Hello. Harvest report for Blackberry Moonrocks by Anesia Seeds. Started these seeds in February.
Started 8 seeds and I got a twin, which I separated, so I had 9 plants from 8 seeds. Cool, my first twin in 30 years of indoor growing.
I took 6 plants out to the greenhouse in March and was able to plant them in the big pots in April.
With the 10 x10 tent in the greenhouse I was able to keep the plants under 18 hours of light without the neighbor's seeing the light.
They grew SCRoG fashion, till June 1st, where they were turned over to flowering. With the help of the tent, I was able to keep them in 12/12 for the rest of the summer.
I also made some seeds with a, Panty Punch male, from Seed Stockers. I put the male in a different greenhouse while the girls flowered.
The plants grew well. They left a good smell on my fingers when I worked with them. They are very WPM resistant.
There were plants with WPM all around the greenhouse but none inside.
There were large to huge buds in the end. Plant #6 had the biggest buds, but had a lot of loose buds under the screen.
Plant #4 had the densest buds that were dense all along the branch.
The plants don't have the big berry taste I was hoping for. They have a bit of berry a bit of lavender and some fuel tastes when smoked.
The strongest plant got me buzzed not blasted. The breeders strain description said up to 33% THC, but these plants may have 17% to 23% THC
Sort of average for todays market. So,... Come on Anesia... stop advertising so high THC % when your plants can't produce that level.
I've noticed this in some other of your strains that I've grown.
Smokes nice... Get you stoned... Has big buds... Tastes good... Has a up stone.
Good Job Anesia
Thanks for looking in.
Chuck.
I bought these seeds.
Hello. Hear we are at the end of this diary.
Plants grew well. There were no real big problems. These plants are very white powdery mildew resistant. It passes on in the seeds I made.
I enjoyed growing this strain. It spread out well in SCRoG, and covered its area by flowering time, June 1st.
Grew well through the summer. I saw pests but none took hold except for the spider mites in the last weeks of flowering.
I sprayed them a few times to knock them down but they didn't cause much problems.
I was hoping for stronger finished pot. With the breeders description being up to 33% THC I thought I might get one strong plant.
Anesia is a good seed bank, but they have got to stop giving unreal THC percentages. None of the strains I've grown from them, has lived up to their hype.
This is good smoke, don't get me wrong... I just thought it might be stronger because of their advertising.
I made some regular seeds and I'd be happy to send you some Free Seeds if you will do a diary on them. 😃
The clones were crossed with a good Panty Punch male from Seed Stockers
I pollenated ... The White by Dr. Greenthumb
Amnesia Lemon by Barney
Critical by Barney
Pink Kush saved by ... me
And Plant #4 from the Blackberry Moonrocks run
So, direct message me if your interested, and pick a couple of strains you might do a diary on.
I'm just trying to be a better breeder and need your help... and it free...

Hello. After 30 years of growing, I've found my first twin. Can they be separated? Have you heard of it being done or have you done it or should I just cut the weaker stem out? What other advice can you give on this matter. Chuck.
Are they separate or conjoined? If so separate safely. If joined them I'd grow as is to see how it turned out. It's rare so a documented experiment would be interesting. If you are only growing that one then maybe start another.
I feel if you cut it off there is a big chance both will die. They are fragile.
Let em ride dude
Hello. I asked a question about twins a day ago. Gently dug down to find a root for each stem. Separation successful. My question now is - are they identical or not? I my mind they are, What do you think. Chuck.
genetic mapping.. no way to see a physical thing that results from the fertilized egg splitting or if there were 2 unique eggs fertilized to start.
might have a good guess, but can't be certain of it.
@Chuckwaggon420, Thanks Buddy. The buds are already a good size and I still have got 5 weeks to go. I'm hoping for more than 2 K out of this, this year. My biggest harvest from this greenhouse is 1.8 K a few years ago. Chuck.
@Inganjawetrust, Thanks. I built the greenhouse about 20 years ago, but when it was legalized in Canada I started growing in here. It was used for cactus's before that. Chuck.
@Ghrim, Thanks Buddy. Took some work but I finally got through it.
Took 7 days to cut down 9 plants. It took 5 days to cut down the 6 plants in the greenhouse.
@Inganjawetrust, Thanks Friend. Got a few 100 g branches when I was wet trimming at harvest.
It will take a few days to get it all into jars, but it's mostly dried and cured now. Got 316 g dry from the first plant I weighted up.
Thanks for looking in. How are you liking the comics? Good cannabis content for the diary.
Chuck.
@Chuckwaggon420, Hi Buddy. I've grown them all from seed. I've got some 20 year old ones that are about 4 inches across. I've got peyote seeds too if your interested but they are illegal in the states, so don't get caught. They flower with small pink flowers and are self pollenated so they just make their own seeds. I keep them in the small greenhouse where I pollenated the clones (see the video a couple of weeks ago). I also have 3 types of Trichocereus with san Pedro being one of them. My large greenhouse that I'm growing cannabis in now used to be filled with all sorts of cactus. Chuck.
@Chuckwaggon420, Thanks Buddy, I enjoy it when others enjoy it I think this is my 5 year, growing like this, in the greenhouse.
Each year I learn, and tweak the system a little better for the next year. Thanks Buddy. See ya around. Chuck.
Hi Chuck,
wow, thank you for your very detailed Diary for the Blackberry Moonrocks, iam still reading
If it comes to high THC rates, the keyword is Sinsemilla- but this is no real news for you
I enjoyed it, reading your Diary, and looking on the pictures of your garden- very lovely- thy for sharing
and such a nice Greenhouse Setup!
i really can see your devotion. passion and love for plants ( and pets)
my condolences for the passing of your Mum.
@Irati_Anesia, Hello. Thanks for that. Means a lot... and yes I love my cannabis and try to show it.
I'll hopefully starting some Vanilla Frosting of yours this winter and I want to try your M.A.C. in the greenhouse next summer.
I have some regular seeds of Mac and Crack from Seed Stockers to make some crosses with next year too.
Yes, I hear what you said about Sinsemilla, but the 3 plants I grew, inside didn't get pollenated and were about the same strength as the others.
A cannabis plant make only a few seeds per run that turn out to be "the great ones", it's those seeds that I'm after, but I keep getting the average ones.
I start more that one seed to get better odds of getting one of the great ones and I'm always hoping one of the seeds from the next strain will be one of the great ones.
I've also got Captain Future, Bola Mints, Future #1, and Slurricane to try, so I'm hoping to find a great one out all those good strains.
I get my seeds from Sensible Seeds and found your great deals in the 2024 seed collection section. Good deals on the 25 packs by the way. 😃 Thanks.
Thanks Friend.
Chuck
@Vichologo, Thanks Friend. Good of you to say. Seems this strain is White Powdery Mildew resistant.
I've got WPM on my peas, lilac bush and dandelion weeds but not in here.
Chuck.
