This girl is coming along really nicely I'm really pleased with how she had turned out for my first ever grow. I have noticed this week she is starting to get a lot more of purple colour to her stem and branches she looks amazing. Her buds are are looking really frosty and are nicely dense I can't wait to try them! This week I have started the full flush by doing a full reservoir change to just water at ph 6.2 - 6.5 and will continue to add just water untill harvest. Happy growing 🌱

These ladies were heavy yielding - just wish the PK booster did not stunt them, I feel they could have even been larger, the buds are sweet and sticky, they smell amazing, they are hard and resinous - they have a beautiful mix of dark and light shades of green with bright orange hairs, very pretty, my friends are already in love with this weed, hits you like a Sativa and as the high lingers mellows like an Indica, I can't, wait to grow this again! The is an urban legend that occasionally a purple strain emerges, and when it does the outcome is legendary, just another reason to try this strain!

Girls are getting to starting to have a smell not too strong

Hey growers! Another week down and everything’s running smoothly. The plants look happy, growing nicely, and smelling amazing. They handled the defoliation without any problems and keep growing strong. I also added another oscillating fan on the floor to keep the air moving well. Peace and happy growing! ✌️

She has a flowery, herbal, sweet smell. She grew the biggest in the run. Nice purple colors were coming out. Very frosty, and smells great. Day 43 - First day of week 7 today and she looks really good just not sure if she’s really starting to flower yet. I’m hoping this is just typical of the GC strain. Day 44 - No major changes, she’s growing and I’m loving the looks of her. Will continue uploading daily pictures. Day 45 - She’s looking really good and budding more and more each day. Gave her straight pH’d water today and tomorrow and will give her another feeding on Saturday. She’s drinking almost a gallon of water a day. Day 46 - Things are looking good with this girl. Bud sites are growing daily and this thing is a beauty. Gave her another feeding of just pH’d water and will “feed” her tomorrow. Day 47 - ALL is looking good and she’s looking purdy. Gave her a feeding with the foxfarm nutes today. Did a true measurement to the biggest branch and she’s at 25.5”. Will continue to measure each day to see how much she’s growing in a 24 hour period. Day 48 - Looking gorgeous and still stretching. Grew another two inches and is sitting at 27.5” right now. She’s really starting to fill in now and looking forward to the next few weeks. Day 49 - The way thing thing is growing, she’s gonna be a beast. Gave her straight pH’d water tonight and will give her a feeding tomorrow. Looks like she finally stopped stretching, sitting at 27.5” still so hopefully she’ll start putting on the weight.

This plant is my 3th attempt, trying to find a specific taste I'm searching since I started to grow, in 2020. Plant just been harvested. Now it gonna need some more weeks of drying and curing, before I can finally evaluate the taste 😍 So, for now, I can only talk about the grow, and I'll edit my diary later. 10 weeks of flowering (total 20 weeks), this was a long run! Royal Queen Seeds say that strain usually take 7 to 9 weeks of flowering. Mine took a bit longer. She was absolutely the easiest plant I ever grown. She never shown big sign of deficiencies. She germinated fast (seed direct to the pot). I applied main-lining method (Nebula's / Topping at node 3, then node 3 again) and performed LST during the growth. She perfectly dealt with it, never slowed by the toppings. I remember that she took less than 10 hours to recover from second topping, and re-allign every branchs to the light, after LST. This was insane to me. I did some mistakes during the grow : 1) Excess of Biobizz - Fishmix during grow, until early flowering. This been fixed by following the advices from @AsNoriu who suggested to transplant the Queen to a new pot. So she moved from a 16L to a 30L during 2nd week of flowering. This was risky, it's not really recommended to transplant during flowering.... But the risk at to be taken. And she totally did good. One week later, she was looking way more healthy. 2 weeks later, she was on fire!!! 2) I brook the main cola, same week than the transplant. I was trying to apply the LST again. A bit too much of tension, and Crack! Quickly fixed. The plant don't even realized. She don't slowed bad signs, and continued to grow perfectly. She spent some weeks outdoor during Veg. And this is how i got some thrips problem during end of veg. I sprayed black soap, then water, and then Biobizz - Leafcoat. This got rid of mainly all thrips. I was still seeing one or two begining of flowering, so I continued to use water and biobizz - Leafcoat. But as she was flowering, she started to get totally covered of trichomes, even on fan leaves, and under the leaves. Thrips had no chance there. So the plant ended this problem by herself, and I don't had to spray anything during flowering, and never saw thrips again ^^

End of the third week of the stretch and they certain out did stretch indeed😳. Had to crop over the tallest female - she just stretched wayyy too much and that’s gonna go against her in the rankings when we draw out our seed on each plant. The first male has dropped fully and the others are another 1-2 days out from harvest. We’ll collect all that pollen and store it for future use if it’s needed. The plants are all showing both similarities and differences - there’s an even distribution of sativa and indica leaning phenos which suggests that there is def. Some variability in terms of traits for this F1 generation. Exactly what we were looking for as we pare this down to the second filial generation. On the overall growth - absolutely no issues at all with nutritional deficiencies which is a welcome change of pace. The last while we’ve been growing some strains that have shown very odd reactions to nute changes and I suspect this is a result of certain strains simply being bred out too far. Hard to say but the radar is definitely up with the well known breeders right now. We have some real winner pheno clones that we’ve rooted and will be flowering out once we get this tent cleaned up and free of pollen. All told, the run is progressing much better than anticipated and with the rate of turnover through transition, I’m happy to say that there isn’t any one plant I won’t consider test running on the next cycle. We did have some og auto genetics in the tent for pollination as well but that plant is looking like a bit of a mutant. Not sure if we’ll even bother with testing it at this point but you never know. Expect a harvest update on the males as we move in to the flowering side of the grow and then it’s just waiting around for seed👍. Alls well for now. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Week 4

Es war eine sehr gemischte Woche mit viel Regen, etwas Sonne und eine Menge Wind. Die Durban Poison lässt sich davon wenig beeindrucken, sie ist am Stock festgebunden, steht kerzengerade und lässt ihre Buds weiter anschwellen. Leider habe ich bei sehr genauem Hinsehen doch ein welkes verdrehtes Blatt in einer Blüte gefunden und dieses mit der Blüte sofort entfernt. Weiteres Untersuchen brachte aber keine weiteren beginnenden Schimmelstellen zum Vorschein. 100% schommelfrei ist sie also nicht... Das Wetter ist jedoch sehr schimmelförderlich zur Zeit. Ich freue mich schon auf die Ernte, in ca. zwei Wochen dürfte es soweit sein und und dann benötige ich viiiel Platz zum Trocknen. Die DP ist dieses Jahr etwas kleiner als im Jahr davor, was sicherlich an der Düngemenge im Topf in der Vegetationsphase liegt. Entscheidend wird sein, ob das Entlauben etwas am Erntergebnis verbessern wird. Letztes Jahr hatte ich mehr Blätter an der Pflanze gelassen. Vielen Dank für den Besuch mit besten Wünschen für eine schimmelfreie Woche! 😀 --- It was a very mixed week with lots of rain, some sun and a lot of wind. The Durban Poison is not particularly affected by this; it is tied to the stake, stands straight as a die and continues to swell its buds. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, I did find a wilted, twisted leaf in one of the flowers and immediately removed it along with the flower. Further examination revealed no other signs of mould. So it's not 100% mould-free... However, the weather is very conducive to mould at the moment. I'm looking forward to the harvest, which should be ready in about two weeks, and then I'll need a lot of space for drying. The DP is a little smaller this year than last year, which is certainly due to the amount of fertiliser in the pot during the vegetation phase. The decisive factor will be whether defoliation will improve the harvest yield. Last year, I left more leaves on the plant. Thank you very much for visiting and best wishes for a mould-free week! 😀
