Ended up cutting all of the front left plant this week and majority of the back two plants. Guna let the lowers get some light for a few more days. Really noticing all the tiny ass buds. Hopefully I'll make something out of them. First run with a net and I just left way too many branches/bud sites for this size of plants they were. Buds look good though. Flushing last plant and will be cutting in a few days.

Nothing much to report, some tight buds are starting to form Week 4 day 4, the buds are definitely starting to take shape, and the trichomes are forming on the sugar leaves, pistils are still mostly light colored. I cant wait to watch these buds chunk up over the next few weeks.

. FIRST DAYS ------------- 3 of the girls have the perfect shape for topping. I’m going with a structure of 6 side branches for each of them. The one that’s a bit behind doesn’t allow me to plan for 6 branches for now, so I’m training 4 lateral branches and training the main cola; that will give a 5-branch star. As for the Quasimodo girl, it’s more complicated… 😶 Up to the 4th node she showed no symmetry, was developing big leaves with small branches, and was leaning to one side; so I cleaned off all those branches and leaves that looked like a lettuce, and I’m waiting to see what I can do with her this week. All 5 are moving to 3 ml Grow A, 3 ml Grow B, 2 ml Voodoo, and I’m switching to Plagron mineral CalMag at 1.5 ml. MIDWEEK ----------- The Triple Gs handle topping and training brilliantly 👌 In just four days, they had redeveloped large leaves and secondary shoots on every branch, which I cut while continuing the mainlining. I now have three beautiful plants with six branches; the late one is becoming a five-branch plant, and the Quasimodo will have four branches by bending three secondary branches and keeping the main cola.

🌿 Frosted Guava Auto by Zamnesia | Pheno B | Week 7 (Flower Week 4) 🌱 Small in Size, Huge in Character One of the things I've enjoyed most throughout this entire 8×8 Adventure has been watching two sisters grow side by side while expressing themselves in completely different ways. Same genetics. Same room. Same lighting. Same feeding program. Yet every week they continue reminding me that a phenotype is far more than a name on a seed packet. Frosted Guava Pheno B has never tried to become the biggest plant in the room. She simply became herself. Now, entering her fourth week of flowering, she's proving that elegance doesn't need size. Because what she lacks in height... She more than makes up for in beauty. 🌸 Week 4 Flower – Beauty Is Taking Centre Stage Standing at approximately 101 cm tall, Frosted Guava Pheno B remains one of the most compact Frosted Guava phenotypes in the room. Very little training has been needed throughout her life. Apart from some gentle Low Stress Training and the occasional leaf tuck to expose developing bud sites, she's been allowed to grow almost entirely according to her own natural architecture. Sometimes that's the best decision we can make as growers. Rather than forcing the plant into our vision, we simply help her become the best version of herself. And that's exactly what she's done. Her stretch has now almost completely finished, allowing her energy to move where it belongs. Into the flowers. ✨ A Plant That Simply Shines This week she's absolutely beautiful. It's difficult to describe any other way. The deep green foliage creates the perfect contrast against the explosion of bright white pistils that now cover nearly every flowering site. Every cola seems crowned with fresh white hairs reaching toward the light, while clusters of calyxes continue stacking a little more every single day. Even before the flowers gain serious weight, there's already an elegance about this plant that's impossible to ignore. She's one of those phenotypes that naturally catches your eye whenever you open the tent. Not because she's the largest. Because she's glowing. The structure remains wonderfully organised, with each branch carrying its own collection of developing flowers while maintaining excellent spacing throughout the canopy. Everything feels balanced. Everything feels intentional. 🍃 Healthy Leaves, Healthy Flowers One thing that continues standing out is the overall health of the plant. The foliage remains lush, vibrant and beautifully coloured, showing exactly the kind of rich green every grower hopes to see during early flower. Leaf posture remains excellent throughout the day, suggesting healthy transpiration, strong root activity and a plant that's completely comfortable in her environment. The stems continue thickening naturally while supporting an increasing number of flowering sites. Every new day seems to add another layer of flowers. Another handful of pistils. Another little promise of what's still to come. 💡 Light Above And Below Despite her compact size, she's still receiving approximately 1,000 PPFD across the canopy from the Future of Grow Black Series lighting system. For growers unfamiliar with the term, PPFD measures the amount of usable light energy reaching the plant each second for photosynthesis. Rather than simply making the room brighter, it allows us to provide the plants with the energy they need to maximise flower production without unnecessary stress. Below the canopy, the Lumiflora under-canopy lighting continues complementing the main fixtures by bringing light into areas that would otherwise become increasingly shaded as flowering progresses. The goal isn't replacing the top lighting. It's helping lower flowering sites receive additional energy so they can continue developing alongside the main canopy. The real results will come at harvest, but watching the entire room evolve with this lighting combination has been incredibly exciting. 💧 Hand Watering – A Different Kind Of Connection One major change over the past weeks has been irrigation. At this stage, every plant in the room is now being hand watered. It certainly requires more time than automated irrigation. Every watering means mixing nutrients, checking pH, monitoring EC, walking plant to plant and making sure each one receives exactly what she needs. It's more work. There's no question about that. But there's also something incredibly rewarding about it. Hand feeding creates moments to slow down. To observe. To notice the little details that might otherwise go unseen. Sometimes caring for the plants becomes just as enjoyable as watching them grow. Current feeding remains beautifully consistent: • Terra Bloom — 2 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L • Power Buds — 1 ml/L • Green Sensation — 1 ml/L Maintaining: • EC: 1.95 mS/cm • pH: 5.8 Sometimes consistency is the best nutrient we can provide. 🌡️ Environment The environment continues supporting healthy flower production throughout the entire room. Current conditions: • Day temperature: 29°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 60% • Root zone temperature: 21°C • Solution temperature: 21°C • CO₂: Approximately 639 ppm Environmental stability remains one of the biggest priorities inside this garden. The plants are flowering under a VPD that encourages healthy transpiration, while fresh household air constantly replenishes natural CO₂ levels through the ventilation system. There's no bottled CO₂ supplementation here. Just good airflow, proper ventilation and letting nature do what it does remarkably well. 👀 Looking Ahead The coming week should bring one of my favourite transitions of the entire flowering cycle. The bright white pistils will continue multiplying, individual flowers will begin merging together into more defined colas, and resin production should become noticeably heavier across the sugar leaves and surrounding calyxes. Although she isn't the biggest plant in the room, I genuinely believe she has the potential to become one of the prettiest by harvest. Every week she becomes a little more convincing. And I can't wait to see how she finishes. 🙏 Final Thoughts Frosted Guava Pheno B has become a wonderful reminder that every grow tells multiple stories. Some plants impress you with explosive growth. Others impress you with massive harvest potential. And then there are plants like this one. Plants that simply make you smile every time you walk into the room. She has grown naturally, confidently and gracefully from the very beginning, asking for very little while giving back an incredible amount of beauty. Watching these two Frosted Guava sisters develop side by side has been one of the highlights of this entire project, and I'm more excited than ever to see how each of them finishes their journey. 8/26/2023 Day 53 veg: Did a heavy defoliation today, along with some lollipoping. Also, chopped the cover crop again, then cut it up and mixed with 1 cup of BuildASoil Craft Blend, 1/2 cup of Clackmas Coot Gnarly Barley, and 4 cups of BuildAFlower, to make a top dress. Before top dressing I sprinkled 1/2 tsp OptiVeg around the base of the plant, then added the top dress. Finally, I sprinkled the top of the soil with Growing Organic Kashi Blend. Then I mixed up some filtered water with Jay Plantspeaker Quillaja, BuildASoil Big 6, BuildABloom, Rootwise Mycrobe Complete and Bio-Phos, Fermented Comfrey Extract, and Thrive Yah-Whey. I watered the top of the soil just enough to get the topdress moist. Finally, I added the plastic cover the the earthbox. I will do one more topdress once I'm in the early stages of flower, but plan to mainly use the subirrigation from here on out. Also took a few clones today. 8/29/2023: she is just starting to hit the screen. The reservoir still has water in it, so not much more to report. 8/30/2023: the reservoir was dry today, so I filled it with water at a 6.4 ph. Also mixed in some calmag, silica, and some Yah-Whey Thrive. 9/1/2023: just tucking under the screen trying to spead things out a bit more before flipping to flower.

Alright, the time is here, I’ve started the harvest but I don’t want to press the harvest button until I have all my info correct, but I’ll show some photos from my baby, we started a slow 6.0 flush about 2 weeks ago and finishing flush about 4 days ago. She was already fading but I had some problems since I fed her without thinking after having some drinks witch is obviously a very rookie move. But as I’m still learning it’s just another oof under the bridge, she was fading and I got some nice looking tricombs and I’m happy with the smell and size for her life cycle, I’m aiming for a slow dry and cure but my space is limited in my appointment and grow room so I have a drying tent set up but conditions could be hard to handle since the season change. Cheers. (And yes I didn’t wanna flush my auto but I figured it was the safest route.)

Day 99: Today marks the start of the last week for this journal! I keep watering them with RO water (0ppm) every 3 days. The runoff is gradually diminishing as the plants are utilizing the remaining nutrients present in the growing medium. The experience has been amazing so far, and I've definitely learned a lot. I'll probably be chopping these plants in one week... Damn guys, so excited to taste these beautiful buds! Tried to bring something different this time uploading a video instead of photos. But pictures are coming soon as well to best ilustrate whats going on. Cheers! Day 101: Took some new pictures today. Girls are looking good and smelling amazing. Cant wait to taste them. Day 103: We're getting real close to the finish line. Slapped a mini microscope onto my phone and took some pics of the trichomes. The bottom buds are mostly cloudy, and the top ones have a bit of amber action. Thinking maybe I'll give it another week before I pull the trigger on harvesting.

Very dense buds, the most dense I ever had .... I think .... They are ubersticky and have a super intense sweet smell (that covers the entire house by now 🤭👃) Really happy with this one... Could be one of my best outcomes in a very long time... Could be forever

The plants finally seem like they're picking up steam, with more noticeable growth every day. We're really surprised by the variation between Plant #3 and the others. All plants have been receiving the same light levels and watering but Plant #3 is super leggy! The space between 2 nodes is almost as much as the entire height of Plant #2. Day 22 - light levels have been slowly increased throughout week 3. We're now averaging 27k LUX across the canopy. - More LST on Plants #1 and #3, started some very minor LST on Plant #2. - We plan to do another magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) foliar feed, although we think that our last foliar feed did have some positive effect and the yellowing of the leaves has improved some. - These girls are also finally starting to become thirsty and i expect that we'll be increasing our watering frequency this week. - We've noticed that these plants tend to respond better to daytime temps between 78-83F. Under 78F and they seem to look and grow rather sluggish. We wonder if that has to do with the fact that LED lights do not provide any UV, therefore, in order to maintain optimal leaf surface temperature, the air temp perhaps needs to be slightly higher than if using CMH or HPS bulbs. It's just a theory but regardless of the science, we're aiming for 80-82F during veg. - We trimmed the lowest set of branch shoots off of Plant #2. It is so compact in there... 6 nodes in less than 2 inches of growth! The branches are all tiny so we're going to experiment a little and focus the growth on the main stem, leaving a few of the more robust looking branches. Day 23 - Watered with dechlorinated, aerated tap water, with approximately 1ml/gal of GHE's "CALiMAGic". pH adjusted to 6.5 - Continued LST on plants #1 & #3. We got a little too carried away with Plant #1 and ended up ever so slightly breaking the main stem! Luckily, it was just a small "gash" and we're confident it'll heal up quickly (see "Day 23" photo above). - As part of our LST treatment, we do leaf tucking as well, which seems to be having a positive effect on the development of some of those branches that are covered by the larger fan leaves. - Day 23 really was a day of mishaps... our air conditioner timer did not turn on again and for about 6 hrs the temperature inside the tent reached 87F. - Our HLG Elite 360 light fixture is now running at approximately 40-45% intensity, at about 32" above the canopy. Combined with the Sunblaster strip lights, we're getting approximately 28-30,000 LUX across the canopy. - I expect that we'll start seeing some pre-flowers/pistils within this next week, at which time we'll be looking at swapping the three 6400K Sunblasters with two 2700K Sunblasters, to supplement our main light. - Lastly, we did another magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) foliar feed at lights-out. We went a bit stronger than anticipated, with a 700ppm solution of dechlorinated, aerated tap water and approximately 1 teaspoon of epsom salts per gallon. We were aiming for about 400ppm, so hopefully 700 isn't too high! pH adjusted to 6.6 and applied with a fine mist spray bottle. Day 24 - Started LST on Plant #2, tied down main top, some leaf tucking. - Temp: 73-82F - RH: 45-60% - Lowered HLG Elite 360 light fixture by 1-2 inches, to approximately 30 inches above canopy. - Lowered the center Sunblaster LED strip by 1-2 inches. - LUX: 27-30,000+ - Our "light meter" app maxes out at 30,000 LUX, so we're unable to read anything above that... A proper light meter is on our wishlist! 👌 Day 25 - LST on Plant #2 - Lowered Elite 360 fixture to 28" above canopy. Increased intensity to approx. 50%. - LUX estimated at 29-32,000 across canopy. Day 26 - Plant #2 showing some light/heat stress. - Raised Elite 360 fixture up 2-3 inches. - Aiming for slightly lower temperatures of 78-80F, instead of 80-82F Day 27 - Watered with a 315ppm nutrient solution. Watered to approximately 10% runoff. Day 28 - Defoliation of a few fan leaves and small branches from Plant #1 & #2. - Plant #2 really seems to have some dwarf genetics showing up or something... very small branches and leaves... looking under-developed. We're a bit concerned that she won't have what it takes to put on weight. - Temperatures have been swinging a bit further than we'd like, reaching down to 73F during lights off and occasionally getting up to 84F during lights on. Most of the time the temp sits between 79-80F. - Pistils are definitely showing on Plants # 1 & #2, with Plant #3 the furthest behind in pre-flower (but also the largest plant!). - Week 4 to week 5 is typically where we've run into nutrient deficiency and excess issues, so we're really hoping this coming week goes smoothly.

This week has been wild. I had to cut the sides of the greenhouse as the plants had it bursting at the seams. These girls are all flowering beautifully and starting to frost up. Happy Growing.

As of day 14, the Blackberry Kush is still exhibiting it's abnormal leaf growth. I've only ever seen this on another genetically purple strain, so I am curious if there is a connection. If anyone has seen similar issues in their own plants let me know! It's growth hasn't been too bad, and I am sure it's going to continue to take off over the next week! I usually top my plants between day 14 and 21, so i am hoping it is growing vigorously enough to prevent any stunting. I haven't seen any adverse effects from temporarily switching to my plentiful dry cal-mag, so I am happy about that so far! I am still adding a similar EC worth of Cal mag (.5) so it's good to have dialed in a rough equivalent. I hope everyone is staying safe, and happy growing! 👍🌱 Day 15: the leaf growth continues to be very screwy, and even if it's at least partially a genetic issue I continue to triple check all my practices and parameters. The PH drifts up mildly in my reservoirs between cleaning/remixing of nutrients, but it is going from roughly a 5.8 up to a 6.2 (at worst) with no change in the EC/PPM. Between the lack of EC drift and lack of smell, I don't think there are any major bacterial issues. The outflow PH is also acceptable (5.8) and the outflow EC is around .2-.3 above inflow, which is also acceptable. I dug into the coco a little bit, and the medium is not oversaturated with water (it is always a bit "fluffy" with good drainage and never compacted) and the roots are white and healthy. With the healthy vigorous growth of the other Blackberry in the same conditions, it brings me back to this being at least partially a genetic issue. I looked through grow questions of other diaries for similar leaf issues, and it seemed that most were either blueberry or blackberry strains from a range of breeders. This could be purely a coincidence, but it does make me wonder. The grows with similar issues seemed to otherwise have no commonalities in how they were grown. I am going to keep trying my best with this plant regardless, so I hope it pulls through alright! Day 17: being very careful with my PH and keeping it a bit lower, to rule it out as a possible cause of the twisted leaves and less vigorous growth. I am keeping it between 5.5 and 6 for the time being to make sure there is no lock out of micro elements like boron. As per the comments, I am being more accurate be using a pH pen as opposed to drops which I may have misjudges. I topped the plant, which is definitely a risk! But I am hoping for some healthier leaves to come in, and the plant hasn't stunted so far! It has grown the number of nodes it should have for its age, it just not as filled in and lush as I would like it to be. Day 19: I have been monitoring PH especially carefully, taking a few measurements per day and keeping it between 5.6 and 5.8 (a little on the low side). The runoff is consistently under 6 as well. EC and other conditions have stayed where they should be as well. I reduced any PH drift by running the air pump for the res 24/7, instead of just for mixing and before fertigations to rule that out. But I haven't seen any overall improvements for the leaves so I am reverting back to my theory of a genetic issue with this particular plant. It's growing larger and it's stems are thickening, so I'm just going to keep it growing as well as I possibly can and see what it yields!

*Week 4 Flowering 09/17* Blimburn - Apple Fritter (1) - 47 Inches Seedsman - Crititcal +2.0 (1) - 47 Inches Thus far no issues or concerns - Both plants are growing accordingly and are growing vigorously, Bud-sites are coming in heavy. Still growing in length. *Week 4 Flowering End of Week 09/23* Both Apple Fritter/Critical+2.0 have appeared to stop growing in length but have expanded in width in regards to the bud site development. Bud sites are blooming accordingly and trichome development seems to be coming along nicely as well. Welcome growfessors to another episode of growfessor theatre, 4x4 edition! Flush time, just water for LSD, Green Crack and Mandarin dreams!! Do-si-dos gets another week of feed before flush. I'm very impressed with the bud sizes, trichomes and smell of each plant, mandarin dreams is especially ooozing with resin, it's almost like liquid soap touching your skin.
