Those two permanent marker plants are still kinda short, but they're finally starting to take off. It's cool to see them getting bushy. They're looking good so far. Well, it's Christmas again. This year feels a little different, though. Maybe it's the snow blanketing everything, or the way the tree lights up the whole living room. Either way, it's cozy and warm, even when it's freezing outside. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Santa brings. I hope I get that new video game I've been wanting. But most of all, I can't wait to spend time with my family. We always have so much fun This past week was a good one for the plants. They started the first week of their stretch, and they've already grown a decent amount. I can really see them filling out. It's cool to watch them grow so fast. I can't wait to see how big they get by the end I always get a little worried at this stage, like they're not gonna get as big as I want them to. But then I remember how they always end up surprising me. By the end, they're always perfect.

Hello Diary, The second week of flowering is over and as you can see from the photos, Medusa is developing incredibly fast. The flowers are filling up really nicely, taking on an already beautiful scent that overwhelms me when I open the Farm's door. All in all, both plants are beautiful, although they differ in structure, the flowers are almost identical on both plants. It's unbelievable to me that it's only the fifth week since the beginning of the vegetation, they are really developing very quickly. They stagnated in height growth, only a few centimeters this week, so they reached their maximum height of about 50 cm. This requires more frequent watering, so I increased the amount when watering and the time interval between each watering decreased. The conditions are good, the temperature is around 25 degrees while the humidity is around 45%. Here's what it looked like last week. 22/02/2023. - Day 29. Watering. I prepared 8 liters of water, lowered the pH. at 6.0 and I watered both plants evenly with that amount. 26/02/2023. - Day 33. Watering. This time I added Bigger Flowers and Thicker Flowers from the Bio Flowering Booster palette. I also removed a couple of leaves at the very bottom of the plant to make watering easier. 28/02/2023. - Day 35. Photographing and measuring plants. Impressionante la velocità di fioritura delle dutchfem autofiorenti! Sono nel periodo di fioritura inoltrata e si stanno riempiendo tutte di infiorescenze dure, appiccicose e molto resinose e profumate, in giardino sembra di essere in un negozio di frutta fresca! Sfiorano il metro e cinquanta centimetri di altezza alcune e la maggior parte sembrano XL perché le lunghe diramazioni si stanno riempiendo tutte in ogni parte delle piante. Purtroppo il clima al centro Italia è un po' sfasato e ogni giorno alterna caldo umido forte con pioggie fresche brevi e poi ritorna il sole. Gli afidi stanno provando con tutte le loro forze a superare la protezione dell'olio di piretro, sono sotto le foglie gli afidi ma non stanno minimamente indebolendo il vigore delle piante anzi sembrano fiorire più aggressive e la resina inizia ad incollare ogni insetto parassita che sta tentando di attaccare le mie piante. Biologicamente queste varietà sono impeccabili e si adattano ai cambiamenti climatici e ai nuovi insetti parassiti resistono. Qualche lepidottero ha iniziato a mangiare qualche foglia ed infiorescenze ma non è un problema perché manualmente ogni giorno dedico un ora a rimuovere i bruchi. I got a week and a half notice that I had to go on a work trip out of country for 10 days, so the clown show continued. I was definitely overwatering them. Thanks @shinsimilla, I saw the difference after waiting a few extra days. Also, I definitely should have started LST at least a week earlier than I did. Now for work issues: I found an old security camera that the cats had knocked over a million times and damaged. With a lot of tape, I got it working again and set up in the tent so I could see what’s going on while gone. Be warned, the photos are NOT good quality. I also looked up DIY self-watering systems. I needed it as simple as possible to reduce the risk of something breaking while I was thousands of miles away. I found one where it wicks water up a cotton or wool string. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/P0hn5cKZ0Z0 I cut up an old 10K shirt that was made of cotton. I had just broken down my balcony garden since it’s already getting cold here. I took two long planters, lined them with a construction garbage bag to be the reservoirs. Even though the floor of the grow tent is waterproof and I put plastic between the floor and outside of the grow tent, I didn’t want to risk any water getting out while I was away. I was nervous y’all. Basically, you wet the fabric then use a chopstick to run the it through the plant from bottom to top. It needs to be long enough to have a few inches sitting in the bottom of the reservoir. I filled each with 3L of water with the BioBizz nutrients mixed in and ph’d to 6.1. More info in week 5.

This week has been sunny, hot and wet. I have not done a thing except to keep an eye on Miss Dancing Dosidos. It has been a hot and rainy week and I did not feed this plant this week. That is why I did not record Ph levels and PPM, etc this week. I have really wanted to give this diary an honest, straight up review of Miss Dancing Dosidos growing in whatever Mother Nature threw her way. We have braved the elements of nature thus far. She is tall and thin but has a lot of bud growth. I am eager to see how big her buds will get. One thing that I have not been super pleased with is using Miracle Grow as a nutrient. This outside grow was an experiment using Miracle and not my typical Fox Farm nutrients. At this point in my grow, Miracle Grow needs to remain for garden vegetables and flowers NOT cannibas. As a result, I have made an Executive Decision and will going add some @Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the remainder this grow. Stay tuned to next week and comments are always welcome. Alright ladies and gentlemen...welcome back to my diary. Its now the end of week 6 for this killer cross we've created and she is doing her thing! Wow! Very impressive node separation and as you can see, she has an insane amount of flower sites! I really can not wait to see what how she does in bloom. I ended up doing a little more LST to get the canopy where I want it and its still going to need some work but were close. Maybe some super cropping in the future 🤔...anyways we did a little top dressing of COM Stonington blend plant food too just help her through this extra long veg period I have her going through. To update, just keeping the photos up to date

This week we should really see these colas blow up and start stacking really strong. The mixer of 7 hours of sun and 17 hours under my LEDs has really helped my girls grow strong. Nothing compares to good old Mother Nature.

Surprised by how well the water is wicked to the medium from the water bottle, it took a long time, but wick works as intended. I was unsure how much if any nutrient would be transferred via wick but the high salt content altered pH at certain parts. Right before the symptoms arose I decided to supercrop the stem top to bottom on one plant, shortly thereafter the burning happened from the same plant from running 8.0 pH, and nutrient uptake ground to a halt on the plant that was dealing with stress. She doesn't seem happy. Remedied with aluminum sulfate, things seem to be coming back to normal. I need to be more careful with salts. I need MOAR knowledge. How many weeks shall we veg? Going to take a while to fill that canopy with just two plants, should probably start topping now but I'll wait until pH problem Is remedied first, a couple more days hopefully 🙏. I defoliated maybe 6 bigger leaves that had burned yellow on one plant, as it comes back to optimal range, this will be a good opportunity to observe the subtle differences that early defoliation can make. Added a pound of tourmaline powder and biochar, both increase soil urease and invertase activities. *2025 Didn't charge the biochar skewing my ph drastically. Urease is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea into CO2 and NH3 and is a key component in the nitrogen cycle in soils. Invertase (d-fructofuranosidfructohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.26) is the enzyme that capable both break down α-1,4-glycosidic linkage between d-glucose and d-fructose of sucrose and transferring αβ-D-O-fructofuranoside residue to an acceptor substrate (Toledo et al., 2019). Since tourmaline is widely distributed in the natural environment and has many excellent physical and chemical properties including radiating far infrared energy, permanently releasing negative ions, producing an electrostatic field, releasing rare microelements, and stimulating the growth and metabolism of microorganisms and plants, tourmaline had been conducted to alleviate potential environmental pollution. Perfect for how much seaweed I've added just incase.

Spread this girl out a bit using some string and mild LST. She's responded super well and all the bud sites seem to be getting a nice dose from the TS1000 :) Bit late uploading this week but the pictures were taken back on Tuesday meaning this is still an accurately dated upload.
