12/26-12/28/20: So I have no idea what to expect. I just hope moving the light farther away was a good idea! I've had to turn the fan on a couple of times to bring the 82F temp down and now it's creeping back down. 12/29/20: Still no growth and I can't maintain the humidity above 45%. I placed a piece of saran wrap over the pot to help it retain some water. I also moved the 1000w lamp a little farther away and I have the fan running. I also need to figure out the exhaust set up. Too daunting. 12/30/20: The cherry finally popped and I can see ole girl starting to break the surface. Adding the saran wrap helped with the moisture and this morning was the result. The temp still seems a be high (81F) and the humidity still isn't maintaining (~51%). I watered the seedling a bit and spray twice a day. It's currently back under the wrap. 1/2/21: Ole girl Salisi is growing slowly, but strong. I added a humidifier from Target to maintain the humidity between 40-60%. Temperature still lingers around 82F, but I think that's ok:🤷:. 1/4/21: Salasi is growing with purpose now! Two more days until she graduated to the big pot. I moved her inside of a nursery with vents open and gave her a full watering. RT: 82F, RH 62%. 1/9: Salasi's looking ok but I'm concerned about stem length. I just sprayed inside the nursery and a couple spritzes to the top soil. I'm concerned about thinning?

I have a 1000w watt led lamp and I'm currently doing a 24h schedule at 24 inches away. The temperature has ranged from 63-82 and the humidity 25-48%. Is this distance away from the seed good enough?

I have a 3-chip 1000W LED with a max output of 180w (Veg 125w, Bloom 55w): I'm growing autos in a 2x4x6 tent. I'd like to grow 3 plants at a time. Do I need another grow light? Will the one I have suffice?

You'll need a second to cover flowering. Would be fine if your just vegging. 🤘😤

Is my stem thinning or am I being paranoid? Tomorrow will be day 10 when I move her over to the big girl pot. Does the grow look ok?

She's just plugging along. I haven't done anything other than make sure she isn't thirsty using a soil tester and maintaining the right RH and Temps. The guidelines I'm using are: Seed/Veg: Temp 70-85 (F); Humidity 40-60% Flowering: 65-80 (F); 40-50%

She's still plugging along! On 1/8/21 I started an 18h/6h schedule (12a-6a). I haven't done anything other than trying to stabilize RH and Temp. It's been tricky balancing how much mist versus fan circulation of air to make sure the temp doesn't get too hot from the lamp or too damp. I'm trying to avoid dew on the leaves once the light kicks back on at 6a. Oh, there were a couple of days where the lamp was on Bloom and I couldn't figure out why the tent was so damn hot! OPE Oh one more: I sprayed the leaves with Leaf Shine Mix (helps protect leaves and stem from mites and other pests) every 5-6 days. The tent now has a regular desk fan blowing air through a lower vent, another fan zip-tied in a corner with the goal of cooling the tent and circulating air inside. I'm broke...don't judge me!

4w3d- Today I became a big girl with a not as popular but it will do for me Mars Hydro TSW2000. It's about 18 inches about the canopy turned all the way down. Some yellow leaves near the soil. It may be time to flip? pH isn't great but I'll test the ppm next time she's watered (she was watered today). 3w2d-Lookit ole girl Selassie! I feel like she's a little stubby but what can you do:🤷: This is actually 3wks and 2 days. I took a stab at FIMming and I started some LST. The bendy clips I bought from some Facebook dude for $5. Please tell me that I didn't fuck this up. Is she bent weird? UGH

I'm interested in picking this up. Thoughts? I have a 2x4x6 tent. I believe it's 50w x 8sqft is 400 watts needed? https://www.amazon.com/iPower-Digital-Dimmable-System-Reflector/dp/B006GGP8P4/ref=sr_1_2?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Plant+Growing+Light+Fixtures&qid=16110

Hoi! 😉 🌱

2021-01-30: Today starts week 5 and it appears everything is going downhill. These copper spots started appearing around 2021-01-28, and the wilting leaves started 2021-01-29. The newest additions to the environment were the much stronger MarsHydro 300w light and the introduction of nutrients. Up until a couple of days ago, I'd been using filtered tap water or purified water. I switched to distilled water 2-3 days ago. I've had to water 1-2 times a day, having a hard time keeping the heat down and the humidity up. I haven't quite got the hand of measuring pH and PPM.

6w2d - I made the mistake of feeding nutrients to already nutrient-rich soila couple of days ago. The plant has looked dry and terrible ever since. I also wonder if it's due to heat stress?

7w1d (50 days) - She had a good feed last week after a week of overfeeding disasters. Gave another water feed today with Cal-Mag. I think it was determined that the leaf discolorations may have been due to exposing her to too much light too soon instead of gradually increasing the lamp. Lesson learned! Definitely starting to stink a little more and I'm glad the leaves feel less like sandpaper now! Update: decided to get rid of some of those ugly leaves.

Selassie is coming along! A bit shorter than I expected but it's probably the size of the pot. I'm only feeding pH'd tap water with Cal-Mag. The next water or two will be plain oh'd water. Apparently, it's supposed to grow another foot over the next month before harvesting. I also have been defoliating, removing scarred, dead, or yellow leaves. I'll see it when I believe it!

We've hit 9 weeks, so I'm just trying to keep my eye on the color transitions of the pistils until HARVEST TIME. I'm thinking 2-3 weeks? I figured out that I have been pHing my water too low at 5.9-6.2. Apparently, the ideal ph is 6.2-6.8, which is what I did for the past 2 feeds. Selassie requires feeds every 1-2 days.

I'm guessing there are 2 weeks to go? The trichomes still look mostly clear, but the amber is definitely creeping up. I may have started flushing too soon because the ingoing ppm almost matches the outgoing ppm. Trying not to miss the first harvest date! I'm going to purchase a USB microscope to take better trichome pics.

How long until harvest time? I think I'm currently in the 6th week of flower, so I'm assuming another 2 weeks. Tricomes still look clear/slightly cloudy. I gave a 1.5L fertilizer and cal mag feed on 3/10/21. I'm guessing straight pH'd water from here on out?

Hey there New Jack, This genetic basically takes about 12 to 13 weeks to harvest , breeders say less, but you have to be a bit more patient i'm afraid ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi there, here’s my rule of thumb for harvesting period.During that time, the leaves will show deficiencies, yellowing and most of the white pistils become orange. The best method is using 60x microscope and check trichomes colour on buds.If trichomes are mostly milky/cloudy about 80/90 % and fill with some amber colour, it’s the time to harvest.Flushing or not flushing is your choice.Happy growing... ✌️

Picked up a wireless microscope from Amazon and I was able to take better pictures of trichomes. Trichs are looking a bit cloudy but I'm going to wait for a bit more amber. Gave a cal-mag feed today.

12w2d (86d) today and she's looking pretty hearty and trichomes are pretty milky. I'm waiting for a few more amber trichomes for a nice even high and prepping for harvest. She needs to cook for another week. I've been feeding straight pHed water...basically flushing. I just learned that I should keep checking run-off, when they reach 1.0 EC (500 ‘TDS/PPM’) (NOW) start feeding again with 1/4 - 1/2 strength bloom fert’s, no booster, just regular 1-6-4 or a 5-15-15 or 5-15-10 at 0.8 - 1.0 EC.

13w3d - So my first plant kid is graduating to the harvest phase. Right now she's sitting in a dark cabinet until I'm ready to start harvesting (i.e. getting my supplies/shit together). I definitely learned a lot from this grow and I hope it's only upwards from here. Excited for the next phase!

I cured for a month and it's not bad for a first grow. The nugs are way too fluffy and most of the terpenes were lost. The fluffy nugs are likely from the tent being too hot too often. Next time I will do a dry trim for comparison. Lots of lessons learned!
