Starting flushy flushy These are not the biggest buds but they are extremely dense and the citrus smell is intoxicating. This was kind of a unique grow experience the way that I trained this plant. The canopy is even for the most part and good airflow between branches and was very easy to maintain but I believe the yield will be affected due to insufficient lighting, nute burn a little neglect on my part. The quality is on point. Small compact nugs. Heavy trichomes present and the smell is fire. So not a heavy yielder but this lady will impress the senses either way. I tested a nug and was extremely impressed how much the citrusy smell was present with exhale was so refreshing. Well its another update from down under.. and things are getting better with the Caramelo. She got badly burnt from my mistake of using too strong lime sulfur spray to treat spider mites and mold issues before they could take hold. And its kinda worked. lols...the mites are still there but reduced alot in number but I was almost ready to chop her after I saw how badly burnt all her new shoots were. But Im glad I decided to wait a bit as she has recovered faster than expected and while im sure she still has issue at the root level from the rain drenching her for near on a week- she basically stunted after that and never showed much stretch at all when switching to flower-she grew maybe 15cms in height total after that so Im assuming some kind of root rot has her and any harvest will be a bonus. In saying that Im still not going to be suprised if she suddenly dies or gets badly infected with bud rot out of the blue as Im nursing her hard just to get her to this stage and in my experience a nursed plant may produce a yield but it will be weaker than its meant to be and reduced by around 50% of the yield you should have got. if she was indoor id have ripped her out after the sighs she was stunted presented and started over with a new plant. But out doors I dont have that luxury so I will nurse her thru and hope for the best but expect less than average results. Zkittles though is loving life and just LOOK at her!! When you realize she was the same size as the Caramelo when the rain hit and now look at the difference- thats why i say when you see obvious signs of stunting-rip the plant if you can and start over, it may recover but if it was serious then the plant will never show its true potential and you may think those genetics are shit. Ive never grown the Caramelo before now so if i judge it on this result I will say the genetics are shit when the plant likely had root rot from 3 weeks before even switching to flower. And the BC buds hash plant is FINALLY flowering too now. For a 90% indica it sure is taking the longest to flower. I wonder if its the old school genetics at play here-This strain been around since the 70's while the ZkittleZ is a modern hybrid so maybe the newer genetics really are all they are cracked up to be. Thats why I love doing side by side grows out doors with diff genetics and see what they can really do. You should see my mates BC hashys- lmao, he said he wanted bigger plants than last year as he got "bonsai" plants from someone else. Now he has to tie down trees that are growing over his 6ft fence!! And they only just went into flower last week. But on that note- Will update more now as things progress towards harvest. 143gr for the Larger pheno and 97 for the shorter, very respectable yield in total for 3 Wk Veg. Total 240gr even they each had 1.5’x1.5’ of space. Big yielder, buds are 10/10 & very easy to grow . Could be prone to mold in an uncontrolled environment.

Buds are stacking real nice and the trichomes keep coming like sprinkled white snow. I cleaned up the bottom one more time. the purples colours are starting to show up on the upper leaves. I will be top dressing this next week and it will be the last before harvest.

Day 139! (08 February 2020) Spider mites seem under control, but with long flowering bitches like these I start worrying for mold in the last weeks of flowering because it's very rare to have a humidity lower than 60% throughout the year in this country. I took a sample to dry and test how it is going, I found a broken shoot (I don't know how it happened) and I removed it for drying. Luckily, it was a shoot containing lower buds and it was not even heavy. But for the sake of trying how she is going, in some way I celebrate this... Also I removed the portion where I firstly saw that white mold was forming, before it spreads its f*cking spores everywhere. I reduced fertilizer from 0,4 g/L to 0.2 g/L as for ripening time. She's started to lose vigor, she's entering senescence and her time is coming, after seeing her every day in the last months, we're kind of a long time relatives. I see she's aged almost enough for harvest. Day 140 It's the lady's last month and Just hope I wouldn't lose any bud because of mold. Spider mites is a controlled infection but it worries me not. Also I regret having had to use neem oil for the f*cking spiders, I wish that the chemicals in it wouldn't impart an odd taste to the buds. I won't do any other drench until harvest, flush mediated.

Week 7 Flower We've finally started flush 💦 on Day 43. I still run EM1 at 1ml/ltr as it goes a long way once activated/stretched. It's always going to be a benefit to keep any microbes you can in the coco. You can also use Mammoth P throughout flush, but due to its price I just stick to EM1 in flush. There's plenty of other microbes that can be used too. I flush around twice the pots' volume at 6pH. But before flooding the pot I slowly pour water through the centre of the pot, around the stem, in order to take a true reading of the ppm and pH of the run off. If the ppm/ec reads a lot higher than your average feeding throughout bloom, then there's been issues such as a lockout, incorrect pH, over feeding etc. This wasn't the case, as this girls' was at the right level. If the pH is too high or low, I adjust the pH of the rest of the water that'll be flushed to try to fix it. Again, this wasn't the case with this girl as she had a perfect pH 👌👍 Just before all of the water has gone through the pot, I take one last reading from her last bit of run off. The ppm should be down to no more than 100ppm for the first flush (+starting ppm of water if using tap water). After the first flush the ppm value of the run off will quickly go all the way down to 0, or at least below 50ppm (+tap water ppm). I use tap water that is between 150-190ppm, but I'm looking to switch to RO as soon as I can. I still get a very good flush, but I think using RO water will be the next step in getting a more thorough flush as it won't contain even the small amount of nutrients and metals that tap water contains (along with any harmful chemicals). Always remember to bubble or let the water sit for 24-48hrs before feeding to your plants. That goes for all feedings in every stage of growth if using tap water. Because I keep fairly low temps in the Den she's starting to turn a beautiful dark purple. Her buds are still swelling and smelling like a nice gassy OG, with hints of citrus/tropical fruits. I'm really looking forward to taking this girl down, but after at least another week! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

Auto Northern Dragon Fuel grew really well in a small potter of a gallon and a half. I unfortunately had too much nitrogen in her system during flowering. This effeced my yield some. The flower that is there has a great cherry wood diesel smell. It was also very frosty and looks potent. I should get several ounces for sure once it is processed.
