Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Ladies and gentlemen, here we are in day 25 and as you can see, this girl is thriving! I've been a little heavy handed with the training, but i'm putting her to the ultimate test 💪 😎 .. i think it's a problem I have.I can't keep my hands off my ladies 😜 .. Day 26: today we did some more LST and she is officially split and has handled everything well .. also have a new friend in the tent protecting my girls .. Happy growing ✌️

The yield this run was just amazing, the VIPARSPECTRA XS-2000 performed very well, they run so cool, it's just crazy, you can set the lights about 10 inches from your plants at 70% without fear of burning them, sweet seed cream mandarin auto al, always yields very well, this harvest was even better, largest amount from any Auto Flowers yet, I know that you folks that grow DWC can push it a bit better but when grown in the soil the terpenes and flavors seem to be a click better in my opinion. If you have not tried these seeds you just have to, you will not be disappointed!

This bean is during me CRAZY 🤣🤣🤣 I had some slow growth with my RuntZ, but they are on the go. This strain —- I gotta get the conditions right for it. It seems to prefer less water and more heat?? I am not flowering this strain until I can take 5-6 Clone’s off of it. It’s been feed SST, LABS, bacteria, fungi, rain dances. Just isn’t responding like I assumed, but I am taking responsibility for the issues, NOT the cultivar. 11-3 And……we are back in the game!!! The inputs began showing the effectiveness. Leaves are larger, no stretching. The bean just took a second to “kick” in gear with some added help. This is going to be a very long VEG…we are talking 4-5 months before I flower this. I want multiple clones off this strain so my summer grow outdoor is going to be SICK ( 6 ft tall ladies).

Things are going well. This is a very inconsistent strain. I finally decided to kill off the plant A529 because it just would not grow and always looked over watered even though the rest of my garden looked great. One thing i can say is this strain in extremely nute hungry. I could easily increase my N if this was the only strain i was running

Growth in height has backed off on plant 2, 3, and 4. Plant 2 is at 30 inches, plant 3 coming in at about 28, and plant 4 has hit 34 only 2 inches taller than last week. They're starting to lay on flower weight now and you can definitely tell. Plant 2 has seemed to be maturing slightly faster in terms of bud structure and color however plants 3 and 4 have begun to crystal up and get darker like plant 2 has been. Plant 2 is still taking her sweet time, not much growth. Might be something to look into, she's wicking water just fine just way for behind the others despite popping earlier and growing larger first till she stopped and lost the race back in week 5. She's now poking through the trellis and developing more flowers we shall see what she does. Overall a very exciting week, they're drinking a little more water than last week. Filling my 12 gal res every 5 days now still running the 3 grams per gallon(0.6 tsp/gal or 1 tbs/5gal) of the B1&B2 from FloraFlex. As of right now I've been running about 300-500 par on this tsw2000 at max tent height on 75% wattage. Will crank to 100% in the next couple weeks.

Week 8: The Bakery is Open! 🎂👃 The Update: We are officially in full bloom mode! If last week was about the frost starting, this week is all about the bulk. The Wedding Cake is living up to her name the smell is getting sweeter, heavier, and definitely more pungent. Bud Development: The PK 13-14 is doing its magic. The colas are visibly swelling day by day, and the calyxes are stacking up beautifully. The "popcorn" buds lower down are hardening up thanks to that defoliation last week. Most pistils are still white, but I'm spotting a few starting to turn amber/orange as she matures. Nutrients & Care: Continuing with the "heavy hitter" mix: Bio-Bloom & Top-Max: keeping the sugars high. PK 13-14: pushing that density. Environment: Temps are steady at 25°C. I'm keeping a very close watch on humidity (aiming to drop it slightly below 65% if possible) to keep mold away from these chunky flowers. Next Steps: Just letting her bake! The structure is set, now it's just a waiting game for them to ripen. ⏳

Buds are starting to pop flushing the next 7 days or so to start the next phase swell stage when we make them buds blow up big time all are still healthy and striving well . i must admit gowning in the winter months is so much better in doors then summers i'm sold 4sho!!

Day 28 smell is geting stronger frost is building very large bud growing very fast will most likely be a heavy yield handling the higher temperatures

It’s a bit sad to realize that "Autumn" has officially arrived. The trichomes have gone cloudy, the leaves are fading, and I’m out here wiping away a tear. This girl, whom I’ve been spending every day with for almost half a year, is finally wrapping up her cycle. Well, it’s been a beautiful ride, and Think Fast proved to be an incredibly strong and resilient strain. I’ll break down my full thoughts and review of the genetics during harvest week. By the way, the next update will drop right after the dry, I know you guys are all waiting to see the final dry weight. But for now, it's time to flush. The lights are dialed down a bit, the reservoir is filled with pure RO water, and my heart is filled with pure, bittersweet blues. Don't lose track of me, we’ll meet again in about 15 days! Buenas a tod@s... Otra semanita de floración para estas hermosas.... Han crecido bastante, las veo muy bien, riengo generalmente cada 2 días, el pH perfecto, absorben muy bien los nutrientes, el sustrato muy bien desde q lo eh cambiado este cultivo... Esty muy contento y el resultado va tomando forma, trabajando duro se obtienen buenos resultados a la larga, hay algunos fallos para mejorar pero de momento las niñas están bien y van creciendo y engordando favorablemente... Me gustaría tener más espacio y más material tecnológico para el cultivo, pero de momento es lo q hay y nos apañamos bien... Buenos humos para todos 🏻💨💨 😎💀 🇦🇷🤝🏻🇪🇦
