Day 77 - She's growing well this week. Starting to show her trichomes 😍

Shes really doing her thing. I have had so much fun growing this and learning, It's exactly what I hoped for in a first grow, and better yet one of my favorite classic strains. So excited for real buds to fatten up.

It's my second grow of this baby.... and I'm in love 😍 so easy and with big buds hard as stones 💎 The tasting is fcking goooood !! Do yourself a favor and try this 🌳 Soon ill grow another of this strain again.... PEACE ✌️🏼

Some problems have appeared with my beloved plants. From my research, I have poor air circulation inside my grow tent, which wasn't surprising. When I set everything up somewhat haphazardly, I knew I would need to fix it. I confess I'm dissatisfied with this week; some plants are stressed, nothing too serious, but I noticed a slowdown in 3 Baker's phenotypes, some gnats have returned, another insect I've never seen before has appeared, and I'm somewhat short on resources to deal with it. I also had a serious problem with the electricity, forcing me to completely improvise the electrical system and exhaust fan to work without a ventilator. Anyway, enough bad news. I'm still in my first run, but I'm learning from my mistakes!

SO, the girls were doing so well into their second week I decided to do the unthinkable... I topped autos! 😳😳🤯🤯 I figured they were doing so well and hadn't entered flower yet; let's do our best to keep them small and get multiple good buds instead of just one. This will also give me the best opportunity to lst them down using ties. Stayed tuned for that! This girl is doing well. She's in second place right now out of the group. She should easily fill out over the next few weeks and is already entering flower. The stretch is done, and it’s time to start packing on buds. She’s not super smelly, like her older sister before her. 5 or so weeks to go. I just made the last ounce from the last plant into butter. Incredible stuff

This girl was pollinated with Durban Skunk pollen…I await her ripening for the new strain Durban Skunk OG. She has a sweet smell thus far.

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. The branching beast is doing well, but it's time again to bring her in a good shape. Also I'll set the LST new cause of the fast growing one of the branches started splitting up. So see ya next week when I maybe repot her in a bigger pot and cleaned her up!

Start of week 8 for DG. Buds are still filling out. Wondering when of if I should flush her before harvest? Only been using Cronk Nutrients for a couple of weeks so I don’t think there should be too much of salt build up. Haven’t tested and ppm from runoff. She still showing a little bit of bite or light burn so I fed her plain ph’d water for 2 feeds in a row so we’ll see. The GWK is starting week 7. She’s taller but still has a lot of filling out to do. She also showed a few leaves of nute burn but I’m pushing her. She had one plain water feeding this past week. She’s looks great though. Flush or no flush? I think I’m a couple weeks out from DG harvest.

The buds are about 50% denser than my main auto crop. A bowl of wet auto bud might weigh 200 g but the same volume of Hash Bud is 300 g. There are a minimal number of leaves and trimming is the easiest ever. This should be considered a strong commercial plant because it ticks all the boxes: robust, cold tolerant, potent, fast, big, and easy cloning and processing. I’m looking forward to making hash in a few weeks.

Smooth sailing on this batch deep into flower! Were sitting at 85 days today and they are looking fantastic! Steady feeding flora bloom and flora micro. Also giving them 5ml/gal of advanced big bud. These ladies are FROSTY! Cannot wait till these ladies wrap it up! This auto critical is sitting an easy 35 plus days from harvest. This original auto from fastbuds will take around 120 days from seed to harvest, but she's gonna be a monster!

Day 58 since seed touched soil. Sponsored grow MARS HYDRO TSL2000: 300W, Flower 2'x4', Veg 3'x5' It's recommended for beginners. Low-budget & high-efficiency. Think its more than for beginners ;))) Plants coped well with small distance, stretch is over, flowers start to bulk up, some buds will be really nice. Today raised light to max, so now they have 15 cm quile healthy distance ;))) Last top up was too powerful with Nitrogen, i see signs of overdose. Cookie escaped best, so for some strains this feeding is right, most probably its a heavy hungry strain ;))) AND !!!!! Its first Cookie variation that i grew which is so stacked !!!! Each top is long as f@ck ;)))) doubt will be fat tho, structure of flower doesn't give big hope, but its auto, so could still develop into something insanly nice !!! Took few bottom shoots, taking almost daily few bottom consumed / cannibalised leaves , but she needs a bit more of clearing. Day 60. Did some clearing. Happy Growing !!!

Flowering day 63 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone 😀. Both phenotypes continue to develop very nicely :-). The buds begin to ripen and smell very tasty 😍. The trichomes are 70% milky, 15% amber and 15% clear. As soon as the next 7-12 days are 70% milky and 30% amber, I will harvest. That's why I start flushing tomorrow 👍. It was watered twice this week with 1.2 l per watering per plant. The tent was cleaned and everything checked for health 👍.
