Growth exploded this week as the flowering stretch kicked in. Swapped the 600w MH bulb out for a 600w HPS. Introduced low strength biobizz bloom feed 0.5ml/l Only issue I was having this week was slightly high humidity bur I've popped a small dehumidifier in the tent that seems to of sorted that out.

They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! I smoke for medical reasons and it's used for ritual and healing purposes, never to be sold, as it loses its magical properties. Should I have to buy Gelato of this quality at the dispensary that I frequent, it would cost me at least € 15,-- per gram. 246 x 15 = 3690 euros. also, 49 car rides of 25 miles there and back, 250 euros in gas saved. First off, this is my first time trying cuttings. I read an article about monster cropping and decided to give it a try. The cuttings were taken roughly 3-4 weeks ago from the Glookies in my other diary. Strangely enough all of them made it and even after giving some away, I ended up with six. I decided to transplant 3 of them onto bigger cubes and will choose which one will make it into the flower tent in 2-3 weeks. The other three I will try to turn into little bonsai glookies and tack them separately. The two plants on the very right have already been topped, as I didn't like the growth (they started to stretch weirdly), however all 3 of them should end up with 6-8 main colas if I don't top any further. I plan to scrooge the winner at around 30 cm when put into the big tent. my last one stretched around 25 cm when I flipped her so this time I should be able to even the canopy a bit better. 8/24 I am going to be cautiously optimistic here, the buds on Poly are looking so frosty and a consistent ratio of clear to milky at 1 to 3 with very occasional amber caused no doubt by wind damage. Four weeks to go and the excitement is building. Zona my Zona ... she is just continuing to improve and build buds like a good girl should. Expressing very sativa obviously I dont expect them to be as dense as the indica Poly. I have great designs on the bud she is producing. Fed just bio-bloom in a light dose (1 tsp/gal) 0.5 gal each more to give weight to the pots in heavy winds than anything else. Just some pics of Zona, like children, sometimes the troublesome ones find a special place. Six weeks remain for her god willing and the creek dont rise, so those scraggly little buds are gone be heavy. Beginning the process of bringing her branches higher and supported firmly for both wind and weight protection. I may never cut a plant down again for looking puny. As it turned out she is helping to save this grow :) 8/25 Zona into a seven gal pot for weight in windy conditions as anything else. Just put her smart pot and all into the larger container on top of about 1.5 inch of soil in the bottom and fill in the sides, worked well. If I lose the pot no big deal, those are cheap. I know its week 19 just making a note till I can update 8/28 Feed - grow 1 tsp/gal bloom 3 tsp/gal pots light due to humidity and sun

Watering has become an issue like I knew it would be. I need to start watering twice a day because at once a day they are drying out fast. To pull a couple of leaves because they turned yellow from lack of water.

I was reading on someone else’s diary how their ph meter was not calibrated right. I feel I’ve been doing everything by the book but still burnt tip and leaf distress. I’m checking my ph meter today. I’m told also that the most mature plant looks to be ready for harvest. It’s really short but it smells like fruit loops or something and is frosty as hell.

High temperatures and nutrient burn. At this point i have no idea what i am doing. Every now and then SD2 and SD3 release typical weed smell but apart from that no other smell. The stems upon rubbing and touching smell like cinammon,cloves and orange zest.It reminds me of fanta drink.

Both plants are into the final maturing stage now I think. #1 looking to be more dense, #2 longer and fluffier. Very temperamental with the nutes, shows signs of burn and deficiency, I think I'll leave with just water from here on out.
