Well, it's finally time for an update, right? And for a newbie like me this week has been quite eventful! 😲 After last week's "Helmet Head" (which I suppose was my fault for not burying the seed deep enough 😱) her leaves started to look twisty, Honestly don't know why that happened but my three hypothesis are: because that's just the way she is, because I didn't properly bury the seed or I made a mistake somewhere else. However I also think she looks pretty and this makes her look quite "special" 👍. In her 6-7th day after sprouting I noticed her leaves started to look even more twisty and she was about to outgrow her cup. I worried and decided that it was the right moment to transplant her. At first I didn't know "how" to do it and all I knew is that I could shock her if I did it wrong (which worried me haha 😨). None of the sites I checked really specified any kind of information regarding how I should prepare the medium for the new plant (just some vague information here and there) so I came with the idea to just water it bit and then "massage" the soil to avoid making it "lumpy" and I feel it did work out well in the end! I feel I didn't shock her much and in her second day she was growing even more as well! Nice! 😍 Next week I'll start feeding Puff with some nutrients but the PPM of the tap water where I live is somewhat high (around 600) and it's electroconductivity is around 1200 us/cm but a lot of growers in here still use it (they just wait for chlorine to evaporate) so I'll try doing the same. I'll use half dose of Biobizz Bio Grow and half dose of another product called Gold Sunshine from Quemanta (which is Cal-Mag with some amino acids) and see how things develop! 😃 I'll try to see if I can make my DSLR take the photos for future timelapses, because my webcam sucks for that job! 10 September Harvest - see pictures. While some growers leave the plant whole when they cut, I do not. It is a personal preference and situational convenience if your a home grower. I chose to cut large, long branches, and remove any whole water leaves, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the bud formation. I don’t trim yet. This is done for a few of reasons: 1) It’s my last good close-up look at her until another 5 days or more, 2) I don’t want wet leaves drying on my buds if I can help it, and 3) I occasionally like being able to shine a small LED flashlight on the flowers while its drying. Mold is our greatest problem as growers, it can destroy a beautiful grow right up until the end process. Then I hang it in a dark closet, provide circulation and ventilation. Light and heat, anything above 80 degrees F, will start a break down in cannabinoids during the dry, it is ideal to stay away from both. I’m fortunate that a humidity level of 50- 55% and temperature of 65-70 degrees F is fairly consistent and easy to maintain. Anything below 60 degree F will prevent the adequate drying out of chlorophyll. Almost all my flower routinely take 5-7 days, some a little longer, to properly dry out. 15 September Trim - see pictures. First you’ll notice the buds have shrunk up to half their original size. This is just a fact that we growers have to deal with. Due to evaporation without uptake of water, it takes about 3 days for the chlorophyll to dry up, then slowly go through a chemical change. Along with the leaves, cannabinoids also begin a chemical change after 3 days called decarboxylation. A slow process where the THC level increases while curing. You want the leaf to be dry so they can be hand trimmed easily, but you do not want that bud so dry that it starts to fall apart in your hand. Try to handle carefully by the main stem to avoid touching the bud all together. A lot of these cut leaves will be covered with trichomes, good for making oils, or other products, it’s an option worth looking into keeping it. After trimming, I do separate a few premium flowers for my first smoq. Then loosely fill wide mouth quart mason jars with about 1 oz/28 gr of product per jar. I seal the lids for a few hours to determine what relative humidity they are at, see hygrometer pic, before making a decision to put in a 62% humidity control pack of my choice or to wait, then place in secure in a cool dark place with stable humidity and temperature. It is very important to then observe/burp or exchange the air as needed, up to several times a day, until 62% rh is achieved. Once your close to to your mark, put in your desired RH level control terpene shield. If you have a problem getting there: 1) it has dried out too much, no real solution, try to put several large cut stems left over from harvest into the jars with the buds to try and increase humidty, 2) it has not dried out enough, in this case no problem, just remove and dry out a little more. This is also a personal choice, some people like it drier in the 50% plus range. Whatever you do, research and preserve. At that time burping is no longer required. Cannabis will reach its peak potency potential at about 40 or so days into the cure. The finished product should be a perfect grind when cured correctly without clogging up your grinder, this could take a month. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure someone has grown something that they have not been able to grind. It can remain in this state for an easy 6 months with little change, locking in all the terpenes and potencies. All you need to do is occasionally check the product to ensure there are no molds. If your grow/harvest/cure techniques are good this should not be an issue. It would not be uncommon to find many cannabis strains will last, with small degradable change, for up to one year after being stored this way. Using an airtight glass container, controlled relative humidity, maintained low temperature, and kept in darkness will equal maximum shelf life. Always avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 80 degrees F. The reasons I’ve ultimately chosen Deep Water Culture as a grow medium. Each has their own pros and cons indeed. I found the most efficient, less maintenance and ideal solution for my situation was DWC. Burdens to overcome depend on size up set-up; initial equipment cost, size of containers, ph monitors, air pumps, type of water to use-reverse osmosis, RO cost/set-up/maintenance, ways to transfer/change water and nutrients, what nutrients to use and schedules, takes several grows to learn and understand, a 1 year learning curv, easy to nutrient burn. The Benefits of growing in water; no dirt, no bugs, no diseases, rare nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, steady and rapid growth that enables the plant to reach its genetic potential. After harvest, there is about a 1 hour equipment cleanup, sterilization and turn around process before replanting. Cannabis will perform in so many different ways and mediums, no one way is the best and the best way is the one you are using, right. Chose what works for you in the long run. There will always be an initial cost in set-up. My advice if one were in need to cut corners, I would not recommend cheap lights. This single factor is the most critical, afford for the best. The notion that organic and water has a different taste, flavor and potency effect is absolutely debatable. The more we learn the better we grow and experience is always the best teacher. This is what works for me and my methods of growing in general from beginning to end. A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to take a look. I enjoy Auto strains simply by what can be achieved in a short time. No matter the strain they will unveil one thing in common, the demand for attention. Estoy en la ultima semana todo salio genial vamos por ese secado y curado

Durch die hohe Temperatur und die Entwicklung der buds haben die Ladies grossen Durst . Diese Woche die Damen 3 mal mit voller düngedosis nach Plan von Green Buzz gegossen . Nachts ca 23 Grad/ Tags 26 Grad. Luftfeuchtigkeit bei relativ konstant 50%. Also Klima gut. Bei einer der Ladies habe ich einen Anteil von ca. 50 % Coco dort die doppelte Menge calmag wie oben bei dem Dünger angegeben . Die Blattfarbe der beiden Pflanzen ist nun durch die Erhöhung von calmag bei der Coco Pflanze gleich . PH Wert Gieß und Drain diese Woche nicht geprüft, blattfarbe ist dunkler geworden nächste Woche wird mal wieder durchgespült mit einer light düngemischung . Hier habe ich den ec gemessen der aktuell mit ca 1-1,2-1,3 ganz gut ist. Ich halte mich nun an den düngeplan von Greenbuzz der mit seinen Mengen aktuell gut funktioniert. Ich hoffe es ist der richtige Weg . Die Damen sehen beide gut aus. Entlaubung durchgeführt um dem Licht in den weg in die Mitte der Pflanze zu ermöglichen. Lichtstärke der Lampe auf 92 % bei einem Abstand von 40 cm. Düngezugabe 3 mal in dieser Woche.

Week 4 and these girls are looking great the cheese is looking as though it's a week behind the bubblegum but still looking nice and healthy and I was expecting it to be slower as it has a longer flower time. My 2 bubblegum are growing really well pheno number 2 is by far the biggest even after I snapped a branch completely off. I've noticed an uptake in water I'm now giving them 2 litre of 6.5 ph plain water every other day. Theres a slight hint of candy as you enter the grow tent makes my mouth water every time I walk in. The LST has gone well (baring the one snapped branch) all bud sites are exposed/tied out towards the exterior of the pot, looking forward to watching them develop and I will be keeping an eye on them for signs of pre flower as the bubblegum is supposed to be 8 weeks or less. Day 31 I think pheno 2 is in early pre flower stage, she is consuming 1.5 litres of water every day and is growing at a great rate. Pheno one is a little smaller and has no signs of flower as of yet, she has had the same feeding and watering as pheno 2 Cheese critical I think is looking good but I'm not seeing much growth I'm wondering if she may be stunted I'm going to check the ppm run off and see if theres any indication as to what's going on That's all for now guys and gals happy growing

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. It was a great week for the 5 mainlines, they are all close to 20 inches tall, with 8 mains, and I decided to flip them all to flower today on day 49. If the ladies double in height by the end of the stretch, they should be around 40 inches tall and my lights are at 52 inches so that would give me about a foot between the canopy and the lights. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients in about a week. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very happy with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. The heat and humidity are finally letting up in my region so it is nice to be able to open some windows and drop the temp outside the grow tent. 24/03 watered AGAIN after 2 days with 1.5L 5.9 PH 1.5 EC, 5ml/L of Terra Bloom. So far im really happy with plagron. Just one bottle for grow and one for bloom and the plants look healthy and show no signs of deficencies. really happy with the product. Moreso than biobizz, where i used Grow, bloom, calmag, activera and topmax and still fought deficencies here and there. I also am conflicted about the trellis net. I like what it does but i think my tent is too full with plants or too small to really enjoy it growing-wise. I cant move the plants and its hard to reach them during watering. So i removed it again. its an on/off relationship with us :D I also did some more defoliation, PROMISE ITS THE LAST TIME. i took out the plants of the tent for it to better reach the insides of them and made some nice videos of their progress so far. ALSO: Tent smells really good and overwhelming when i open it! sadly, it escapes pretty fast so ill put "normal" smell on here. but its decent! Good day. From this week my DO SI DOS starts the flowering. Look at the branches- very strong and fully covered with flowers. I defoliate the plant each 3rd day. Very healthy and strong genetic. And there are no smell yet. The plant like to drink a lot - the most dry plant everytime I open my small tent.:) I will add some PK from next week to help progress the flowering.

Day 74 Struggling with RH, Temp, and H2O temp. H2O temp cause tent to overheat. Cooled the water down and opened the window to let exhaust out bc it was recirculating warm air. In good range now Found salt build up in stones and some biofilm on plastic on the stone disc, changed out res and cleaned with dilute bleach (always use dilute bleach when cleaning res buckets). All is happy except afraid of reveg bc the last 2 weeks sooo much stress bc the weather. Trichomes are about 70% cloudy. Within harvest window deff. The lil plant bc of stunted growth, might run 2 more weeks depending on trichomes. All bud sites under the bush have white pistols. Just going for that main cola, thats it The bottom budsites trichomes are 60% cloudy, so wondering if I do a top harvest, let the popcorn buds go another week than finish harvest. Any help please. These plants smell sooooo sooo sweet and crazy sticky.

This week has gone well, had a bunch of stuff typed out and closed my browser by mistake and now this is #2 attempt to post this week. Easy week for the plants, they have being growing well and I am impressed by the size of them. I added in some potassium silicate to introduce some Si into this grow. I decided to top them as they where starting to grow their 4th node, snipped that tip off and we're golden. They are kinda smelly if you rub them and that's fun too, Some of the hot peppers have also popped up and started growing. I still don't have anything on the Naga Morich pepper that I am hoping for. I have a feeling that as the seeds I got from these peppers where from a dehydrated pepper, they might be duds nuked from the dry heat of the dehydrator. I do have 4 vials of hot pepper seeds where the label has fallen off, I found the labels but no idea what one goes on what bottle. One out of the four bottles is Naga Morich, Having some none dehydrated seeds in my possession is one step closer to getting more of this hottie. I also found a fly out of no where, Its little wing is damaged and it more or less hops and glides unsuccessfully vs fly's but I took some videos of it. I also seen a few fungus gnats, little fuckers where not in my apartment before I am convinced their eggs survive in the stuff I buy then come out of it. Kinda annoying. PLUS I borrowed a light meter from my hydro shop, I was expecting it to be a LUX meter and that I would have to do a bunch of conversions but it was not, it was a legit Quantum Par Sensor, detecting in PPF "Photosynthetic Photon Flux" or umols/s, with these readings I can calculate my PPFD "PPF+Density" I have mapped out my tents floor into a colour coded grid of dots and mapped out the PPF at varying heights and dims. However I did not do it right and need to redo this. But once this is done I will have a functioning PPFD map with relation to my tent. This will help me tone in DLI and get it aorund a solid 35-40. Will be gearing up for a transplant next week. I try and post on Fridays but don't always get around to it. I take the pics on that date though and then try and remember what I was going to write about that week. PS Gorilla Tent Accessory's suck shit. The SCROG nets pic has the gorilla 2x4 SCROG net "black" and the Secret Jardin 2x4 SCROG net "white" beside it. massive difference in quality and size. I should have known when they state on the label its for 2x2 or 2x4, that's not even possible. Also tried out the nutrient line that's part of the gorilla tent company, Lotus, I ran it one year and it was just trash, did not work, had issues since first week and they would not correct. Buddy reached out to me and said same thing happened to him and he disliked the brand. Ladies and gentlemen, today is day 27, and this girl is doing great.. i just gave her a feeding around the rim of the pot .. she's leaning a little bit because my eternity grow plant is taking up all the tent, and this poor little girl is struggling to get light.. She's looking good though she will prevail and I believe end up being a great plant.. Kannabia seeds much appreciated. You guys are great genetics, so far doing great as well.. Insgesamt zeigt sich hier in diesem Grow eine stärkere Blütenausbildung, als bei der anderen Pflanze. Auf jeden Fall zeigen sich Phenotypische unterschiede in der Gesamtstruktur. Die Pflanze hat ihren Stretch beendet und konzentriert sich nun völlig auf die Blütenausbildung. Beide Pflanzen sind jetzt tatsächlich gleich hoch. Das Aroma hat bei dieser Pflanze einen stärkeren süsslichen Zitrustouch mit nun ausreifend fruchtigen Noten.
