Week 9: Growth, Clones, and Preparing for Buds This week brought some important changes to the grow! The plants stretched significantly, taking advantage of the rainy weather, despite the temperature fluctuations. Overall, the conditions are supporting their development well. Notes: I made a few more clones, and so far, all of them are thriving. It's exciting to see a 100% survival rate for the clones so far. Out of the 12 plants, I identified three males. Two of them have started opening their pollen sacs, and I’ve begun collecting. The pollen is being stored in the freezer for future breeding projects. I did a light defoliation to improve light penetration to the lower branches, which should help promote even growth.

End of course for this Persian Prince project! Unfortunately, he failed to cut short this flowering a few days in advance following the start of a pest attack. Our two beautiful ones would have certainly enjoyed crunching life with full roots for another week, but prudence forced us to cut a little prematurely. Never mind, our flowers have dried for 10 days and are now ready to begin their maturing period in a jar. Despite these conditions, which are very well known to them, our Persian Princes still present impressive characters: the buds are huge, covered with a thick layer of trichomes and very fragrant. In terms of flavors, cheesy dominates 🧀 the two phenos smell strongly of semi-roller/Emmental style hard cheese, definitely the dominant aroma, for one of our two plants it is the only aroma that I am capable of to raise. The other phenotype is more complex, on the salty-cheesy smell a fresher and tangy/lemony smell is superimposed, very pleasant and different from its sister and at the same time linked to it by its common dominant cheesy aroma. Day 35-42 Plants are making a nice comeback (d36) Some minor defoliation around the top was done during the last few days (d32-36) I plan on increasing DLI to 40+ during next week. Some defoliation + LST/leaf tucking + pinching (d38) #3 has comeback nicely and has a unique phenotype compared to the 3 others (d38) #4 has slowed down a little bit. The soil was more dry so maybe a lack of water/nutes intake (d38)

An in to soil she and her sister testers go, i know that for know everything looks the same , apart from the photos, but this will start changing with them growing. For now all of them are growing pretty much the same and now that they move in to soil and start feedings they will start showing the phenotype and genetic differences, but for now all looking great , healthy and strong af!!! Maybe the last week? I'm watching the hairs and plenty of white hairs remaining. Buds don't look "ready", not even worth scoping. I'm on the flush, was running "Flawless Finish" but switched to straight water. I'll also be watching the leaves for yellowing as the nutrients begin to be used up by the plant.

Accidentally ripped off a branch during some stress training, totally my fault completely could have been avoided. Other than that she seems healthy what do you guys think? I have had a few gnats flying around it though and dried the soil out as much as I could before giving it another water. A lot more white hair progression this week.
