I'll be updating the comment with the daily log shortly, but figured I'd get the photos and weekly overview up. I started off this week with a topping at about the 4th node, leaving the larger fan leaves on for now. I then left then alone for a bit while I waited for the new branches at the nodes to grow out, rotating as needed. By the end of the week, they had all bushed back up with new foliage and growth. I also included photos pf the flowering mother plant to keep up with that sneak peak. She still wasn't showing signs of flowering, so I gave her an extra 24 hours of darkness to hopefully kick start the process. As I went to go shut unplug the light source, I noticed that there was a smaller light leak from one of the vent ports, so I also made sure to close that up. At the end of the week when she started to show signs of flowering, I defoliated her to help with light penetration, as she's got massive fan leaves. You'll see in the photos that I took that opportunity to decarb the trim as well. I'm sure there's little to no THC-A, but whatever other compounds are present should make for a nice addition to some butter later on down the road. I just won't factor it in when approximating the potency of the final product.

~ GG4 SHERBET FAST FLOWER by FastBuds ~ Well fam, here we go again with another epic strain from FastBuds Fast Flowering stable. After having such tremendous success growing their Gorilla Cookies Fast Flower outdoors last year, I've decided to run another of their fast flowering strains outdoors this year... GG4 Sherbet Fast Flower! The best description of this awesome cultivar comes directly from my friends at FastBuds which is as follows: "Bred from extremely potent and flavorful Gorilla Glue and Orange Sherbet genetics, GG4 Sherbet FF (Fast-Flowering) takes all the best traits to the next level, offering a high-yielding strain that can produce up to 600 g/m2 in a 7-week flowering time. This super resilient Indica-leaning hybrid thrives indoors and outdoors, and in all types of climates while producing mouth-watering sweet, fruity, spicy and earthy terps that translate into a delicious sugary hazelnut aroma. Expect an extremely relaxing and overall happy effect thatโ€™ll leave you with a huge smile from ear to ear. Itโ€™s the perfect strain for growers of all levels of experience seeking low-maintenance yet highly productive photoperiod varieties that deliver quality and quantity without extra effort. GG4 Sherbet FF grows chunky buds with long dark orange hairs and spade-shaped calyxes that get encrusted with trichomes by harvest time, giving them a gorgeous silvery-white appearance. This medium-sized photoperiod can reach up to 200 cm in height and yields up to 650 g/m2 while developing that typical hybrid structure. GG4 Sherbet FF grows with a stocky, bushy appearance, developing one sturdy main cola and fat side branches that support huge yields without much effort. This super-fast variety produces distinctive light-green buds with a high bud-to-leaf ratio, making your trimming sessions a breeze. Itโ€™s a top-notch resin producer that doesnโ€™t need much maintenance and will thrive in almost every climate, rewarding growers of all levels with extremely flavorful resin that makes for outstanding hash end extracts." ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: This is going to be an outdoor grow, but I have started the GG4 Sherbet Fast Flower indoors as our weather is still too cold to put her outside (nighttime temp's dipping regularly into the 30'sโ„‰). The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures stay above the mid 40'sโ„‰, at which point she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes, and then let the fun begin!๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ’š ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 4/25- Week Four... here we go! The GG4 Sherbet Fast Flower from FastBuds has her 6th set of leaves now and is looking nice and healthy. She has good color and her growth is beginning to pick up. I have also noticed that something has decided that she's tasty as I have begun to notice holes in her shade leaves that look like they were chewed. 4/27- All is well with the GG4 Sherbet FF. Today I checked the moisture of the soil and decided to water via the garden hose with well water along with a good drink of fresh Compost Tea. 4/29- Rain showers today took care of my watering duties! Yesterday I sprayed her down with Neem Oil to see if it helps to mitigate whatever is beginning to chew on her leaves. 5/1- Well there's another fairly slow week for the GG4 Sherbet FF from FastBuds. Our weather is beginning to warm up and I'm looking forward to seeing this little lady take off! There's another week for the little GG4 Sherbet FF. I'm really anticipating seeing her take off once our weather gets a bit warmer! Hope to see you next week... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Things are getting serious now!๐Ÿ”ฅ #2 has developed an insanely large main bud, absolutely packed with trichomes and giving off a super pungent aroma. ๐ŸŒฟ Meanwhile, #1 keeps stretching and is still the biggest plant in the tent. It continues to give off that stunning sweet, tropical scent, which is just unreal! Both plants seem to be moving fastโ€”I have a feeling they might be ready in about two weeks. Letโ€™s see how they finish up! ๐Ÿคฉ

KINDA DISPPOINTING THIS TIME. REALLY TOUGH TO GROW OUTDOORS. JUST SO MANY VARIABLES NOT UNDER MY CONTROL. ALL THE GALS WERE GROWING AT DIFFERENT PACE. ALSO I USED A DIFFERENT SOIL THIS TIME. SO THAT COULD HAVE EFFECT THE GROW. I SHOULD REALLY JUST GROW AUTOS INDOORS WHICH IS WHAT IM USED TO. I TEND TO VEG PHOTOS OUTDOORS THEN BRING INSIDE TO FLOWER. SAVE MORE ENERGY. BUT THE PROBLEM IS JUST BRING PEST INSIDE THE TENT. ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BATTLE. MORE I DO THE MORE I LEARN. STILL FAR FROM FINISH. NOT A GOOD HARVEST THIS TIME. I'LL SAVE THE REST AUTOS INDOORS NEXT TIME.

She is building buds. I think it needed more space to reach its full potential, we'll see when I run it again. Given it's size, it's doing really well. Plenty of buds.

๐ŸŒฑ Week 10 Veg โ€“ The Final Stretch Before Flowering! ๐ŸŒฑ This might just be the last week of veg, and what a journey itโ€™s been! The garden is thriving, each plant showing off its unique structure and character. But the big news this week? A nutrient program switch! ๐Ÿ’งโœจ Iโ€™ve transitioned from the Aptus Holland Organic-Mineral program to the Clean program, setting them up for a smooth ride into flower. This move is all about prepping the plants for peak efficiency in their next phaseโ€”getting them used to their long-term diet early. ๐Ÿ’ก So, whatโ€™s in the mix now? Letโ€™s break it down: ๐Ÿ”น Regulator โ€“ The foundation. This ensures optimal nutrient uptake, strengthens cell walls, and helps plants handle environmental stress like a champ. Plus, it stabilizes pH from the get-go, which is why it always goes in first. ๐Ÿ”น System Clean โ€“ Think of this as a reset button for the root zone. Keeps irrigation lines clear, prevents biofilm buildup, and ensures nutrients are delivered without obstruction. A must-have for maintaining a pristine growing environment. ๐Ÿ”น RO Water Conditioner โ€“ With a mix of rainwater and dehumidifier-collected water, this ensures the right balance of minerals while neutralizing any potential issues. Hydration is key, but quality hydration is the real game-changer. ๐Ÿ”น All-In-One Liquid โ€“ This is where the power punch comes in. A full-spectrum nutrient solution that keeps everything in balance, providing essential elements for vigorous growth as we near the flip. ๐Ÿ’ญ Why switch now? The pellets that were feeding the soil are officially depleted, meaning the Clean program takes over full-time. This ensures a seamless transition into flower without any shocks or deficiencies. Smart planning makes for stronger plants and better yields! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿš€ Other highlights this week: โ€ข One of the plants is getting some light bondage trainingโ€”a little stress now means big rewards later. Letโ€™s just hope sheโ€™s a female and not a sneaky male in disguise! ๐Ÿคž โ€ข Every plant is looking unique and fantastic, showing off their potential. ๐ŸŒŸ Next Up? If all goes to plan, flower time is coming! Get ready for spectacular structure, stretching, and the next evolution of these beauties! Big love to the community, growers, supporters, haters, and legendsโ€”we keep pushing forward! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’š Genetics - Mentha De Croco https://terpyz.eu/products/menta-de-croco-fern-type?_pos=1&_sid=e9237cbcb&_ss=r DogDoctorOfficial Discount Codes @ terpyz.eu - DOCTOR 15% off Nutrition - @aptusholland https://aptus-holland.com/ Led Power @ F.O.G. Week Seven Flipping to flower was a good idea because of the 6 plants in this little space. They all got into stretch and I had to adjust the light a few times. The gorilla cookies (front right) is the smallest and slowest, the gg4 sherbet is also pretty small (back mid), the orange sherbet. (Frond mid) almost catched up to the other older plants. The sfv purps (front left) stretched a bit, some sidebranches shot up, which is very nice. The gelato (back left) stretched more than the sfv and shows nice flowers starting to grow. The bagseed (back right) shot up the most with 3 big colas. All plants got a topdessing and mulch from hemp clippings. I water every to every other day with 0,5 to 1 liter. The tent got filled up pretty fast and Iโ€™m fighting the urge to defoliate. Plan to wait till day 21 of flower. Thanks for reading.

To think I thought she was stunted! Doing really well this week, temps are skyrocketing where Iโ€™m at and will remain high this week. We had a lot of rain earlier this week, which seems to have helped her, but also brought some fungus gnats around. Iโ€™ve been using yellow traps + am going to let this heat finish drying out the top layer of soil.
