Trichomes: The Frosty Frontier This week, the focus is all about those frosty beauties! • Trichomes are the key indicators of ripeness and cannabinoid production. Watching their progression from clear to cloudy to amber provides the ultimate insight into maturity. • Currently, we’re seeing a fantastic mix of cloudy trichomes with some clear still hanging around – a perfect sign that they’re gearing up for their final push. • Fun fact: Trichomes serve as the plant’s natural defense mechanism, protecting it from UV rays and pests while being our treasure trove for cannabinoids and terpenes. Spectrum Tuning: The Science of Light Light plays a major role in shaping the maturation process, and this week, we’ve dialed in the spectrum for optimal results. did some LST to this girl. We were in the middle of a mini drought but we did get 6mm of rain yesterday. So that will help with growth a lot. I also watered them with a whopping 9 gal each day before the rain. So I am expecting some excellent growth over the coming week. Ive been looking for an inexpensive source of granulated humic and fulvic acids if anyone knows of a source in southern Ontario.

GENERAL COMMENT. WEEK 4 OF FLOWER. The week ran smooth, girls keep on growing well, my soil is becoming a bit compact, i usually use clay pellets mixed but this time i when straight with the soilless mixture, 50% Mosses and 50%p Perlite, with no organic correction so is inert, a pro is that you don’t see bugs such as gnats, till now. For the moment @B4RNS gave a nice idea on how to improve the aeration by using a knitting needle, to poke the soil, and that was easy to do, with minimal damage. Is a regular plastic pointy stick. Had putted up the lamp to around 40cm from the canopy. EC continues at 3.1, and added overdrive to the feed, lowered the B-52. Cal mag more diluted 1ml/l one time a week only. STRESS KILLER COMMENT. All good and easy, super strong, getting nice and fat, and this week she started to produce some trichomes, yummy! Smell is very citrus oriented, and enjoyable, super fruity with a touch of acid. Would like to super crop the top but as she is doing her thing very nice decided to keep that way as the NL also has a upper canopy and the lamp is one wouldn’t t do much.

Started giving nutrients, up to 300-350 ppm. Having temperature problems, it's too hot outside 34-36 degrees Celsius. This causes problems inside the box, mostly for water inside hydroponics. Have to use frozen bottles of water two times per day.

Flower day 31 - Having a little trouble with the temperature getting higher than I would like because my dehumidifier puts off some heat while it’s running so it’s been a constant struggle to keep the environment in this tent stable! Definitely will not have so many plants next run lol, but all in all the ladies are growing great & I can’t wait to see how they turn out! Flowering day 34 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The buds have developed incredibly nicely this week. The smell is getting more and more extreme :-) . The growth has slowly stopped as the full energy goes into the production of the buds. Watering was done twice this week, each time with 1.2 l (nutrients see table above) They were individually inspected and checked for their health. One of the last days of 2x 16 colas and 2x 4 colas mainlining 4 month growing. Jamaican Dream and Green crack potted together and the experiment was successful. Three Blue kings was stressed in vegetative period by iron excess and overwatering. This is the reason that lower buds did not developed better. Amherst Sour diesel have one of the biggest buds I have ever seen. Jamaican Dream should be developed smaller, like Green Crack, but 100% sativa genetics showed it's greatness. Green Crack was growing like Jamaican Dream in vegetative period, but in flowering period its growing was slowly and now it has become very thick and full of buds. My growing box is very cheap but I tried maximum of my budget. 600w HPS is one of the greatest lamp for indoor growing. At flowering stage I have increased 600w to Super Lumens on my digital ballast for maximum yield. Main mistake is that I have used very cheap and primitive pots and soil was not enough good too. In these days I'll cut diesel and kings tops, because they are almost ready and lower buds need 7-12 more days to be ready for harvest.

6/12 Thunderstorms turned to sun Plants are growing substantially. The ones that were damaged from the sun have pulled out of it. I checked the fim I did on a gmo that later burned and it has five tops! I took a couple videos bur I'll have to wait until tomorrow to upload them. Despite the weather severity and inconsistencies I'm in a really good spot. I'll upload the two videos tomorrow when I'm in a better area. Wifi is far to slow. 6/13 Rained yesterday before turning to hot sun. Supposed to be in the 90s today. Due to the rain and storms we've been having I hacebt had to water. Soil is still moist. Plants seem to be growing at a great pace. With all this rain they've gotten a hearty dose of the nutes in my soul mix and then when the sun comes out and they bask for a few hours they look considerable bigger. Another storm coming up but other than that weather is good. Plants are happy and doing well. 6/14 Plants are loving this hot weather. Rainy then it will clear up and be sunny. All plants have recovered from the shock of the weather and are growing like crazy. Ice started some lsting. I haven't even had to water. 6/15 Medium is still damp. I don't think we'll get much rain the next few days but we've gotten a lot lately. I'll continue playing it by ear. The water lasts much longer with the smaller plants in lather containers. Later in the summer I could be watering daily. If there is no rain I'll allow the bags to dry out and I'll water them. I may start them on a small nutrient schedule like the fox farm organic one you use for the entirety. I've hesitated though because my soil is chock full of nutrients and they show no sighs of deficiencies. I'll keep an eye on it. They look great though. 9/16 Watered after church. 3 1/2 gallons so approximately a half gallon each. Iys been really hot and i dont see rain in the forecast. Also broke the gmo that I fimmed right at a topping point. It wasnt wilted, and I ran and grabbed duct tape and fixed it. I've had good luck in the past this way. Hopfully I will this time as well. Still sucks though 9/17 The plant that split at the V that I taped up seems to be doing just fine. Looks just like the other top next to it. Thank God. Things seem to be going well. I'm wondering if I should start giving nutrients but I don't see any deficiencies and I know this soil mix lasts pretty much through veg without showing signs of deficiencies. I think it might be a case of "if it's not broke don't fix it." I'll look back on diaries and I'll do some research. 9/18 It's overcast but it's been in the upper 80's. I checked the plants around 11 and they looked good. They'll need water but I'm holding off until the morning. The plant I broke at the crook shows no signs of wilting or any negative effects. I assume it will come back stronger. I was thinking about watering tonight but at 12 there was still a little moisture. They will be fine until morning. Plants seem bigger every day.

Day 15 - The start of week 3 and the girls are really taking off, from 1-2 Inches of vertical growth daily. Consuming a good amount of water, almost leaving the bucket empty. lol. Lightly defoliating to keep the bud sites exposed to light, as they get bushy very fast and recovery is only taking a day for them to bounce back. Pretty happy with how things are going right now. Slightly increased the EC by .2 but not enough to burn them.. which is the goal. Grateful for my trolmaster unit as it has made keeping tracking of my parameters much easier and effortless. Day 16- Topping up the res with RO water every two days. Otherwise I'm sure it would be empty! Pistils are showing and the bud sites are very visible. Seeing one pheno with slightly more sativa dominant traits. Luckily I took clones so I can run the best pheno next time around, although all these plants are special. Still going through the flower stretch. Excited for what is to come. Stay tuned for the results. Day 18 - As you can see, the difference is night and day over a period of 2 days they have had an explosion of growth. They were heavily defoliated on day 17 and bounced back within a day. Definitely glad I picked this one to KO first since it’s an easier strain since I’m still trying to learn the whole organics thing but a few more and I should be able to produce something a little better I hope lol

Stretch slowing down, secured the existing net for some support and to help with LST. Stretch has slowed down for sure. budlets beginning to form. Did a heavy top dress of Gaia Green, 13 TBSP Power Bloom to 7 TBSP All Purpose, mixed with a few scoops of compost. When I pulled back the mulch to top dress I snapped a few pics and videos of the soil, wow, SO much life it's incredible, one giant heap of life. I find mixing top dress with compost lets gives the roots something to adhere to, and nothing like increasing that root zone! Kept up with some light defoliation and LST with some bud clips and netting, not much else to do but wait! All the excess trim from defoliation and nearly everything you see in the background will get mulched up and added in the fall for next years crop. Circle of life yo! Had some very very minor Powdery Mildew on some fan leaves after we have some 95% humidity roll through, I had company so skipped a spraying of Lactobacillus, and it showed. If you haven't tried it, it's EASY to make and it works wonders, plants love it as a foliar spray or a root soak, I use molasses to keep it stable, so it's double good for flowering time. This will HAVE to get harvested end of September regardless, that gives me 7 weeks from now, so here's hoping for that FastBuds "Fast Flower" action.

Overall grows with ease and with the right conditions can produce beautifull flowers and colours as it begins its fade into harvest... Such a shame too see the bud rot as the colours began too come through as she was at the end of her cycle with all trichomes clear let's hope the few buds I've managed too save are okay too review the flower 👌💚
