It started out with the usual feed and defoliation and training. With my upcoming vacation, I am going to be hardening off these ladies to relocate to their outside location. I checked the expected weather forecast for the week. Looks good to start hardening off. Partly cloudy with temps in the low to mid 80s just like in their tent. So that’s good. Night temperatures were in the 50-60s. This is much cooler than what they are used to as our house is at 73. They need to get used to what mother nature will provide. Our summers are hot and humid. I had planned to bring the plants back in the sunroom but since conditions were similar, I let them stay outside every night. And every night but 2 it rained. I did not water or feed nutrients this week. I am attempting the scrog technique on all plants. I am using a peony cage as the support structure. The cages are about 2 feet high. This may not be enough side or top support as she grows and may have to resort to tomato cages. Took pics May 6,9, & 11 Opium is a vigorous lady. She will be my glamor girl. She is taller and has the typical sativa structure and has space between the nodes. There is not much leaf growth, so I don’t defoliation much. Her nodes are close but starting to spread out a bit. And here we are with another week just over... And most probably next week I will also chop her down!! In these week probably for the heat stress she got I started seeing some main buds foxtailing. We are in the 10/14 days of plain pHed water, but I'm considering cutting her before the full flush is complete, this cause I can also see some amber trichomes. For now that's all, but now more than ever stay tuned for the next week, which will be most likely the harvest week! Stay high peeps!!

This week growth has been exceptional! They are all stretching nicely and setting flowers. I foliar sprayed Soluable Kelp, ChitoSal and Rubicon Marinis to help transition to flower. All 2 days apart. Added this months top up of Gaia at 1.5 cups of 4-4-4 and 1.5 cups of 2-8-4 as top dressing. They responded very well to this application. Might start adding a few tbsps of each every week from now on. Still adding compost tea once a week. This compost tea I added 2 tbsp of Gaia 2-8-4. Ran out of fish shit. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Roughly 30 gallons of soil inside cages wrapped in plastic about a foot and a half high amended with 3 cups Gaia 4-4-4 and 2 cups Gaia 2-8-4 and 2 cups Gaia Feather Meal 13-0-0. Topped up each month with a cup of each as well as worm casting/soluble kelp/molasses compost tea once a week. Also Fish Shit amendment added at recommended doses. Orange Kush Cake, Cherry Gar-See-Ya, Mac 'n Jack, Crescendo Rbx1 are all Ethos genetics at 25-35% THC Blue Afghan is from Jordan Of The Islands. Recieved clones in the mail in early May. Hey everybody! It's my second grow under my 3x3 grow tent. GreenArchitecture(GA) Grow Tent Phlizon 900W Series (176.5 true watts) Vivosun 4" Carbon Filter Vivosun 5 Gallon Pots Taotronics Humidifier Small cheap Fan (soon to be replaced with a 6") As you guys can see, my carbon filter is not hooked with an exhaust air because it broke down during my 10 day vacation that i had it run on my first grow. I'm gonna replace it as soon as possible. Hope you guys enjoy my new journey :)

Day 80 This morning I started defoliating Tropicana. She will be in the darkness for the next days. I already harvested a part of the head flower and let it dry trimmed. Because of extreme weather conditions and very high humidity I got a little bud rott. I found it out quit early I think. So I hope nothing will not happen any more. Just harvesting relaxed and drink a Tropicana tee. Day 81 I decided to cut her down in the evening. The humidity in the basement room is high and I don‘t want to risk here anything anymore. Waiting for my first homegrown weed to be vaped. Day 82 Tropicanas flowers hanging to dry in my basement. I check them once per day with a strong light. Day 83 Same same. The smell is wonderful like a bit of gas combined with a fruity flower bouquet. Our neighbors in the house like the smell, too. 🙏 Day 84 I could try my first homegrown weed. It‘s absolutely tasty and have a very smooth vape. I was very surprised cause it‘s not cured yet. A longer vape report will follow when it‘s dried and cured. Day 88 All flowers, sugar- and tee leafs are trimmed and filled in glasses for curing. I open twice per day for 20 minutes. Boveda packs 58% inside. I will fill out the rest of the diarie when my buds are dried, cured and vaped. So far this was a very exciting journey for me. Growing cannabis and even legal on our balcony. Feels still a bit unreal, but it’s real! Thank you for reading my diary! Thanks to all the people who worked on legalizing cannabis in Germany, especially to the „Deutscher Hanfverband (DHV)“! Week 9 of Flower and the TKO is just about ripe at 63 days of flower today (5/12). I've never had to time a DWC bucket flush before, so going purely on instinct. Specifically, Trichomes are mostly milky with amber development. I am hoping a 3-5 day flush with ph'd RO water will bring out any potential color AND that Trichomes will continue to ripen bringing amber to about 15-20%. As for the week in review, I'd say pretty uneventful, which is good. Continued daily water and ppm level drops with stable ph range readings - zero wild swings. She's kicking up some incredibly strong sweet gassy smell mixed with that typical Kush aroma. She's frosty with multiple thick medium-to-large ball shaped colas. Looking forward to completing the DWC bucket flush and harvesting the girl. Next couple of posts (i.e., Harvest & Cure) will end this TKO spring 23 run. Have more of these beans from Ganja Farmer Seeds, so looking forward to running her back in the future.
