Our Zamnesia autoflowers have been on their journey through the magical flowering period for a while now, this is the second week of flowering considering that autoflowers still flower spontaneously some sooner than others but all around the 3rd-4th week. . ---- The general environmental conditions are good, the heat has increased a bit more but for the first weeks of flowering it is not a big problem, let's remember to never exceed 27 degrees centigrade in the last 4 weeks to avoid compromising the quality of the flowers. If necessary open the growbox but never let it exceed 27-30 degrees where 30 is already a lot. The positive thing is that as soon as the lights go out the change is already somewhat visible and as autumn progresses we will also improve. The humidity is fluctuating but we try to control it with two dehumidifiers when necessary, pushing both of them possibly not into the growbox but directly into the room. (I dehumidify the room and the air in the growbox should also be dehumidified) --- Here we are at very high levels. I have two Blue Cheese one a little taller and one a little smaller and super resinous already now - The autoflowering ones are good but please, try the latest generation F1 Hybrids. Plant, tall, vigorous, healthy really compliments for this strain. 🍃 Purple Haze Photo A — Week 4 | Preparing for Gravity-Fed Growth Every grow has one plant that quietly starts telling you a story before flowering even begins. Purple Haze A is becoming exactly that. Growing under the same Future of Grow LED, receiving the same PPFD, sharing the exact nutrient recipe, environmental conditions and care as every other plant inside the tent, she has decided to express herself in a completely different way. Instead of remaining compact, she has embraced her sativa heritage and is already showing the elegant structure Purple Haze is famous for. Longer internodes. Large healthy fan leaves. Fast vertical growth. Strong side branching. Exactly the characteristics we hoped to see. This diary is part of my ongoing 12/12 From Seed Challenge, documenting every step exactly as it happens. No shortcuts, no hidden techniques—just honest observations from a home grower enjoying the journey one day at a time. ⸻ 🌱 Week 4 Development This week was all about preparing for the next big milestone. Purple Haze continued building an exceptionally strong root system while producing vigorous new shoots across every node. The leaves are deep green, beautifully flat and reaching toward the light, showing excellent nutrient uptake and a very healthy metabolism. Stem thickness has increased noticeably, giving plenty of confidence that she’ll easily support future flower production. The spacing between branches also makes her an excellent candidate for training later, allowing light to penetrate naturally through the canopy. Sometimes you can already tell a plant has personality long before flowers appear. This one certainly does. ⸻ 🚿 Time for AutoPot This week also marks another exciting step. Purple Haze A will soon become one of the plants running on my AutoPot system. Since every plant in this project receives identical lighting, nutrients and environmental conditions, this creates a great opportunity to observe one important variable: Top watering versus gravity-fed irrigation. Rather than trying to prove one method is universally better, I simply enjoy comparing different growing styles under the same conditions and documenting the results honestly. That is one of the things I love most about this hobby. Every grow teaches something new. ⸻ 💧 What is an AutoPot? For anyone discovering these diaries for the first time, AutoPots are a completely passive irrigation system. There are: ❌ No pumps ❌ No electricity ❌ No timers Instead, everything works using gravity. A nutrient reservoir sits slightly higher than the pots, allowing the solution to flow naturally through the tubing. Inside each tray sits the heart of the system: The AquaValve The AquaValve is an ingenious little mechanical valve. When the tray becomes empty, the valve opens and allows fresh nutrient solution to flow in. Once the tray reaches the correct water level, the valve automatically closes. The plant then drinks exactly what it wants. Only after the tray is empty again does the cycle repeat. Because the substrate experiences a natural wet-dry rhythm while always having nutrients available when needed, roots tend to develop extremely well. Healthy roots often translate into healthier plants. At least, that has been my experience. ⸻ 🌿 Why I Enjoy Growing with AutoPots Every grower eventually finds methods that simply fit their style. 🍑 Passion Fruitz by Zamnesia Week 6 | The Plant That Refuses to Follow the Schedule Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! Some plants race ahead. Some quietly keep pace with the rest. And then there are plants like Passion Fruitz... Plants that politely ignore our expectations and decide to follow their own calendar. Week after week she continues growing, building, and strengthening herself, while many of the other ladies around her have already begun flowering. At first glance someone might think something is wrong. But that's exactly why this project exists. Sometimes the greatest lessons come from the plants that refuse to do what we expect. 🌱 Why This Project Exists One of the goals of this entire 8×8 Adventure has never been simply to grow beautiful plants. The real objective is education. Every plant in this room receives exactly the same opportunity. The same room. The same light schedule. The same nutrients. The same temperatures. The same humidity. The same CO₂. The same care. The only thing that's different... ...is the genetics. By documenting every phenotype individually, we can see something many growers never have the chance to observe. Plants are individuals. Even sisters from the same seed pack don't always make the same decisions. And Passion Fruitz is giving us the perfect example. 🌿 Still Growing... And That's Perfectly Fine While many of her neighbours have already started producing flowers, Passion Fruitz remains comfortably in vegetative growth. No pistils. No stretch into bloom. No rush whatsoever. Instead, she's investing every bit of energy into building herself. Her canopy has become noticeably fuller. Her branching is becoming stronger. The stems continue thickening, and every new node adds to an increasingly compact and healthy structure. She isn't falling behind. She's simply following her own biological timetable. 🌎 Genetics Always Have the Final Say One of the biggest myths surrounding the 12/12 From Seed method is that plants immediately begin flowering simply because the lights are set to 12 hours. This project has shown the opposite. The light schedule tells the plant the season. The genetics decide when she's mature enough to respond. Whether it's a photoperiod plant... An autoflower... Or completely different phenotypes from the very same variety... Every plant reaches that moment in its own time. Passion Fruitz has become the living proof of that. She's reminding us that growing isn't about forcing nature. It's about learning to observe it. 🍃 A Compact Beauty Although she's still one of the smallest ladies in the room, she might also be one of the healthiest. Her foliage is deep green and full of life. A little gentle leaf tucking here and there was enough to improve light penetration while allowing her natural structure to continue developing uninterrupted. Sometimes doing less is exactly what the plant needs. 💧 Letting Her Write Her Own Story Her feeding program remains focused on healthy vegetative development, providing everything she needs while avoiding the temptation to push her faster than she's ready to go. There's no special treatment. No attempt to force flowering. No drastic adjustments. Just consistency. One of the biggest lessons growing has taught me over the years is that patience often produces the best results. Every plant deserves the opportunity to grow at her own pace. 🌡️ The Environment Remains Stable As with every plant in this project, Passion Fruitz continues enjoying stable environmental conditions that allow her genetics to express themselves naturally. Welcome growers This is the last week in vegetation for my two BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE 🍰 Last week's topping had a positive effect on one of the two, while the one that is growing in its most natural form has started to develop the lower branches a lot, also thanks to HST techniques...in this case Supercropping.. Both have a very sturdy stem, also given by the 24/7 ventilation from the first weeks of life 🌱🌿🌳 The color of the leaves is a nice green, the one wich is griw in most natural one is perhaps in a slight excess of nitrogen...but that's ok The general appearance of both is of full health 💪 In a few days I will probably go to defoliate a little ✂️✂️ Anyway In this week i have reduced the lights cycle from 16/8 on/off to 14/10 on/off 💡 At the same time i have increase the intensity of my two led SP3000 from 50% to 75% and im going to put them at the maximum potency after the switch at 12/12 The two led panel are connected with a cable and i have only to adjuste the dimmer of one of them for change the intensity of each one, in just one move.. About nutrients 👇 In this seven days i still giving their always organic/veganic nutrients.. A little bit of silicium (Bionova) / Activator (Biomagno) / Crescita (Biomagno) / Activera (Biobizz) / Grow vegan (Bionova) / The Missing Link (Bionova) / X-Cell (Bionova) / Bioheaven (Biobizz) for the first time and a little bit of P-K 3-5 (Bionova) {not in spray solution but mixed with the othersone in to the water} Like i usually do, a little bit of everything at any watering 💧 And that's all.. Another week with amazing growth and progress, little bud sites dominating the plant now and thy fingers have begun getting sticky when defolling , a real sweet skunky smell starting to develop. Same same next week .
