Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. This plant seems to have grown much denser and better than my first plant. I just got the ac infinity ventilation setup with controller 69 for my 2x2, still trying to learn, hopefully grow #3 goes even better. Stay tuned

Nov. 5 - start of week 6 and she’s Bushn like mad! The fim hasn’t developed as expected at the top growth tip but the undergrowth has sprung up markedly after some selective defo. She’s lookn great and should have some more photos and video up in the next couple days. THANKS FOr checkn er out!👊👍😎 Nov. 6 update - pulled down a few new growth tips and clipped out a little undergrowth. She lookn like a mess and I love it. Still no real plan as to how I’m gonna train er out yet. Thanks for taken my!😎 Nov. 7 update - moved up the tie on what was the main growth tip. She’s bursting out now and just trying to keep the growth height in check with her kush neighbour (cough - won’t happen and my money’s on the kush😉). Nov. 10 update - she’s still bushy as hell. Trimmed a fan leaf to uncover another tip, pulled down and spread out the others including the main stem. Keeping with the 3:1 nute vs. Calmag regimen and no signs of burn at all. LOOKn good!👍 Background This one is gonna be fimmed out and defo’d as a comparative to its manifolded kush sister. They’ll spend a first week or so under a cfl assembly while the last harvest dries out in the cabinet. This is our 2nd grow of an NL strain and this one should be typical of NL in terms of resilience. That said, she’s a former cup winner so we’re hopeful for supreme quality this time around. 👍 Gonna jack up the nute shed. and supplements heavy throughout the grow in the hopes of really testing the limits of my grow space (approx. 2sq/ft). With the coco medium we’re hoping for that 20% bump in yield as well. THANKS for check'n er out

I started germination of 2 Amnesiac Automatic beans on 01/01/2021. HAPPY NEWYEAR! I am germinating them using rockwool cubes and a humidity dome. I pre moistened my plugs with ph balanced water to 6.4 . Than enlarged the pre made holes using a wooden dowel. Than sowed my 2 beans into the holes. I then ripped a small piece of rockwool off each plug and mulched it up. Than lightly filled in the holes using the mulched rockwool. Than it was into the humidity dome to marinate, and complete the germination process. Will likely take roughly 4 days to get some sprouts. Starting my adventure with Spliff Seeds Amnesiac Automatic. After they emerge I will get the plugs planted into 5 gallon pots to rock and roll. Cant fucking wait! Some background information on my experience with Amnesiac auto. I grew 2 of these ladies in one run. This variety stayed in veg for 6 weeks before it made the transition to flower. Produced 2 super branchy plants resulting in a mighty full canopy. Obviously resulting in quite a large yeild. Buds were relatively dense but super chunky! Fat colas were in an abundance. Plants were great height roughly 3 feet, and Not super stretchy. Strain responded well to lst and had no stunting as a result of light bending and manipulation. Very easy going in the nutrient department. Had no trouble at all meeting their dietary needs. Buds were very resinous and unleashed quite a euphoria! I was VERY impressed with the first run. So let's see how the second run goes.

Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. This is the last week of edge then it's time to flip

Now super steady! I need to add way less water than last year (over half a liter a day then), because the eweather is just so cloudy. Just 20°C, max during the day, rarely above and not for long... But it doesn't prevent them to grow fast! Lazarus is a baby that I had put in the filter tank in spring. He spent the autumn and winter in the living room with his bros after I found eggs by september. I thought they had disappeared but there he is! Or maybe it's a joke from a friend...

After upping the nutrients last week and starting to use bloombastic i noticed my ec in the run off starting to rise. Was feeding at 1.8 but getting 2.0 out of two plants and 2.2 from another. Some of the tips have burnt but is very minor. also the slower growing cheese plant had some tips clawing down. so for the next feed i dropped the nutrients completely and just gave 5ml of bloombastic per 10 litres in phd water it had ec of 0.5. plants seem fine and back on feeding intake being 1.5 and run off around the same. i think the sweet spot for these is around 1.5/1.6 ec. Buds are fattening up nicely but the blue cheese is no where near as frosty as the cheese and the cheese has so many buds growing on it its amazing me especially after snapping the top half around week 4 defiantly my favourite baby

The buds got frosty fast 1ml/l calmag and 1.3grams/liter drypart bloom

Got a TDS meter at the end of this week. This lady is also in full on flower!!! I just love seeing the pistols, I am also catching a small bit of smell during a small period when the lights come on! She is starting to spread out and even out well. I dont think she is to great for LST, or at least she should be started a bit towards the end middle of week 3 or the end even. She grows short and bushy.

Day 30 and this is the day after using Recharge. Only a day later and I notice some changes. Supposedly after 2-3 days you notice a big difference. We’ll see. I watered about 6-7 cups of water in each pot until run off. Looking forward to the new growth. Day 31: The first two to the left are autoflowers. They seem to have less branches below compared to the photos on the right. Will they continue to grow branches over the next few weeks? I love how they look for my first grow. Just curious

End of week 4 for the Purple Lemonade. She just got fed with Goldleaf feterlizer and cal-mag. So far no new changes. She keep growing slow, no signs of pre- flower. She's been a hand full. Leave are still getting the brown spots and dying even with cal-mag added to the feeding. Let's see how week 5 goes.
