* ********* Week 11 - June 20 to 26, 2020 - Days 71 to 77 from germination *********** * It is the end of flush week and she went into darkness on Wednesday night, day 75, for two days. Saturday will be harvest day and start and the dry process👍 She has certainly been going through the beautiful stage of senescence and her fade is gorgeous. The purples and yellows coming out are great......covers up the brown spots😂😂 Her buds are densing this week as we work on bring down the humidity. Running in the mid 60’s for humidity late in flower is a different experience and one that takes some getting used to. Bring down further to low 50’s has really helped to bring out her frost as well. Kept the humidity high to form big buds......now lowering to make them more sticky👍👍 I am feeling very strongly that the big part of the pH issues this run was a change in feed water. I have always used bottled RO water for all my grows, except outdoors, but this grow I switched to tap water. Dechlorinated the water with air stone and gave it 24 hours min before using. Wanted to save some money and tired of lugging bottles downstairs a couple of times a week☹️ This is worked out nicely and a lot more convenient. However, the city must be putting some crap in the water that is causing issues in my media and raises the pH after the watering. Out of the tap it is 8.4pH and 275ppm. Since ppm were not too bad in my opinion I moved forward without filtering the water.......oops🤬🤬🤬 Out of options on what is causing the issue, I switched back to RO water late last week........all the girls are happier!!!! F......missed the cause for weeks. Always learning from this plant and my own mistakes to get better every run😉👍 Also wanted to add a little more stress to girl to help push out some increased resin. I drilled a 5/16” hole into the main stem to cause her stress. I did this rather than trying to break a branch and will see how it goes this run. Sterilized a new bit in Alcohol and went for it. They went into darkness about a couple of hours later. Excited to see what happens when she comes out to get chopped😃😃 Little more detail...... June 20/20 - Day 71 - Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 2ml/L = 285ppm and 4.0ph - 8L given to get a good flush - Runoff in pots already were 7.8pH and 485ppm. - after 8L water runoff was 7.0pH and 370ppm. - she is 29” tall and 30” wide. - tricombs still mainly cloudy.....review again in couple of days. June 21/20 - Day 72 - Dry out day - buds are firming up......squeezed a couple🧐 - temps are nice outside so tent able to hold 75 degrees and 51% humidity. June 22/20 - Day 73 - Rezin @ 1ml/L = 120ppm and pH the water to 2.7!!!!!!!!! - Given 2L watering. - No runoff water and I am good with that as I want the low pH water to stay in the medium. - She will be ready soon. Thinking darkness on Wednesday and harvest on Saturday?? June 23/20 - Day 74 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 2.4!!!!!! - not excited about these crazy low pH numbers but doing what we can - her tops are getting really pointy now and her leaves are very yellow. - checking tricombs, I think we are done and tomorrow will be her last day so that I can take down on Saturday. June 24/20 - Day 75 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 3.0 - Going into darkness tonight so this was her last bit of moisture. - drilled a hole into the stem.....was going to do a couple of holes but not trying this method before I decided to leave it with one hole. - into darkness tonight So we finish up the week with her in the dark. Super easy and quick grow for this girl. She took to LST without issues and developed some really stinky and dense buds. She was a fairly small plant but most likely due to the training. Definitely looking forward to running this strain again and might be sooner rather than later, depending on the smoke.

So the symptoms in plant 1 have slowed down significantly, and she's gone back to swelling those buds! So I'm optimistic there! Plant 2, as many white pistils as she has (probably 40 or so % darkened, hard to see in pics) her trichomes say its time! For this plant anyway, i want this one to be mostly white, next one maybe 30% amber! As it sits, she's about 85 milky and the rest amber with a few clear stragglers. Not gonna fret because I have tried her, and she's good! A small branch off of 2 broke when moving 1 to flush her, so I trimmed it and set it on my pc to quick dry lol. 4.4 grams went on, 1.2 came off, and I rolled a fatty. It tasted good, which was fascinating to me, didn't taste like hay at all! And the high was phenomenal. So I'm gonna chop her up tonight! Plant 1 has a few weeks yet, I'm hoping they go smoother than the last couple lol. Until next time, happy growing farm-fam!

It's week 4 for the Purple Haze and it is awesome!!!! this is the first year I D I ever fell in love with when I first smoked high-grade cannabis way way back in the day and I could never get a definitive answer from anybody about the variety.. in many big cities I realize that they claim Northern Lights to be purple haze at least in NYC

Stressful to say the least, Browning pistils from Very very early however no hermaphrodites. Just can’t get my finger on where they’re at week 5 just added PK 13/14 and now considering whether I should’ve done or not they are showing signs of been ready for harvest yet don’t look done

Great week for Mephy...other than winter being on the doorstep. 😒 Keeping her to 4 main cobs, slow and steady till she's ready for some LST. I've been adding DO (dissolved oxygen) into the water in an attempt to keep the roots happy in this tight space. So far she's loving it. If you have an aquarium pump and some airstones you can add DO to your irrigation. Worth a try if you haven't. Anyway, hope everyone had a great tiny pot week! oh did I add I noticed she showing sex this morning as the sun rises so this morning Feb 18 6:22am I decided to up my nutrients  with the first bottle of nutrients I mixed was on a early veg level so I just add 2ml of each my fox farms advance nutrients along with some algas ( made with seaweed somewhere on the island ) which is a root stimulant and a few drops less than a teaspoon of molasses.  and gave my baby a deep feed hope I dont regret this hope I dont get nut burns .

Stretch slowing down, secured the existing net for some support and to help with LST. Stretch has slowed down for sure. budlets beginning to form. Did a heavy top dress of Gaia Green, 13 TBSP Power Bloom to 7 TBSP All Purpose, mixed with a few scoops of compost. When I pulled back the mulch to top dress I snapped a few pics and videos of the soil, wow, SO much life it's incredible, one giant heap of life. I find mixing top dress with compost lets gives the roots something to adhere to, and nothing like increasing that root zone! Kept up with some light defoliation and LST with some bud clips and netting, not much else to do but wait! All the excess trim from defoliation and nearly everything you see in the background will get mulched up and added in the fall for next years crop. Circle of life yo! Had some very very minor Powdery Mildew on some fan leaves after we have some 95% humidity roll through, I had company so skipped a spraying of Lactobacillus, and it showed. If you haven't tried it, it's EASY to make and it works wonders, plants love it as a foliar spray or a root soak, I use molasses to keep it stable, so it's double good for flowering time. This will HAVE to get harvested end of September regardless, that gives me 7 weeks from now, so here's hoping for that FastBuds "Fast Flower" action.
