Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 6 2/9-15 The Cheese gals are in full flower, the buds are puffing out and stacking. I even see some lower buds connecting to the upper buds and some pistils are turning brown. There is some smell when I open the tent. The F1 genetics are reflected in that these 2 plants are almost identical. I don’t see much difference in their growth so far using the different mediums. Soil and soil/coco blend. Maybe harvest will show a difference in yield from each one. Time will tell. On 2/13 I did major defoliation on my Cheese gals. I removed all large fan leaves and any leaves shading bud sites. Initially, I thought this would be my last defoliation, however I have heard that 1) they continue to grow new leaves until day 20 of flower and 2) there must be enough foliage on the plant to photosynthesize energy. Well, I hope I left enough leaves for energy to keep bulking up the buds. Stretching has slowed down. Both girls grew only an inch and now 17 inches. This is only the end of flower week 2. Controller is set to flower. I add 2 gallons of water to the T700 humidifier daily to keep the VPD in line. 2/9 & 11 4 gal fed 2 liter each nutrients added at ½ of recommended amount. Making 4 gallons since I have 2 pots of carrots and a Dill in the back. The bud sites are just covered in tricomes, I had my magnifying glass out to check the colour and most are milky but not as much as I thought by going by the pistol coloring, as they are mostly brown. There is a more of a spicy dank smell to her now and the fan leaves have mostly died or are close to dying. Hopefully I can start the flush process soon but will not do this till I'm happy with the tricome colouring.

The Green Gelato has been a great success although i have been using this time as a bit of experiment the results are clear. While i have two plants that are ready for harvest both are looking extremely tasty, the third one in the smallest pot although it has huge top colas i would say its at least another week if not two away from being ready to harvest. I am now flushing these through ready for a great smoke. Thank you to everyone who has liked this diary fingers crossed next post will be results and review. 😌

Day 65: All good they are stinky and getting ready soon. BlackBerry Kush and LSD-25 will be harvested in 2 weeks so I started flushing them. Rest of them need more time at least 3 weeks or 4. Water intake 200 ml a day no more fertilization for Balckberry Kush and LSD-25. 600W LED, 18 hours on 6 hours off humidity is low approx 35 percent.

Amazing, she totally resined until her big leaves were covered with ice, something beautiful her scent of vanilla something fruity with sweet indicates that her care was well associated with her so, the most of this girl we can hope for.

Super strong strain, large yields and production without much investment or maintenance, really happy with her, she turned out to develop 15% thc, having low consumption lights im more than satisfied

Week 3 begins for LSD and Green Crack. Both ladies are looking good, but had some small signs of deficiency. Added big bud coco and upped feeding another liter (split feed day 1 & day 5 of each week), hopefully this will help resolve the deficiencies. Thanks for stopping by growfessors 👽🌳💚

Day 36 she keeps stretching and looks very happy i'm also very happy because soil PH is finally good, now it's 6.5PH after watering with 5.2 PH'ed water(with nutes in it) for the last several waterings. Light is 30cm away from the canopy ~850 PPFD Cut some leaves from center of the canopy for better air circulation and light penetration. Day 38 : watered with 2.5 L of water with nutes and 5.6 PH water, runoff water PH is now perfect 6.5 Day 39: She's been stretching very well, can't wait to deflate already(maybe tomorrow) Day 40: deefoliation day finally has come! And i'm so happy how she turned out after all. I did some LST to even out canopy for better light penetration and air movement! Note: she uses much Calcium - Magnesium (cal-mag) soo you definitely need to add it in your water.

There is a timelapse of this past week! This plant, the blueberry, is in the background. Early this week I transplanted the rock wool cube into my DWC system. I pH'd the water, but otherwise did not provide nutes for a few days. The grow tent is now on an 18hr light period. Sometime in the middle of this past week, this blueberry started wilting! In response, I provided the nutrients listed above, with the addition of 1 gallon of (hard) tap water to provide calcium. Unlike my GSC, the nutrients did not fix the wilting, but the wilting did go away after 2-3 days. I had some humidity troubles, so I resorted to flooding the bottom of my tent. This does seem to help maintain humidity around 50% RH. This plant is growing asymmetrically! It's first set of "real leaves" is not even. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Welcome to Day 57 2/12/21 it's 35 days into flower and she is looking good. I have seen lots of growth and she looks healthy. I have just realized that I have been doing the rez wrong all along but I think I can fix the mistake without dumping the rez. I should have been mixing a new rez every week but instead I was just adding 18 L . I put 2 18L bottles in the rez when it should only be 1 that way I have less waste and keep the nutes fresh that's all for this week's update so as always Happy growing and keep your stick on the ice 🙏

So, with these interesting times and what is becoming a fast evolving global catastrophe. I, myself, along with the rest of you ( I hope ) can take some solace in looking after our gardens, to have some peace away from the news, to give our ladies the best care we are able to provide 🌱 If you ever needed any vindication or validation as to why growing your own is best. More than half the world currently in lockdown, and with MJ in short supply, our actions speak for themselves! Anyway, back to this diary. I done a lot of work on the room, invested a lot and tried to make everything as automated as possible. Everything runs on smart plugs, the hydroponic system is DIY and is RDWC which is cooled with a Hailea 150a. 6 plants is what I am going for this time, with a shorter veg length compared to the last grow. I prefer to wait until they show their sex, but if they don’t by week 5, I plan on flipping anyway all being well. I am using 730nm LED’s that come on 15 mins before lights on, turn off during lights on, and then they come back on when lights go out, and stay on for 15 mins. This should enable me to run 13/11 during flower with little risk. I am also going to add a UVB fixture to my custom rig which will only be used during the final 2 weeks of flower. I have 3 Alibaba lights attached to a custom rig, they really are awesome lights. I tested the room out with an Apogee SQ-520 par meter (PAR map in pics). I have dimmed them down, so PAR is around 500 across the whole canopy, this will be increased to 1000 once they’re flipped. I vent from my house, to the room and then outside, this increases the CO2 in the room, which I think helped the yields on the last grow, generally CO2 hovers between 470 and 700 PPM. My ladies look a little sick, but tbh, I struggle starting out in Rockwool, and things usually correct themselves within a couple weeks. With the quarantine I have struggled to pick up a humidifier that is capable of maintaining that room, so it has been all over the place since the start. I have opted to go with Royal Gorilla this cycle, let’s see if it’s as potent as RQS says that it is! Good luck all and take care...
