# Purple Haze Auto Pheno A by Zamnesia 🌱💜 ## Week 1 | Building Momentum Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Welcome back to another update from the 12/12 From Seed project. As with the rest of this run, Purple Haze Auto Pheno A spent her first week establishing roots, adapting to her final container, and beginning the transition from seedling to young vegetative growth. Although every plant in the room shares the same environment, genetics always find their own way of expressing themselves. And during this first week, this little lady already began showing some of her personality. --- ## The Beginning Like the rest of the garden, Purple Haze Auto Pheno A was transplanted directly into her final 15-liter container filled with Plagron Lightmix. This approach allows the plant to establish itself without requiring additional transplants later in life. Every transplant introduces some degree of stress, even when performed carefully. By placing the seedling directly into her final home, the objective is simple: Allow uninterrupted root development from the very beginning. During this stage, most of the important work happens below the soil surface. While the seedling appears small above ground, the root system is actively exploring its new environment and laying the foundation for future growth. --- ## Environment Environmental conditions remained stable throughout the week. Temperatures averaged approximately 27°C during lights-on and 25°C during lights-off. Relative humidity remained around 55%. The nutrient solution was maintained at pH 5.99 with an EC of approximately 0.46 mS/cm. Root zone and solution temperatures remained close to 21°C. Lighting was provided under the Future Of Grow Black Series LED system running the 12/12 From Seed methodology used throughout this project. As always, the goal at this stage is not explosive growth. The goal is healthy establishment. Strong roots first. Everything else follows. --- ## Early Development One of the interesting observations during the first few days was the appearance of slightly unusual leaf formation on the earliest leaves. This is something occasionally seen in young seedlings and is often simply part of the natural variability that appears during early development. Rather than becoming more pronounced, those initial irregularities gradually faded as the plant continued growing. By the middle of the week, new growth was already emerging cleaner and more symmetrical. This is exactly why patience is so important during the seedling stage. Young plants often correct themselves as they mature. --- ## Building Structure As the week progressed, Purple Haze Auto Pheno A showed steady and consistent development. The first true leaves expanded nicely. Growth remained compact and controlled. Internodal spacing stayed tight. Leaf color remained healthy and vibrant throughout the observation period. What I particularly enjoyed seeing was the posture. Several photographs show the leaves reaching upward toward the light, a small detail that often reflects a comfortable and actively growing plant. Nothing dramatic. Nothing excessive. Simply healthy growth. --- ## Three Fingers Appear By the end of the week, the first well-defined three-finger leaves had emerged. For me, this is always one of the most satisfying milestones of early growth. It marks the moment when the seedling begins leaving behind its earliest stages and starts developing the recognizable structure that will define the plant moving forward. The bird's-eye photographs show this progression beautifully. The canopy is beginning to widen. The new growth is accelerating. And the next stage of development is already taking shape. --- ## First Week Impressions So far, Purple Haze Auto Pheno A has been a pleasure to watch. Healthy color. Compact structure. Strong posture. Good vigor. And steady progression throughout the week. The slightly unusual early leaves appear to be fading into the background as the plant continues to establish itself and push forward with increasingly normal growth. At this stage, she feels like one of those plants that quietly gets to work without asking for much attention. And sometimes those are the ones that surprise us later. --- ## Looking Ahead With the first three-finger leaves now established, the focus shifts toward continued root expansion and vegetative development. The coming weeks will reveal more about her structure, growth pattern, and overall vigor as she continues her journey under the 12/12 From Seed schedule. For now, everything is moving exactly as hoped. A healthy start. A strong foundation. And another promising chapter beginning. Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along on another seed-to-harvest adventure. Grower's Love everyone. 🌱💚

I got a smart plug for my humidifier and modded the button with an Arduino so that it turns on automatically when powered. Now I have events in my home Assistant on raspberry pi which will keep the VPD within a specified range. Every since then, the plants have been SO much happier and I have piece of mind now. I'm hoping these plants can pull through the stress, but I planted 4 more bag seeds just in case, they will sprout soon. I did some LST because why not. Accidentally broke a stem but I squeezed it together so now I have to pray.

Week 7 began! She’s gaining in bud size and smalls already crazy good. Until now I’m really happy with the genetic. She’s doing great and never had the feeling that she couldn’t take the stress. I mean the pod is only 5liters(1.3gallons) large and the conditions are not the best. Great genetic so far.

Grow Diary: Durban Poison Girls (Week 6) Dates: April 17 – April 23, 2026 Status: Vegetative Stage Overview The girls (DP1, DP4, DP5, and DP6) are looking robust and vibrant as they hit their stride in Week 6. The foliage is a healthy, deep green, and the stem strength has significantly improved this week. We are maintaining a strong indoor environment while watching the Easter Colorado weather closely to time their move to the deck. Weekly Environmental Log The weather was a bit of a rollercoaster this week. While indoor temps remained stable, the external conditions impacted humidity and light intensity coming through the windows. • Temp/Humidity: Consistent indoor temps at 22°C–24°C. Humidity was slightly lower this week due to the breezy outdoor conditions, requiring a bit more frequent misting to keep the "Sweetener" uptake optimal. • Weather Highlight: April 17 was quite chilly (5.5°C), but by the 20th, we saw a beautiful spike to 26°C. The girls enjoyed the extra natural light boost from the back porch windows during those sunny afternoons. Feeding & Maintenance We stayed the course with the organic regimen this week to ensure no nutrient lockout before the big transplant. • Nutrients: Half strength FOOP Veg and Sweetener administered on Tuesday (April 21). • Watering: Soil was drying out faster this week as the root systems expanded. Switched to a slightly heavier watering volume to ensure the 50/50 soil blend stayed moist but well-aerated. Plant Observations • DP1 & DP5: Showing the most vertical growth. Might need a final top above the fourth node if they continue to stretch toward the light panel before Mother's Day. • DP4: Very bushy! The LST is creating a nice wide structure that will fill out the 25-gallon fabric bag perfectly. • Pest Control: The African marigold seedlings are coming along nicely—no signs of fungus gnats or mites on the Durban girls. Upcoming for Week 7 • Prepare the 25-gallon fabric bags with the 50/50 Miracle-Gro mix. • Monitor overnight lows; we are still about three weeks out from the safe "after Mother's Day" transplant date. • Begin checking the "Garden" calendar for hardening-off windows.

Ci aggiorniamo a inizio risciacquo!
