A good week for the pink lady, no issues, the heatwaves have subsided a bit and there is a cold front that moved in. The RH has been steady, between 50-55%. I have decreased the nutrients further to just a bit of micro and cal mag. I have begun my process of “flushing” where I increase the water volume to allow for a 10-15% runoff. I find that this does not strip or shock the plant of nutrients it is still needing to fatten up. I do this for the last 4-5 feeds ending with straight phd water.

Harvest time has come. It was an excellent cycle without any problems, in fact the plants were doing great and produced some beautiful buds. Now I will dry for 2 weeks plus cure for 1 month.

Hey yall, Temps were high, but under control now. My girls were droopy despite having moist soil. After a good compost tea they bounced right back. Pistol hairs are showing, haven't grown this specific cultivar before so the bud structure is a but different than others I am familiar with. Let's see what she does moving forward. I am not a super fan of these genetics. Already have new seeds I am ready to start once these ladies are done. Over all the Strawberry Diesel from Beaver Seeds is not a noob grow, you need to have your grow dialed in. And really be careful with PM. I am keeping humidity as low as I cam while still maintaining a decent VPD. Challenges with this strain definitely turns me off. Looking forward to a new cultivar, already have some genetics from Michigan, those cats are really something else, they are hellbent on being better than the West coast. And they are in my humble opinion 😌 ☺️ Pure Michigan looks good, also Honey Sticks Genetics out of Maine is killing it, their Bananaconda 4 tested over 40% total cannabinoids. They want like 3k per cut, so that won't be my next, but looking forward to new genetics nonetheless. Anyways made some new ferments, remember to use equal parts organic sugar, Jaggery is best, that is the closest form of sugar to the sugar cane plant. Cover with paper towel, 2 to 3 days later let gravity give you all that juice, don't squeeze it to get more. Keep that juice in the fridge, that is your food. Then add water to the solids and keep at room temperature for 3 months to make a vinegar. That is your cleanser. The strain is beautiful, the smell is very much a spicy meaty Salami type smell, its delicious. I'd defo grow this strain again, buds are very heavy. Orange Hill Special too is one I would defo grow again

She started flowering this week yay! Slowly upping the nutrients, have read so much about giving half strength of Fox Farms so I don’t want to over do it. Have a few leaves that have a few spots of discoloration, and I noticed the stems turning a bit purple but overall still really healthy! Overall going well! Going to keep upping the nutrients.

Welcome to my Runtz X Layer Cake Female Diary from Barneysfarm. Wk 9 Days 58-63 (device was lost, and all picture,video days 57-69 were lost, so here's my account) just had finished pre flower and started to stack heavily on building top bud sites. Laded with thich compact trichomes. She has bright orange hairs. That give of a lovely musk of armoas that take over your senses. 2/3rds down the main bud sites, very healthy huge sugar leafs surround her, but, if hasn't taken away from below, as the sites are smaller, but have so much frost. And she had at least 14-20 more days. Wk 10 days 64-70 As you can see. She has a beautiful shape. Some of the nicest looking bud I've yet grown. She took to LST really well. Had I lollipopped the heck out of her, and make for some pretty good solid top colas with some small dense bud sites that have 1/3 the trichomes to calyxs. The calyex to sugar leaf ratio is super low, but 2/3s down she has many large sugar leafs that have shaded out her canopy. But, by moving her around and adjusting LST and leaf tucking. I've literally done hardly any defoliation. Am going to squeeze some in this week. Not, that its needed. But, there is some still more growing to do down below. And if I leave her to mature without allowing light to hit her harder down further into the canopy I risk the chance of overcooking the hard earned Rock Hard half fist sized buds. Have a feeling this gonna be some of my best smoke to date. The plant is in tip top shape. No defiencies no toxicity. 1st time for me. Am just going to let her ride out the next 2 weeks on water.
