Any advice for the beginning of flowering? How do you see them?

They are bulking up a bit more. Still nice and bushy both, still think both will be female. Finally, colours are getting greener and they are filling out nicely. Last couple of weeks before harvest, when my tent is filled to the edges on all sides and the plants can only go up is the moment I will hit the switch to 12/ 12. After adding the nutrients and checking the EC, I ph'd the solution to 6.0 @ 74℉. 12/1- Today after doing some HST (twisting and bending branches), I went ahead and watered/fed her with 0.25g of well water with a base ppm of 100 that I allowed the excess to drain to waste. To the well water I added the following Dutch Pro nutrients: Bloom 'A' & 'B' @ 10ml/g each, Multi Total @ 7.6 ml/g, Silica Von Liebig’s Special @ 1.2 ml/g along with Earth Juice's Oily Can @ 5 ml/g to end up with a total 900ppm nutrient solution. Today all I did was take a quick video of her, check and rotate her pot and do a little HST on her main branches to keep her canopy as even as possible. 12/5- Well this little lady is getting big enough now to require daily watering as she's a very thirsty girl! I'm now watering until runoff daily with 0.25g of well water with a base ppm of 100 to which I added the following Dutch Pro nutrients: Bloom 'A' & 'B' @ 10ml/g each, Multi Total @ 7.6 ml/g, Silica Von Liebig’s Special @ 1.2 ml/g along with Earth Juice's Oily Can @ 5 ml/g to end up with a total 900ppm nutrient solution. Both plants have almost stopped growing in heigth now and are in full flowering mode now. Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) Plant #1 is 15 cm shorter than plant #2, but a little bushier. Both have grown very well and are strong and healthy. They get more and more flower clusters now and start to fill up all branches. Trichomes start to appear all over...the plants start to get sticky and develop a weak sweet aroma now. Its time to take off the biggest fan leaves now for defoliation, I took a round of pics before and after.

End of the second week of the stretch and pretty much as expected. One male has gone off early spilling pollen everywhere. The females Id say are a little behind this one but no real worries - we got another 2 males in there ready and waiting to burst at the right time👍. We’ve now pared down the whole tent for pollination and taken cuttings of each fem. Plant for a separate run. Best part there is that we have 3 identified phenos of both indica and sativa dominant traits so we’re gonna get a really even look at what the genetic has to offer, while at the same time being able to isolate desirable traits in the resulting F2 seed. Pretty sick outcome to date 🔥. We moved over to GHE nutes this week to save the Druid nutes for the fem run in the recirc system. Stronger brand for sure, but similar in value and ease. All told, everything is proceeding far better than expected. The rest is just praying that we found a kickass combination in the polyhybrid mix🤞. Till next week yall👊. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts.
