The last two weeks have been going really well so far.
Both seeds germinated extremely fast within 24 hours and showed strong, healthy growth right from the start.
For this run, I decided to germinate the seeds using the paper towel method (kitchen towel), and the results were excellent. Strong taproots developed quickly, and the seedlings transitioned smoothly into the soil.
Now in week 2 of vegetation, the plants look compact, vigorous, and well-balanced. Internode spacing is tight, leaves are healthy green, and growth speed is impressive for this early stage.
Environmental conditions are stable:
Temperatures are right where they should be
Humidity is slightly on the higher side, which is perfect for young plants
pH is dialed in at 6.0
Light distance feels spot on with no signs of stress
No issues so far, no deficiencies, no stress symptoms.
Overall, this has been a very smooth and promising start, and I’m really happy with how fast and strong these Black Mamba girls are developing.
Looking forward to the next phase – if they keep this pace, this grow is going to be a lot of fun. 🌿🐍

------------------------
Is going strong exactly how it should be 💪
After transplanting into the final pot, the plants once again recovered extremely well. No slowdown, no stress – instead vigorous growth, clean leaf structure, and clearly visible new vitality 🌿✨
The combination of BioTabs Bactrex & Ocratex is doing an excellent job in the root zone. The soil is alive, and the plants respond immediately.
Minor nutrient deficiencies that appeared briefly were brought fully under control with Boom Boom Spray 🚀🍃. Leaf color and turgor bounced back fast.
What stands out:
The Black Mamba was far less affected by the deficiencies than the other genetic. Right now, she looks extremely stable, resilient, and vigorous 🐍💚 exactly what you want at this stage.
Current conditions based on setup & image data:
🌡️ 27 °C day / 23 °C night – stable and optimal
💧 75 % humidity – perfect for vegetative growth
💡 18/6 light cycle, lamp distance around 35 cm (400 PPFD)
📏 Plant height approx. 25 cm
🌱 Final pot: 12 L – plenty of room for strong roots
🚿 about 1 L water per plant / 24 h, pH 6.0
-----------------------------------------
👉 Very healthy development, strong momentum.
If things continue like this, the plants are perfectly set up for a powerful end of veg and a smooth transition into flower 😎🔥

HandsomeTerpz Doctors Choice Black Mamba
Vegetative stage week 5
The Black Mamba from Doctors Choice shows a very balanced and healthy development in week 5 of the vegetative stage. Growth is compact and controlled while still producing strong branching and solid internode spacing. With a current height of around 30 centimeters, the plant is developing exactly as expected for this stage.
Environmental conditions are stable and support consistent growth. The light cycle is set to 18 hours on and 6 hours off. Daytime temperatures are around 27 degrees Celsius with nighttime temperatures near 23 degrees. Humidity is approximately 75 percent. The plant is grown in a 12 liter pot using BioBizz Light Mix supplemented with perlite and worm humus. Lighting is provided by an Array 4x4 LED, ventilation by a 6 inch inline fan with carbon filter.
The Black Mamba was topped in week 4 and handled the procedure very well. Since then, it has responded with strong and evenly developed side shoots. Overall, the plant appears robust and noticeably less sensitive than some other strains, making training straightforward and stress free.
At this point, the Black Mamba leaves a very confident impression. Growth is stable, responses to training are positive and there are no visible signs of stress. If this trajectory continues, a strong and well structured plant can be expected for the next stage.
Conclusion
Very solid development with good resilience and control. So far, this strain stands out for its stability and uniform growth.

HandsomeTerpz Week 6 of veg and it clearly shows the Black Mamba Beta is fully dialed in. Growth is strong healthy and consistent. No deficiencies no issues the plants are running smooth and look very vigorous 💪🌿
At around 30 cm height with an 18/6 light cycle and stable conditions around 27 °C daytime temperature and 75 % humidity everything is right on point. Previous topping and LST paid off nicely giving the plants a compact bushy structure that is more than ready for flower 🌳✨
Long story short no more problems everything is on track. This is exactly how a veg phase should look. I am really looking forward to the flowering stage things are about to get exciting 😏🔥

HandsomeTerpz Let’s be real: I’m a bit behind on LST right now 😅
The 3D printer is running, new holders are in progress – plenty of excuses, shame on me, but luckily the plants don’t seem to mind so far.
Because aside from that: Black Mamba is absolutely crushing it.
Extremely vigorous, beautiful growth, strong side branches, and a powerful presence in the tent. Visually and energetically, this strain is a beast 💪
The aroma is starting to get serious: warm, spicy, slightly sweet with dark fruity notes – properly hot 🐍🔥
Not quite that once-in-a-lifetime legendary pheno moment yet, but definitely operating on a very high level.
After taking these photos, I’ll go in for another round of defoliation, followed by properly dialing in the LST. The structure is begging to be shaped – this one’s going to hit hard.
I made some Clones. I hope they start to root it seems good atm.
What really stands out in this run:
👉 No pH adjustment at all
👉 No EC or PPM measurements
👉 Just plain tap water 🚰
And still, the plants look like they’re straight out of a grow manual. That says a lot about Doctor’s Choice genetics – easygoing, resilient, and powerful.
The planned breeding added a bit of suspense too. I was worried there might be a male hiding somewhere.
Plot twist: the most beautiful plant in the tent turned out to be male 🌱🏆
Classic breeder logic – painful for the eye, perfect for future projects 😄
Final thoughts:
Low-stress setup, zero measuring stress, full performance. Black Mamba delivers – now it’s time to clean things up, shape the canopy, and push toward the finish 🚀

HandsomeTerpz The same applies to the Black Mamba from Doctors Choice.
We’ve reached week 9, and the male plants were identified early, removed in time, and moved into a separate tent. So far, the boys are doing well healthy, stable, and behaving nicely. Now it’s all about watching closely 👀 and seeing when the pollen sacs will start to open.
The girls are a bit messy and uneven at the moment 😅 nothing unusual.
Today I’ll continue with SCROG here as well, bringing them into shape and setting them up properly for what’s coming next. Focus stays on control, light distribution, and a clean structure.
As always: plans are one thing plants doing their own thing is another 🐍🔥
Grow on 🌿💪

HandsomeTerpz Black Mamba is turning into a truly exciting project 🐍🔥
She grows incredibly reliable and stable. Big, beautiful fan leaves very indica dominant in structure 🌿💪
Strong framework, thick foliage, and that compact growth pattern you just love to see.
If treated well, she can grow a bit too fast 😅
That’s why LST and proper defoliation are absolutely essential. Without it, humidity rises quickly because she builds so much dense foliage. Airflow is key here 🌬️🌱
What really stands out:
Zero signs of stress. She handles training calmly and keeps pushing forward like nothing happened. That’s real genetic stability.
The combination of Bio Tabs and AutoPots seems to create almost ideal conditions for her. Consistent feeding, stable moisture levels and she rewards it with explosive but controlled growth 🚀🌿
This one definitely feels like a long-term keeper project.

HandsomeTerpz The Doctors Choice Black Mamba is showing some really beautiful behavior right now. You can slowly see her starting to darken in color, which always makes the final weeks extra exciting.
She could definitely pack on a little more weight, but that’s on me – this grow didn’t have perfectly optimized conditions everywhere. Still, she’s doing great and showing what strong genetics can handle even when things aren’t absolutely dialed in. 🌱
The aroma is developing wonderfully and she smells fantastic. The plant itself looks healthy, the leaves are still in very good condition and overall she’s performing really nicely.
I believe she still needs about 2–3 more weeks before she’s fully ready. At the moment there are no strong autumn colors yet, but I’m still hoping she will make a special color turn towards the end. That would really make this lady shine. 🍂✨
One thing that really stands out is her growth structure. It’s honestly fascinating to watch how she spreads out. From the way she grows, she would be perfect for a Screen of Green project with just one plant. She clearly has the potential to become very large and fill a canopy easily.
Overall this is a fantastic genetic line, and I’m already really curious about the harvest and especially the transformation during curing. That’s where the real magic often happens and I can’t wait to see which final notes and flavors she will develop. 🔥🌿

HandsomeTerpz The Black Mamba by Doctor’s Choice has finally reached the color that truly lives up to its name.
What started as a healthy green has gradually turned into a deep dark green with grey and almost black tones.
Right now the trichomes are exploding everywhere – the leaves are completely covered in a frosty layer. ❄️
After checking with the loupe:
Most trichomes are still clear, some are turning milky, but no amber yet.
➡️ My estimate:
About 1 to max 2 weeks until harvest.
Next run I would slightly improve the nutrient management, because some colas developed a bit thinner than expected.
But honestly, that is also due to the fact that the plants were packed a little too tightly inside the tents.
The Black Mamba definitely needs space to show her full potential. 🌱🔥
Excited to see how she finishes in the last days.

HandsomeTerpz The Black Mamba is showing her true colors now… and she’s living up to her name. Deep purple fading into near-black fan leaves give her that dark, almost venomous look like a true black snake wrapping itself around the canopy.
Visually, this one is something special. Frosted buds sitting on top of those dark leaves create a crazy contrast that just pulls you in. She’s not screaming for attention with massive colas, but that was never the goal in this run.
The terp profile is shifting more into a strong, rich and fruity direction. Less citrus here instead you get deep berry notes with a heavy, almost sweet punch behind it.
This run wasn’t about chasing the biggest buds. The focus was on pollination, and that mission was definitely successful. A small test already showed seeds forming everywhere, even though you can barely spot them at first glance. That’s exactly what you want to see.
We’re doing a partial harvest here as well. One plant is ready, while the other one is still taking her time to fully mature.
Things are getting exciting now… stay tuned.
What a journey this run has been. The Doctor’s Choice Black Mamba #42 is officially harvested and now hanging to dry. Everything went incredibly smooth from start to finish, exactly how you want it.
Watching this plant develop over the weeks was something special, but the real highlight came towards the end. As you can clearly see in the pictures, she went through a stunning color transformation deep, dark tones creeping in, turning her into that signature “black snake” look. Absolutely insane bag appeal already before curing.
Structure, resin production, and overall health were on point the entire grow. No major issues, no stress – just a clean, strong performance. Now it’s time to let her dry slowly and properly to preserve those terpenes and bring out her full potential.
Really excited for what comes next… but for now: mission accomplished
