Week 8 – The Lemon OGs keep packing on the weight 🍋🔥
Another week down and these ladies are just getting chunkier and chunkier. Buds are swelling nicely, pistils are still mostly bright, and the frost is spreading like powdered sugar on everything. Trichomes are stacking, smell is turning into that sweet citrus haze punch that makes you wanna just stand there and breathe it in.
Feed for the week was simple and on point – keeping them happy without overcomplicating things. I’m pushing them a bit before my upcoming vacation, making sure they’ve got everything they need to finish strong while I’m gone. Lights are still blasting 480W full power from the two KingBrite P55s, and they’re soaking it all up without complaint.
Temps max out around 28°C, humidity is steady, and the canopy is looking even. A few lower leaves are fading, which is perfect for this stage. Some branches already needed a bit of support – fat cola problems, amigos 😎👌🏼
If they keep going like this, we’re looking at some heavy jars after chop. But for now, it’s all about letting them do their thing. 🌿💚

The plants continue to grow although slowly. I turned the Gavita back on this week and even at 42 inches it seems to be too much light at full power because although they're getting adequate nutrients, the leaves appear to be showing signs of damage to the chlorophyll pigments. I'd like to splurge and get the adapter and controller so that I can dim the light and slowly increase the intensity to allow for a more gradual photo acclimation period, but I will probably hold off until my next run. I've also considered adding supplemental Co2 to help the plants more effectively tolerate and take advantage of the light intensity, but it seems like a big expense for an uncertain benefit considering all of the other variables that are sub-optimal. Perhaps I'll give those Excellofizz Co2 pucks a try. Someday I'll build sealed grow room with automated Hvac, feeding, and Co2 enrichment but for now I'll soldier on and hope for the best as the flip to 12-12 approaches.

Only fed twice this week, lots of drying back for the roots to rebound. Really trying to force that dense root ball to develop before flowering. Lots of heavy growth coupled with heavy defoliation and LST for the mainline. Growth looks like its getting back on track!

Veg Week 3
The Plants
DAY 22 - Transplanted T.O.5. Not Root Bound, but definitely could see the bright white roots all around the container. The plant started stretching almost immediately. So cool to see plants move.
DAY 26 - Finished Transplanting for this week-- T.O. 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13 to ~1 gallon pots.
Watering
Starting watering every day toward the end of the week (Day 26). Days are starting to get warmer. Growing in fabric pots in Southern California typically requires daily watering starting in June. I've learned through the years that the plant just sucks up the water and boosts in size. The more water you can give it without rotting the roots - the bigger the plant. There are still differences in strains - some plants just like to get dry before the next drenching. Couple more weeks until the June solstice (June 20).
Nutrients
Building up the arsenal in my cupboard--Bud Candy + Overdrive from AN, Kelp Meal from Down To Earth. I usually don't add too much stuff because the soil is fairly loaded from the bag.

She is doing well, all the other stuck a bit because of heavy deflotation i made last week🤷♂️😅
The small one in the middle is an Banana clone, which i made just for Fun. (I tested to clone with biobiss root juice, it took 5 days to root) 😁
Maybe someone have some experience with secret jardin tled can can tell me how far i should place them? 😅

Quite good result considering that she only got around 6h of sunlight, the buds didn't grew too big but they have a lot of THC, this is perfect for people who live in the city and just want to grow some small plants on the balcony without getting too much attention, the smell was really sweet and she offers a good resistance against bugs, and i didn't even applied any insecticide.
We are going to use this plant to do a fresh frozen extraction 😁

Anche lei è l'ultima settimana di lavaggio radici.......oggi 29/09/2024 taglio questa Ayahuasca purple...ha un profumo fortissimo....
Oggi probabilmente inizierò a pulire tt le cime e poi.via un taglio netto 😂🤣😜👍💪

I saw the first pre flowers today. She looks healthy, great growing.

And then their were two. I culled the last Permanent Apples. Just wasn't happy with what I was seeing. That leaves 2 Apple Junky to finish the run. Obviously two different phenos going on with them. I'm glad I didn't use a 3 gal pot for the big girl. She would have gotten out of control I think.

These gals are in flower. Each about 2 ft tall. Milky way still shows nutrient issues but is doing OK. I scrooge Medusa with a peony cage and took off some leaves. She is very branchy but against my normal process, I won't take off the inner branches.

Welcome to my Seedsman grow. This is my first real attempt at growing from purchased seeds. I didn't know too much about genetics when I bought these but hopeful they turn out dope. The idea was to have the tent filled with drastically different colored buds 😅I like symmetry
D1 - 9.13 - 3 fem White Widow Fast and 3 fem Black Sugar (Soaked/toweled) were dropped in to solo cups with bottom 1/3 NLS super soil and top 2/3 Fox Farms.
D4 - 9.16 - We got sprouts 100%
D6 - 9.18 - Third set of leaves making their move. Seedling station light is Phlizon 600W LED. I have it at 18in with full spectrum on.
D7 - 9.19 - Growin

Looking so delicious 😋 buds coming along nicely these girls are getting so frosty and giving off a sweet creamy lemon smell. Full trichome heads everywhere this week (still all clear of course) Buds getting denser and stickier by the day can’t touch them without my fingers sticking together. Did a heavy defoliation and a little more lollipopping earlier this week..I’m more than impressed with these genetics! Even with the tent closed I can smell them from the next room already.
- Day 47 update I just bought a Blue Lab ph pen and some Terpinator at my local Hydro shop and they gave me some free Dyna Gro mag pro so I will be adding both to my feeding schedule.
