The Sensi Seeds Research breeding project has created eleven cannabis seed varieties. How? By combining new cannabis cultivars with a selection of strains from their long-established cannabis gene bank. For the first time in thirty-six years, they are opening the doors of the Sensi Seeds Research and Development Department. Week #12 Week #3 of flowering, having some issues with 2 ladies. I haven’t been able to check the room during 4 days, one plant has a Nitrogen excess, and the other one run out of P-K, Mg. Check the video, it’s not often that this situation happens, so let’s learn to diagnose the situation. The plant with banana peels style leaves is a Nitrogen excess, it start with the tips of the leaves pointing down, like claws, then it turns into some old bananas peels looking. The other one, with the crispy looking leaves is a lack of P-K, it starts with some kind of dark brown/purple stripes marks on the leaves with the tips starting to points up + a lack of Mag , the leaf is cupping like a taco shell ! The game now is to loose less yield than possible on those two ladies, but from now it’s already 25% gone .... This is a good example to show that every plants are different, all of them are running on the same diet, all others plants are doing great except those 2. Morality is to check your plants daily, those problems can be fixed before it happens, when you know how to diagnose the primary symptom 😉 Week 3 trimming !!! You must clean your plants legs and cut off all the lil shoots, in the bottom, that haven’t reach the top ! Main goal to keep in mind is to spend all the energy on the top, cleaning the legs will help to avoid wasting energy on the bottom of your plants Once again, Mars-Hydro has definitely improved their performance, the shoots structure of the plants under the SP-250 is amazing. The plants have developed so many shoots compared to the plants under the HID’s , it’s really remarkable ! (I’m looking for a job in the Cannabis industry as Master Grower, Mineralogist, Quality Control)

They seem happy so far, the living soil is a bit more dense than I'm used to so the soil has been taking longer between waterings than I would like. I just gave a deeper watering with 2 liters. And I'm aiming to maintain it with 1 liter every 2-3 days. I add a bit to the bottom first to see if it sucks any water up. And then usually top water the remaining liter.

she really started to grow faster as she went into flowering so I kept the canopy level and installing a electric cable around my tent (remember cheap as possible) and using the pipe cleaner

The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, resulting in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow slower to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. Day 107 The Mars Hydro TS1000 has been at 100% light intensity for 2 days now and the plants seem to be loving the new light. Slowly seeing buds starting to fill in more and more. Day 108 The ladies are both looking wonderful! The bud sites are starting to fill in nicely, the Mars Hydro TS1000 has made a huge difference in progressing flower. Disaster strikes, I find bud rot in a couple of the biggest colas of the centre plant, I remove the colas, salvage what I can, i now understand I have too little airflow for the number of plants in the tent, I am vigilant with looking for more bud rot, which I find in the biggest colas of the small stout indica plant, I presume its mostly indica from its shape, I remove, salvage and begin to dry what I can save I install another more powerful fan on max speed with acoustic duct to keep fan on max speed, I install another fan to blow across the plants 5oo, humidity drops, everything looks good again to go forward, no further signs of bud rot

Whew, what a hot, humid and wet week. Although we had a major storm this week, Zamnesia Mango Kush proved her strength to withstand all of the elements that have continued to be thrown her way. This week I took the time to go the Zamnesia Website and read about some of her characteristics. I wanted to read up on her because I had been giving her Miracle Grow nutrients and didn't feel like she was my best grow. As a result, I have made an executive decision to give her Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice Grow. I am hoping this will help Zamnesia produce great big buds. On another note, My Zamnesia Mango Kush is only 31 inches tall, whereas Zamnesia Seeds says it should boast a height of 39 inches for an outdoor grow. I am excited to see what the next couple of week will produce. Miss Zamnesia Mango Kush has definitely proven to be resilient because we have had some terrible tough weather to deal with during this grow and Mango Kush has stood the test of time. What’s up guys? So.. entering week 8!! What was a dream is now entering in the final stage, from now on only plain water. I reckon I still have about 2 weeks to harvest so I’ve started to feed only water since last friday The lady’s are all going great, still fatting up and they’re looking good and healthy The smell is kinda strong in all of them but the critical + 2.0 is definitely the winner. Smells really citric, and it’s pretty intense The development of trichomes is more evident every day too I’ve also added a new light that I won in a giveaway (lucky bastard) so let’s hope that will help in this final stretch 😎 I’m thinking I could get around 50/60g per plant, what do you guys think? Cheers everyone!!

Day 28: start of week 5 i start to see a cal mag defency on the critical (see the leaf picture) I got no calmag as im very low on cash right now. hope she will do great without it ill put more pictures as the week progresses, the critical finishes at day 50 so theres only 3 weeks left The coockies are now on day 21 Update: Day 31 (see final video on this week) The calmag problem is very visible on one of the critical (bottom left) no too bad, the girl scout cookies had a nice stretch and the leaves gained a lot of size everything Goes well the coockies drink a lot now. Changed res and added the bloom nutes beginning of the week. Big leaf strip and lollipop, although you wouldn’t think it 3 days after. Starting to get a little frost. Looking good.

5/31 Week 10 and the state of the grow is winding up I know Baba looks like hell, her buds are in danger of breaking some of the branches so I have everything kind of falling in on itself supported by bamboo. Harvest Sally and Athena yesterday leaving only Jane Baba and Cleo (my wife's) in the tent so turning down the lights a bit they are getting plenty Water only not much to do till harvest 6/3 Just nothing going on, giving them water Baba seems done now little further hair growth or bulking, harvest in a day or so, real busy with other projects so no promises 6/4 Yield from Sally and Athena wet - 650 grams dry - 151 grams about 5 oz, so with Baba still left to harvest looks like we good for an holiday season grow of this strain next winter. Cannot believe how thick the trics are on these two and the one left is even more frosty. Baba harvest tomorrow not sure about the twin 6/5 Harvest day for Baba only Jane remains Baba wet - 533 grams Running totals so far : Wet - 1188 grams Dry - 151 grams (expect to double this) Looks like we almost matched our numbers on the first two plants as expected. Prob a good 10 ounces on the grow not great but a good grow none the less with 8 months of medicine so this strain is on the schedule for November. Harvest report on Jane harvest , may be a few days she still making bud
