February 12, 2020 (DAY 81) - WHAT UPPPPP!!!! here we are folks another update. i honestly dont even know if she is almost ready or not, buds arent really fattening anymore lol, trics are all super milky. i think she is getting flushed starting this weekend. this will be the last feed then its onto that FLAWLESS FINISH by ADVANCED NUTRIENTS. hopefully im making the right choice......maybe another week wouldnt hurt....

Its finally done! So on the next days buds will continue to dry regularly in their jars. The total weight of the two wedding cake was (82g)..on the next few weeks I will continue to check their weight, while the total weight of their trim was 34.1g which i will use them asap in order to wash some hash. I did some tests with some small buds to feel the flavors and get an idea of what I would expect.. I was struck by how different the two wedding cakes are. with both the smell and the look of the buds. I will post other updates with photos in the coming days! Thanks fam for the support! 💚

Grow was strong. Had some concerns regarding the autos and thier timing as far as switching into flower and not being 100% in sync with one another. It's just the nature of the genetics sometimes. Pics taken on day 36. Some, if not most of these are lightly seeded, I've checked for herms but cant find no nuts. Sucks but from what I've read and people I've talked to seems like it wont be too big of a deal in the end, some old school growers even prefer lightly seeded nugget, I've never tried it intentionally. The green buzz nutes are working well. I'm almost out of the more PK so I had to add herculean harvest liquid bonemeal to get the ppm where i want it while trying to conserve the Gbl to last the rest of the run. Didnt have the lady to take my pics today so I was limited and had to take them lefty one handed and was shakey af. #1 is killin it, havnt found seeds in her, stinks like citrus skunk #2 is fattening up I defoliated a little for space. Also smells citrus #3 was the runt but now shes lookin pretty good very solid structure heavy resin

It is getting real bushy in there and i have some thirsty plants. Tent is getting pretty packed and the stretch is on. I might have to water almost everyday, I suspect them to be on the edge of rootbound. Should have went with 14 liter pots or might even 18. Smell is amazing and they are starting to get sticky when i pick fan leaves. Defoliation is coming at the end of next week tho. But it is really bushy i have been picking tons of leaves so far. Tempted to strip them sooner than 21 days into flower but we will see.

Another week for the first-time sailor. I started doing LST as I'm a beginner unfortunately my lack of skill took 3 leaves but the plants apparently did not feel the stress as they continue to grow and with the birth of new leaves. This week reduces the space for watering before 7 days to 5 days the growth is good but as everything in life can improve but I am happy with my performance and learning from my failures.

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Got a couple more days until day 56 (week 8) but just wanted to add a few things from this week. The flush is coming along nicely and getting some really nice colors to come out, Really excited for the finish. Just uploaded the day 56 pictures, shes looking beautiful!

Started some LST this week. Keeping it pretty simple did a simple runoff test and everything came in range so going to keep nutes the same, drink rate has almost doubled since last week, fully saturating pots everything 12 hours or so. Probably going to do a deep clean of tent before get heavy into flowering and I’ll add some more pictures as I go with LST.

4/1/2023 Week 7- Day 1 of Veg (Day 59 overall) Water Change Day!!! Water was really low it was just above the hump in the Res cutting it close to not having enough water in the system to keep it going. They drank a lot making it close going the full 14 days. I am still going with the previous grows and adding 36 Gallons but even looking at the root I think the SILICA is working and the roots are further along at this point than in previous grows. This next two weeks will watch how much they drink and how low my Res starts getting, and will make a decision on changing the water weekly from here on out or still keep on the plan of every other week until Week 4 of Flower. I will be taking two clones from each to breed over the next few weeks depending on when I am going to flip them. 4/3/2023 Week 7- Day 3 of Veg (Day 61 overall) A little FIMing, A little Topping, and a Little bit of defoliation. Might have to take my clones during the week this week, I am trying to wait until Saturday to hit week 8 but again they are getting all over the place and I need to trim some of the sides and lower areas. 4/4/2023 Week 7- Day 4 of Veg (Day 62 overall) I decided to take my clones and clean up the lower half of the plants. I took 2 clones from each plant to go into the cloning machine. 4/5/2023 Week 7- Day 5 of Veg (Day 63 overall) Water Temp is sitting at 73. Right in my ideal range for my setup. Ideal range 70-74 My Temp Tent is my ideal zone75.6 Ideal for this grow 70-78 The lights are still waiting the switch to flower to get maxed out... The Humidity is coming in right at 60% I love it.. I took so much off yesterday I figure it was a good day to let them rest. 4/6/2023 Week 7- Day 6 of Veg (Day 64 overall) I needed to Defoliate some and I topped a little. The plants might force me to flip them soon. Next Wed is the 10 week mark half way through the 20 weeks. The net is Bingo... Which means that If/when the plants hit the net I will have to flip them. The Net is set to the max height that I can let them get based on the Breeders Stretch report 75%. 4/7/2023 Week 7- Day 7 of Veg (Day 65 overall) #3 is 22 inches Tall, #2 is 19 Inches Tall. Net is set at 24 inches. Net is also set as my Bingo point, if they hit the net then I have to flip no matter what to account for the Breeders recommended 75% Stretch allowance. I think I am going to have to flip right at the 10 week mark of the Competition which is Wed 12 Apr. I topped a little, I de-foliated a lot to start getting it ready for the anticipated Flip.

Having a battle with my soil ph which is at 7.3 (down from7.8) I have been watering with water in the 4.5- 5 ph range since the soil ph is so high. I am also having nitrogen issues . I stopped feeding a last week. I added a bit of top soil to the plant which might have added more nutrients making it worse. I am going to do s flush and see If things improve.

Day 33 (technically not week 6 but im doing this diary to track between visits) Weather has been shocking the last week, forecast is looking sunny the coming week so hopefully next visit theyve exploded with growth.
