some flush due to nutrients that i gave during flowering...💪

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. 7/12: Back from Vacay. Plant has doubled in size. Definitely has been drinking. Drunk a half gallon in 4 days. Started nutrient schedule. Refilled reservoir with half gallon of nutes that I mixed in a gallon jug then split to a half gallon jug. Poured whole half gal jug of treated water in reservoir which brought it back to the first line (2 Gallons). Bumped light intensity to 40%. ***** For this Grow****** “Day Air Temperature” will be the max temp of tent for the week. “Substrate Temperature” will be the average temp of tent for the week. “Night Air Temperature” will be the lowest temp of the tent for the week.

The Fat Banana plant focuses its energy on bud development within the minigrow box. Buds start to form, and we closely monitor and adjust the lighting and nutrients.

Room continues to pump out growth. HEat and humidity were an issue this week, but was managed with multiple garden visits and some air diversion. Extremely impresed with all genetics in the garden and there has not been any growth issues to date. 5 weeks complete, another 5 more to smoke. Thanks for following. Day 73: finally starting to bulk up a little bit. This is because the leaves gets hotter as i increase the light's power output. The Gorilla Kush #2 and the Chemdog #2 are showing some heat stress. Installed a valve on the autopot from the Kush #2. This is because its weight is higher then the other pots. Before i watered them i weigh the pots. Dry weight: Gorilla Kush #1: 4.4 kg Gorilla Kush #2: 6.0 kg Added 10L to the reservoir.
